You will leave this place disappointed and with broken and chipped nails within a week! They do not last due to the careless workers and their need to rush. I asked for acrylic Full set, but they used dip powder instead and charged extra because according to the lady it was easier for them to do. I also requested a French Tip Pedicure with pink tint on the rest of the nail and the nail lady refused to do it! And the lady working next to her(who did the exact same pedi on me before) tried to butt in too and tell me no. They literally could not give me a reason as to why they couldn't just add another layer of pink polish! After 10 min of back and fourth with 2 workers she agreed only by charging me extra... when French tip is pink and white... ridiculous! On top of that, they take a very long time to service you. Nails come out pretty consistent here, ladies are always nice. They are right across the street from my house and open late so it's very convenient for me to go last minute. Sometimes they don't come out perfect and I have to go home and file my nails some more, but they will fix whatever you ask them to. read more

I'm very disappointed with this place I've been coming here for over a year but for the past couple months their work quality has gotten so bad, I went to get a pedicure on a Friday when I called to request my girl Lisa they said she wasn't available, to go in on Saturday instead but since I was in need to get one I decided to go with the girl my daughter always goes to Dana she's good, but what upset me was when I got there Lisa was there and available I asked her if she was busy and she said no I don't understand why they told me she wasn't available to start off with .Anyways I got the pedicure done, by Saturday my polish had chipped like wth! I was very upset Because that wasn't the first time this had happened the previous time my nail color also had chipped 2 days after I had them done and so did my daughters. In another occasion I was charge $45 for a small set of nails I thought it was too much since they were nothing exotic or out of the ordinary but whatever's I paid it I called 2 days later to ask how much a full set was and they said $22 and up but that the $22 was usually for short nails so I don't get where they got the $45 so annoyed . I'm done with this place they over charge , and on top they charge $2 to use your card . This review is for when I came in here with my mom in August. I only came back here because it's close to my house, and we were supposed to head to the airport shortly after. I wish I remembered the older lady's name. She was so rude to my mom. We should have just walked out of there. My mom was trying to decide between colors and the lady was rushing her (it wasn't even busy; it was noon on a Thursday). She did a very mediocre and non professional looking manicure. My mom was trying to tell her the improvements she wanted on her manicure and the lady told her that's how the color looks like? Wth. And then she started talking crap about my mom in Vietnamese, not knowing my mom would understand. She said out loud that my mom's face looked like she was grieving at a funeral! (I found this out after we left). I felt bad taking my mom here, because it was after the older lady's bad attitude towards my mom that made me remember that she was the one that did a shit job on my pedicure in my previous review. This is the worst place I have ever been! I came in early today and the girl who was doing my ped did a horrible job, it was like 2 min ped. She also tried to charge me more that it was supposed to be thinking I wasn't going to see the receipt. I visited the excellent place, the pedicurist from the beginning did not greet me, she gave me a catalog where some treatment combos come, I liked the 39 dlls, I selected it for the massage that is about 10 minutes, when She was carving, She forget Put on the scrub and then put it on and it caused me pain to scrub myself with the pure scrubber, She forgot to dig up my nails and I had to tell her to do it, the massage took time and it was 2:57 mins, when it is more than 7-8 mins I threw my money in the trash, I won't come back, the only thing I look at is that his work car had the letter M. read more

This place is really close to my Grandma's so I get to wheel her here pretty easily for her manicures and pedicures. The people here are super friendly and always welcome and accommodate her really well even though she stays in a wheelchair. Their manicure is cheap at $9 and they take extra care of grandma's grey nails with the $20 pedicure (there's a $15 option). It's in a big shopping plaza so we would always come and get nails done, eat lunch, and go grocery shopping. Love the convenience! read more

It's probably the best place near Cerritos. They are quick, efficient, they have new spa chairs and they do gel manicures. My usual nail lady was on vacation and I was in desperate need of a fill and pedicure before a bridal shower. I went in and was taken to a pedicure spa chair immediately. It started off well, but the woman doing my pedicure was trying so hard to remove "excess" skin that did not need to be removed that I now have a major infection on my toe. I told her it was okay that she didn't need to get out that piece but she pulled and pulled. I bled and now with this infection and pain on my toe, I have to go on a vacation where I'll be walking around all day. It took Annie more than an hour to do my gel fill. I had also asked for waxing, but ran out of time because she literally took 25 minutes just to color my nails. I have never had such slow service. I said I wouldn't be getting my eyebrows waxed because I was running late and she still continues taking her time. On top of everything it seemed very uncoordinated about how they cared for customers. And they charge $2 to use the credit card machine? That's ridiculous. Giving this place 3 stars only because of Ivonne & Jenny. They both take their time in making sure my hands & feet look great. Truly good at what they do. I like that I can easily set up an appointment. I wouldn't suggest just showing up because there usually is a 20-30 min wait. It is more pricey than other nail shops in the area. I come here often to do my nails, but today was bad. Mary, I believe was here name, did my nails. I showed here a picture of 'coffin' shaped nails and asked her if she could do it she said yes. The problem was the nails didn't seem quite like the shape and the acrylic and gel nail polish was way too thick. And not only that, but it seemed like she was rushing through the whole process. I love this place, and my mom and I go here ALL the time to get our pedicures or manicures done. My mom is really good friends with a lot of the workers here, and the workers are very skilled and professional. I am especially writing this review because I had a recent incident with a different nail salon. The only reason I drifted to Lotus Nails on South Street for one time was because I called in for here, and it was busy. I just wanted a simple pedicure at Lotus, but they totally cut my right toenail wrong and I was in so much pain for about a week. After a bad experience with trying to get them to fix it for me, I came here to have them fix it. An extremely qualified nail artist had to almost surgically cut out and clean the would the other nail place gave me. Almost within hours, the pain was feeling less prominent. I'm never going to another place again after that experience. Thank you Elegant Nails for fixing my toe! The pedicures here are excellent. read more

Bad job, I left there with bleeding cuticles. She had neosporin in her kit as if she cuts people often.

Please don't ever go here. I went to get a fill and gel polish plus pedicure. The lady clipped too much skin off my toe so it started to bleed and stopped 30mins later. She was the one who did my sister's french tip nails with gel top coat. Apparently there was a hair caught in the first coat of gel that we asked her to remove, but she did not acknowledge it and just painted a second layer of gel on top of the hair since we didn't think the french was bright enough. I got a gel manicure for the first time here and I noticed , the third day later the polish on the corner of my nails looked like they were chipping which surprised me . I've never gotten gel that chipped before and today on my 8th day having this nail polish they are looking bad especially since gel is suppose to last for at least 2 weeks. The only reason why I give this place a 2 star is because I asked for an off white color they ran out of it . I asked for another color and they were also out the lady was really confused of what I wanted even though I was telling her the numbers of the gel to make it easier she just wasn't getting it. The color I eventually picked, I noticed when she was doing my nails there wasn't a lot of it because she would have to put the brush all the way back in she could've told me to pick a different color. I went to elegant nails with my daughter on Tuesday, worse experience ever I asked for gel and acrylic nails and for I kept getting told I did not need acrylic. However I am the one paying so they should have applied acrylic. My nails look like I done them at home. I spent 65.00 for me and my daughter. I went back Wednesday evening for them to try again. They added acrylic and my nails looks thick and uneven. I also got charged an additional $10.00 for elegant nails to make a mess of my nails. The manicurist was rough and cut my cuticle.
