First time staying here at the Element and I have to say that I was stunned by the aesthetics. Our room had such high ceilings that I thought I was in a model home. The difference was that there was no carpet. I like the concept, but it created a lot of echoing in the room. The room included a little kitchenette with a sink, mini fridge and cabinet space for dishes and such. Beds were comfortable. Staff was friendly. Restrooms were clean. When booking a hotel, I always look at the restroom images. This was very modernly designed restroom, pretty large in size, and quite clean! Much approved. They have complimentary breakfast which is always a plus which included all the basics plus an hot stove bar. Other amenities they have included a good sized gym with a few treadmills and dumbbells. There is also a pool that looked pretty fun but since we only stayed 1 night, we didn't have a chance to enjoy it. read more

I have almost in never in my life encountered such rude and incompetent customer service attempting to book a hotel room and then calling the hotel directly. The reservations line linked to their official Elements online profile (a 435 number that goes to a reservations line and not the hotel directly) need to monitor their calls. I just called. "Hello you've reached reservations for the Elements MOOB when would you like to book your room?" No that's not a typo. The person on the other end said MOOB not Moab. Knowing that these are people in a call center I'm willing to overlook the oversight and I ask, "Can you tell me if you use fragrance in the rooms or in the lobby?" (I get migraines and fragrance are a trigger so I need to know.) This was the response: "Listen, it's not going to do any good if I answer these questions for you if our rooms are booked so can you just tell me what dates you're looking to book?" "Can you tell me your name?" I ask. Silence.... CLICK. Yep the Elements Moab not only hires reservation agents who cannot pronounce Moab, they hire people who cop an attitude about booking a room. While I assume that might be because they are bonused on bookings, it's still no excuse to start a phone with this kind or attitude and hang up on a potential client when they ask for the name of the person with whom they are speaking. I have friends who have worked for Marriott for decades and I think to myself "The operations manager will want to know about this, and also can answer my fragrance question." I call the hotel directly at 3:30 today and get Jerry. I ask in a friendly tone, "Hey Jerry can I speak to your ops manager?" He says let me check if one is available what is your name? So I tell him my name. He gets back on three minutes later and says and I quote, "MY MANAGER IS A MEETING RIGHT NOW AND I CANT TAKE A MESSAGE." Ok thanks Jerry, me and my group of people looking to book rooms at a local hotel will gladly pay $400 a night SOMEWHERE ELSE. If this is what the customer service is like out of the gate I can't imagine what a nightmare it would be to stay here. read more

I would give this a 4 or 5 but... There was terrible service from a bartender named Daniel. He asked for my order I gave it to him but because I wasn't sure about the beer he gave me to taste he walked away and started helping other customers in place of putting my order in which honestly should have been simple enough. He came back several minutes later and asked me what I wanted to order I told him what it was and that I'd already gave him my order and I'd like to try a taste of another beer. He gives it to me steeped in attitude telling me I had to pay for tasting because he was just giving me free beer. I told him he should have told me that upfront and that I've never experienced that anywhere in all of my travels throughout America. Then he told me it's typically considered part of your beer order the tasting and most people just order what they tasted and I told him I didn't like it and I've never had ANY OF THEM so why would I know what to order. I ended up ordering the second tasting and he put the order in. Here's the thing about it that really needs to hit home. This is my first major interaction with customer service after a long trip. I was very much looking forward to having a good meal and relaxing after the trip. I will say the food was fantastic but man it would have been great if the customer service was anywhere near that because it really wasn't. To sum it up he made me feel like average bartending was too much and I was doing something wrong. And if you're thinking maybe it was busy honestly not terribly so there were plenty of tables open and people were coming in at a sensible pace that shouldn't overwhelm a bartender. He also was curt with multiple customers when dealing with food orders and serving alcohol in the lobby. Also some officious shut down on liquor quantity in drinks all of which understandably should be addressed but also with friendly customer service. All of these customers you could tell felt bad about their experience. Management please train or retrain customer service to Daniel because he doesn't have it figured out. read more

