This is the third time I have found this place not open at all different times. They should just stop advertising it as part of the property or turn it into something else. I used my Google Translate, but it's always so cool to be able to interact in different languages. The service at this hotel is just super great. Checking into a hotel is either for business pleasure or a necessity, so for either of those reasons, you always want to have a smooth transition and then a comfortable one. This hotel exceeded my expectations. Where it's located doesn't seem like the most ideal place and you wouldn't expect it to look so nice and modern but it is it has a pool, free parking, a gym and another Marriott owned hotel across from it. There is a bar in the lobby and really is just a gorgeous hotel. I rarely hand out five stars, but if I do or when I do, it's because from beginning to end, I couldn't find one thing negative to say. So I'm always happy and ecstatic when I can get the opportunity to use all five stars. The showers are the best part. The water stays hot and gets really hot. The shower head covers your whole body. They have toiletries in the shower, shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. not cheap crappy stuff, actual good stuff that smells delicious. I stand corrected. One minor dislike the heat/ AC blows really loud, and there is a way to adjust the fan speed. However, that could just be a personal thing. They personalized the design to our needs. They researched vendors we had not yet secured, priced out and purchased all of the extras needed for the setup (e.g. flowers, linens, desserts, personalized signs), and coordinated with the venue, vendors, and ceremony participants beforehand and on the day of. I cannot even list all the details they managed, and they made sure everything was covered. Before we hired them, we were doing all the planning ourselves (in the midst of busy work schedules and moving). I honestly cannot imagine how we would have finished the remaining planning and setup/breakdown without their help. They took a huge load off our shoulders and allowed us (and our family and friends) to thoroughly enjoy our wedding week with as little stress as possible. The thing that irked me is you cannot bring outside drinks in at all. So your guests have to pay for beverages (soda, water, booze) out of pocket. To be fair, we offered to pay for the water and soda for the guests. Keep in mind each drink is $2 a pop (they kind of nickel and dime you here), so if you have 200 guests and they drink 2 drinks each, that's $800 (and add 18% gratuity) which brings you to an additional $944. Lovely looking hall, but I cant recommend this place based on their drink pricing policy alone. The service is genuinely warm and welcoming, and the breakfast is a standout--custom-made eggs cooked to order and expertly crafted coffee that beats any run-of-the-mill hotel fare. The location is great too--close enough to Brandeis University for visiting students, but also easy to explore Waltham's Moody Street for restaurants, cafés, and a little local charm. The area felt safe and walkable, and for outdoor enthusiasts, you can hop on nearby trails along the Charles River or Mass Central Rail Trail for some scenic exercise.
