When it came time for billing, I was surprised to learn that a second technician had been onsite, as that hadn't been discussed in advance. As a result, the labor cost came in about 2x higher than I expected. To be fair, I live on the second floor of a condo (with elevator access), and the installation was more complex due to the flooring, so I don't question the time or effort involved. To avoid any budget surprises, I would recommend confirming upfront how many technicians will be assigned to the job. Overall, I would work with Jason again and would recommend him to others. UPDATE- I had a small leak with one of the toilets and Jason came out right away to adjust it. He definitely stands behind his work! An internet search turned up mostly wood cutting boards made in China. And we learned that bamboo is hard on knife blades. We decided to find a local source and discovered Hardenbrook Hardwoods and met owner Dana. He has a great selection of woods and finishes in his shop, where the rich scent of wood dust fills the air. Dana is knowledgeable about wood types and finishes, and offers custom orders. We bought the end cut butcher block option, and they are beautiful. After a few days of use, the blocks shows scant sign of use. We like them so much we will be buying these to give as gifts in the future.