This is a great hotel, if you're visiting Moab. The location is perfect between the gateway to Arches National Park and town. The staff at the hotel are exceptionally helpful and welcoming. The suites ate very large, spotlessly clean, and had everything we needed. The breakfasts are outstanding, and the bar and grill provide phenomenal food and service. The pool and two hot tubs are gorgeous and large. There are bikes for rent here, and really nice bike paths along the Colorado River Hwyv128 and and another into town. We want to say "Thank You" to the entire team at this location for making our visit a pleasure. read more

Check-in and parking are convenient. Bar staff funny and friendly. Disappointed that this property does not offer Coca Cola products. Went to lounge looking for a Diet Coke. Was told the there were no diet Cola products on property. Not even Diet Pepsi was available. What gives? Ice machine on our floor did not work either, had to go down a floor. Room was nice and clean and comfortable. Would stay here again. This hotel is a bit out of town and the center of activity. read more

We booked this hotel for the good ratings but I asked the front desk guy for a room no pets, & that I am allergic to pets and have asthma and he replied were pet friendly and all our rooms have had pets in them but we clean it well. I'm a well traveler and no hotel employee has ever said that before, they always have rooms for people with allergies that they don't put pets owners in. I was disappointed and as soon as I got in the room I started sneezing all the good reviews I read about this hotel over shadowed my experience. If you have medical issues with allergies, don't stay here. We checked in late night already and tired from driving, we just went to the room given. I had to take extra meds. We love animals, but t can't be in our sleeping quarters. read more

Nice hotel with a few quirks, and certainly over priced. When we checked in, we were told there were no Kings available (even though we reserved one and were checking in around 4pm). We were asked if a room with 2 queen beds would be acceptable and we said NO! So she clicked no more than 3 keys on the keyboard and magically, a King room suddenly became available (!) - that smacks of shadiness. The room was nice, matching the quality I find at most Marriott properties. Breakfast was included: fresh fruits, cereals, muffins, oatmeal, yogurt and a grill where you could get fresh-made scrambled eggs, sausage, breakfast tacos, etc. We were there 2 nights and the ice machines in the hotel did not work. Each time we reported it to the front desk, they basically denied they were not working ("oh someone filling a cooler probably just emptied it..." or "you probably didn't put the bucket under it far enough..."). We tried to get ice at 5:30am, 6pm, midnight... there was NEVER any ice. These were the smallest ice machines I've ever seen in a hotel, and that is surprising considering the hotel is right next to (hot) Arches National Park. Considering they are charging a pretty high price at this hotel, they should be able to afford an upgrade. The good news is, whenever we asked for ice, they would go get some for us, but it was not always convenient to track a staff member down. I would rate this as 4 stars if we hadn't had the odd king/queen checkin experience, the ice machines worked, and the price was lower. read more

Very nice place to stay. Two Queen room was big, well lit, dark at night due to great black out blinds, and very quiet. No sounds from the rooms on either side. Nice big TV. Next to each bed are shelves and power outlets for all your devices. This was well thought out. Bathroom and shower are very nice. Breakfast day 1 was cold French toast. Day 2 was hot off the griddle blueberry pancakes that were awesome. The yogurt/ granola bar was nice. Overall pretty good for a free hotel breakfast. Swimming pool and hot tub are fantastic. Really enjoyed relaxing poolside laying on a huge daybed in the shade. Kind of felt like being a rock star for a couple hours. EV charger was very convenient but you will need to use the SemaConnect App. Might want to setup an account beforehand. read more

We reserved a Studio room for our 4 night stay that was supposed to have a kitchen. We arrived at the hotel and were given a basic room with 2 queen beds. We immediately called the front desk and were told this was the only room available but could receive a discount. With the studio we had intended to cook so brought food so this was very problematic. We asked to speak to the manager who found a room with two king beds but NOT a studio we paid for. The room had no stove, no dishwasher, no sofa bed, and no safe (all supposed to be included). We did reach out to the manager before our departure to discuss how we would be compensated. I left 3 messages at the front desk with my cell phone number. On my fourth call to the front desk on our last day the manager happened to answer and said she had tried to call me several times. I asked her to share the cell number she had been given to call me and I was told "no" she never received it and had been trying to call me in the room yet failed to leave any messages. When I expressed my frustration about lack of follow up and the issues with the room assignment she said "you really need to come and meet with me in person". Other problems included: We called 3 times about room cleaning and were told it would be done but each day it was not done. We had to hunt down towels and toilet paper and leave trash in the hallway. Also we received a charge on our credit card of 2000 dollars for this stay even though we fully paid in advance with points.  I saw the pending charge on my credit card and asked the manager bout this and she assured me we would not be charged but the charge still went through. It has been 6 weeks since our trip and @Marriott International has not resolved this. I have been passed around to 4 different people who say "we are working on it", but then nothing happens. read more

