I went to this spa last week for a massage and facial. I had requested a deep massage when I got there. My massage therapist was Teresa. She told me that she does not do deep tissue massages. I had scheduled a 60 minute massage and all she did on the front was pulled my feet and head. did not touch my arms, my hands, my legs or my feet; to say the least I was beyond disappointed. The lady that did the facial was amazing. She gave me the best facial I have ever had. She did exactly what I would've expected. I believe her name was NEEKA. The assistant manager was supposed to call me. Her name is I never heard from her. Still haven't heard from her. That shows her lack of interest in her shop. read more

This place is soo conveniently located right at the heart of south loop. Busy intersection with other great shopping. I come here often to rejuvenate in relaxing massages. Recently I got a massage and then a facial right after!! The facial was soo great where the therapist worked on areas - face, neck, scalp, ears, shoulders not traditionally worked on in body massage therapy. And best of all, steam! It was sooo relaxing. I love Elements Massage. I have racked up a bunch of massage credits during the pandemic and I was in a much needed massage. Jeannette was amazing! She was able to locate every knot that developed during this pandemic. I will be booking my next appointment with her in a few weeks. This location has enhanced COVID-19 measures to protect the guest and staff. Temperature scanning, hand sanitizer, mask, staggered appointments, and they heavily clean in-between treatment appointments. I will say it can be a bit challenging to get comfy with a mask on but I managed! I notice one difference is that they no longer had the air purifiers. I did not see one in the lobby or in the treatment room. Hopefully they keep those as many of us have indoor allergies and all the treatment rooms have carpet. Air purifier are great especially with the pandemic at circulating the air in the treatment rooms without having a fan blasting all over your body. Other than that I would highly recommend Elements massage to my family and friends! read more

I was so pleasantly surprised to get a call about a prepaid massage I had forgotten about. When I had tried them previously I had mixed results and one particularly bad massage so stopped going. It had been almost 2 years, but they left a message and I booked myself shortly after. When I called, the receptionist did a nice job of asking about my type of massage needs and pressure requirements before suggesting a therapist. I saw Dee and she did a really good job. As I was waiting before my appointment I overheard them telling someone else about their Holiday promotion (buy one hour for $99, get one free) and while disappointed they didn't mention it to me, I bought a couple after my massage on their website. $50 as a non-member is awesome. I believe they often have Groupon or other types of introductory promotions. Side note: huge props for allowing booking appts and letting clients buy pkgs online! I just had my second massage there in recent days and I had Yolanda. Dang it! She's moving to Atlanta and I am so bummed. She's exceptionally skilled and as a person with regular back and shoulder problems, she had me fixed in an hour. She recommended a few others to me and I look forward to finding my new Yolanda. With all of the membership massage places, it really comes down to having a therapist that works for you. Nothing I dislike more than spending my time and money trying someone out only to realize it's not a good fit. This is a clean, modern place and their online booking tools means I'll keep coming as long as I find a therapist I like. read more

I have seen this chain in other cities, but this was my first time getting a massage with them. The staff were polite, and my masseuse was super nice... BUT, even with the first time discount, I didn't feel like this was worth the money. I didn't realize until reading the paperwork that it's not a full hour of massage because they give 10 minutes for undressing and then 10 minutes for dressing. Or perhaps mine just happened to start late and end early... Also, it was extremely uncomfortable for me as it was a 90 degree day that I went, so the AC was a bit of a shock for me - as were my masseuse's hands!!! SO COLD! The oil even felt cold. I left her a nice $20 tip regardless. There are so many places to try out that I doubt I'll ever come back here. read more

I do think it is important to note this is not a high end spa-- ie there isn't a separate changing room and the times they advertise are inclusive of 10-15 minutes of changing time. You will just get water at the end. However, the rooms are each individual and you can't hear other people so still better than many. The price seems right for the service, $30 off for first timers! Due to Covid you put a mask on while facing up and they don't have blankets, just a couple sheets. read more

I had a spafinder gift card that needed to be used and came here, as it was the closest location to my home. Ericka was amazing! She has magical hands! Highly recommended. She walked me through everything she was doing, checked in to ensure the pressure was good throughout and even gave me some stretches to do during the day to relieve some stress/pressure while I'm at work! The studio is clean, everyone I spoke to was friendly and I didn't have to wait long in the lobby. My only "complaint" is the parking situation. They validate at the garage next door, but the garage still charges $13 and it's valet. I understand it's downtown Chicago, but with validation, $13 seems like a lot. Maybe today was exceptionally busy, but I had to wait awhile to get my car. The Roosevelt train stop is around the corner, if it's convenient for you. read more