10/10 don't recommend. The management + staff were not only unhelpful, but incredibly rude and unkind. The receptionist hung up on me. This was an incredibly terrible and stressful time in my life, and the way these people treated me tremendously added to that. The management acted very pretentious and honestly talked down to me and talked to me as if I were dumb. There are plenty more beautiful properties nearby that you should invest your money in and that will truly treat you with the hospitality and kindness that you deserve. read more

Found this hotel last minute but we are very glad we stayed here! Convenient location minutes from Arches & also downtown dining and shopping! We thought the hotel was beautiful and clean, the room was perfect and spacious. We had a great experience with the service at the bar. We didn't get a chance to use the pool but it looked great. Stayed here mid-April. Very nice and clean. Tall ceilings made the room seem even more spacious. Arrived later in the evening so we ate at the restaurant/bar in the hotel. Just had a burger and a salad. Think it was a bison burger, very good. The salad was huge, enough for the wife and I. The hotel is a couple miles from the downtown area of Moab so we drove into town to have dinner the next day. Okay. Tourist food. Wished we had eaten at the hotel. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. read more

The Element is an exceptional hotel, with terrific, large room, substantial towels (far thicker than Hampton Inns have been providing in recent years), lovely pool/pool area/hot tub, and excellent staffing. The fitness centre is unusually large, with more cardio equipment than many and a crossover cable tower that few hotels offer. Serving the breakfast at several stations is an innovative way to avoid log lines, akin to better cruise ships we have seen. read more

Had not tried this brand so was excited to do so as it's now part of the Marriott brand. Did not realized it was pet friendly hotel chain. Apparently there are zero restrictions on where dogs can be, whether or not they need to be on leash and lack of control by owners with dogs barking in hallways, lobbies and apparently left in room for the day. Due to Covid, no housekeeping so presume that's the reason we could hear them Barking during the day. The reception desk is just inside front doors, but even at non busy times, no recognition is guests as they come and go. Would be a nice touch. The other issue is the placement of reception is directly across from breakfast area and the room is cavernous; thus, all the goings on at reception are echoed and really annoying. This is a nice new property that has a LONG way to Go (at a pretty stiff price) to convince me if a return visit. Breakfast was mediocre at best. Big disappointment. read more

Top tier hotel in Moab!! Last summer when a fire was raging in the local mountains they opened up a bunch of rooms for evacuated people and treated us like family for over a week. Each day I would drive out to watch the fire from a distance, praying that it wouldn't burn through my home or my neighbors', and then I felt so lucky to get to go back to my luxurious room or decompress in the hot tub. With the insane amount of new hotels and resorts popping up every year, it's easy to hate big fancy hotels in this town. But it's such a relief to know the people here have heart, they're connected to the local community, and the hotel is gorgeous. The Element is lucky to have solid employees like Jemima and Clint and I hope they are being well taken care of. read more

Stayed at Element Moab during my recent (9/21) trip to the Arches National Park and the Canyonlands National Park. I was pleasantly surprised at how perfect this hotel was, especially given the reasonable price. The building seemed new and the room was sparkling clean (very important to me). The room was large and nicely appointed; I really appreciated having a kitchen sink(!), microwave, fridge, and coffee/tea maker in the room. The breakfast was much better than other hotels in its class (e.g., it had a made-to-order omelet station one day). The pool and the jacuzzi, which was open until 10pm, were a welcome addition, especially after a long day of hike. The only problem I had was with parents who let their children run wild in the jacuzzi, but that is not the hotel's fault. I highly recommend this hotel. read more

Great comfortable stay. Very very clean & great views. After traveling all day with kids I actually felt relaxed at the end of the day here. Friendly staff & had the fresh fruit choices for breakfast. Didn't get to go by the pool but from the looks of it, it was nice. Great up to date exercise equipment. read more