I didn't catch the beautiful women's name at the front desk, but her personality was great. My massage therapist, Curtis, was fantastic. I'm familiar with the Elements business model, as I came to a franchise moderately when I lived in Seattle. In January of this year, I dragged my husband to a scheduled session. We are in our late 30's and very active, so we know that massage is instrumental in keeping with a healthy lifestyle. My first massage was with a male therapist. He started out pretty zen, but then got incrementally frustrated with me. I am a very tense person. No amount of stretching or yoga has worked in the last 20 years. That's just how my body reacts to pressure. Sorry not sorry. He kept telling me (almost chastising me) to relax. Listen, bro, I'm really trying, but now I'm insecure about it...and you aren't fucking helping. We purchased the membership, despite my experience (my husband had a much better session with his therapist). And again, we acknowledge that massage is important. Our next month, we scheduled our appointments. I noticed that I got into the room 8 minutes after our scheduled time and I was dressed and finished 5 minutes til the hour. My husband, who went in after me, was done and in the waiting room BEFORE me. Am I paying for an hour, or what? Currently, we are here for our 3rd month massage and it's 2 minutes til the hour we were supposed to start. With change time, I know already we won't be getting the full hour. Had a great deep-tissue massage here recently, and it was very affordable thanks to a deal that Groupon was running. My therapist was Lily, and she did a great job listening to me and executing exactly what I asked for. I also appreciated that she periodically checked in with me about the amount of pressure. The massage rooms were quiet, clean, and had a small area for you to put your belongings and clothes. You do have to fill out a worksheet before your massage, so be sure to budget an extra 10 minutes or so to do that before your appointment-- if not, that time comes out of your scheduled hour. I did dock a star because I was not pleased with the end of the massage. Other places that I have been in the past have offered a shower facility or at least a warm wet towel to rub off the lotion/massage oil. Here, there was nothing like that. I might give them a try again with another message therapist but come on... 1st: If someone asks for a certain level of pressure you have to meet that expectations according to the paperwork you fill out. 2nd: If you say focus on a certain area of my body not this area and not this other area just this.... Yet still do it I didn't say anything because professionalism needs to be performed accordingly. As a small business owner there's non excuses. I had a session with Christine (Krystal?) yesterday and let's just say i am thoroughly underwhelmed and disappointed. I booked for 2 hours and I believe the therapist honored the timeslot for the most part. Where i take issue is with the following: 1. I requested medium to deep pressure - my massage honestly felt as if the therapist was just rubbing lotion with the lightest touch 2. The therapists hands were quite cold, almost clammy which made me slightly uncomfortable 3. The room was cold 4. i think there was something wrong with the music player as all of the songs were distorted/experienced glitches which absolutely disturbed my massage experience 5. Now I believe that some of these things could have shifted or been made better throughout the session. However, the therapist never asked me once how was the room, am I comfortable, too hot/cold, and most importantly how is the pressure? Nothing.. It was my first time at elements and will definitely be my last. The service was at best, sub-par unfortunately. read more

The massage was really good. The massuse, Pamela, done a fantastic job at applying and checking on pressure each time moving on to another problem area. 2 stars due to the misleading advertisement. My 90 min session started at 5:05 and ended at 6:25. This includes the "consultation" and changing times which i do not need 10 mins to remove my clothes since I was already prepared for an easy slip off. During check out, just like many other places, they will try to push for the membership package. I would have gotten it if the 90 min massage was delivered since the massage was one of the best and it is at a convenient location for me. However, just thinking that all the future 90 mins purchases will actually be 70 mins, in my mind, I will be getting a 20% rip off each time. There is a fine print inducating that the advertised minutes are not the actual times entirely for the massage. This makes me feel that the large print of their advertised times are misleading and unfair to their clients. Pros: clean, online booking, and the open hours. Cons: pricing would be reasonable and fair if the advertised time is the actual time for the massage. read more

I won a massage from my chiropractor and it got scheduled for a Saturday and I live a fair bit south. I was en route to my appointment and hit a few Saturday snags. I got a call from the receptionist who informed me there were forms I needed to fill out and asked if I was on my way and I informed her I was and that we ran into some traffic issues. No one ever mentioned a $40 missed appointment fee. Not when I scheduled and not when they called me. At no point did they mention this. No paperwork stating it either. I show up about 30 minutes late since she never said I couldn't come in or had to reschedule or called me back to tell me I had to. So when I got in I was told about rescheduling and the fee I never knew about. Actually kind of pissed. Still going for my free massage but a terrible way to treat a potential long term client. read more

I like the option to have a heated table and that you provide water. I also like the tranquil music provided. The consultation before your massage it great. A few suggestions: not everyone can afford a membership for lower rates so return patrons should be offered discounts for chosing to be loyal, also, there's no time allowed after your massage to lay relaxed for at least fifteen minutes. Had a wonderful experience with Pamela! I had an Hour massage with her 2 weeks ago and wanted her to focus mainly on my shoulders neck and back. She did just that! I have a hard time relaxing my mind and body when getting a massage( and just life in general) ; But thankfully Pamela was able to help me calm down when she noticed that I was tensing up or not breathing. I appreciate her reminding me to focus on my breathing. So at the end of the first session she gave me her recommendations and I scheduled a 90 minute massage 2 weeks later. My 90 minute massage was a full body, but focused on neck, back and shoulders again. It was AMAZING! So glad to have a Massage Therapist like Pamela that helps me relax and calm down! The front office is incompetent. I've had three massages. When I scheduled my first massage, I asked for a deep pressure masseuse. I was given a masseuse who not only couldn't provide a deep tissue massage, but her technique was incompetent, where she literally rubbed her hands across my skin so quickly it started getting hot from the friction. Then she rushed me out. For a supposed 1 hr massage I got maybe 40 minutes. My second massage was great. No complaints there. In fact, it made me hopeful. For my third massage, I was asked whether the same time next week would work for me. I said yes. I come back and it turns out my massage was scheduled for 30 minutes later. read more

I had a pretty useless massage. I made an appointment for a deep tissue massage but the masseuse was so weak that I barely felt much at all. She also had icy hands! Then I was overcharged. The guy at the front desk said he applied the first timer discount but he charged my card for the original. They didn't even ask me to sign so I didn't since he told me how much he charged. However when I got home and double checked the receipt it was the original price. I called and they kept on not admitting the mistake. Until finally the guy said he got it and will refund the extra charge and that it will show up after a few days. IT NEVER DID! Such a scam! read more
