What a great and appreciated eBike source in Atlanta! This was my first exposure to EBIKEs and I will never forget the joy of that first ride: the feeling of the pedal assist and flying along --like when you first learned to ride and your Dad was pushing you. The owner's daughter, super well-informed and helpful, was never pushy or impatient. She showed me several bikes and sincerely cared what I thought of each one. I was there quite a while and found a bike I liked a bunch but it was more than I planned to spend and I wanted to do more research and ride on bumpy road to test the feel of small tires. I also visited their sister store the Bike Barn on the Beltway and got above and beyond service there, too. Great group, very knowledgeable and helpful, not pushy or dismissive or snotty in any way. Oh, how I miss riding my bike 25 miles on the Bethesda Trolley, Capital Crescent & Chesapeake & Ohio Canal Trails. Before moving back to Atlanta, I donated my bike to a neighbor & now on the hunt for a new one. Now, does it make lazy seeking an electric bike one may ask? Absolutely not, as Randy, the Store Manager said I will still get my exercise in, just with a little boost going uphill if need be. As someone with a special lower back, I would push through the pain, just now the limitations need to be embraced. Hence, coming here. Randy educated me on the various types of bikes from the weight, shifting, speed, battery, throttle & motor aspects of an electric bike. What I'm gearing (haha) at is the power-assisted pedaling & gear shifting bikes...imagine riding uphill & instead of stopping, possibly falling over, you shift from the handlebars to kick in the electric option & keep it peddling. Now, these bikes are not your average Huffy, Schwinn, or Mongoose bikes (I've had all of those) with those average prices ranging from $74-$200. The base price for one of the electric bikes that I'm considering starts at $2,800. I am ready for the investment as biking technology will allow me to continue my biking & enhancing my physical fitness simultaneously. I live in the Los Angeles area and the 2 distributorships here went bye-bye. I checked with a local electric bicycle dealer/repair and they told me to order parts before they'd even look at my ride. I placed an order with Eric for the parts and he shipped them to me without question. With the parts in my hand, we couldn't replicate the problem so I asked Eric for permission to return these items. I bought a folding ElectroBike Air 33 in the winter of 2017 for use as my daily commuter. Riding it pretty rough over sidewalks full of bumps, cracks, and potholes, I ended up with quite a few maintenance issues over the first couple months. After six months of daily use, and a broken throttle or two, the motor gave out. I took it in and the owner of the shop honored the 1-year warranty and gave me a brand new bike. Riding the second bike a bit more carefully, six months later I still had some of the same maintenance problems as the first bike. Specifically, the battery locking mechanism broke off, the throttle kept breaking, and most importantly, the front fork was creaking badly. A few weeks ago, I ordered a similar folding electric bike from a different company. In the end, I feel like the bike I bought was of decent but not great quality, and had a lot of non-standard parts that made maintenance and upgrades difficult. The service I received from the shop owner and mechanics at both their main shop and the Bicycle Barn down in Inman Park was also of good but not great quality. From my personal experience, I would recommend ElectroBike for people who aren't planning on riding their bikes very hard and aren't interested in learning bike maintenance themselves. My newest bike was an online order and admittedly having a local shop down the road for specialized maintenance is something I'll miss. read more

Newer technology lets people like myself with physical limitations enjoy bicycling again! I bought a 51 pound Magnos folding Electrobike (www.electrobike.com) that allows me to cycle 25-35 miles at a time using any of three options: manual bicycle power, power assisted pedaling or fully automatic electric operation. Its folding design lets you carry and store it anywhere. The 7-speed Shimano gears lets you pedal manually but when you kick in the whisper quiet electric motor it adds 5 zones of increased power assisted pedaling that let you travel up to 25 mph. My physical limitations do not let me pedal continuously, but the third option of fully automatic operation lets me use the handlebar mounted throttle to glide effortlessly up to 20 mph. Features include the motor, which is mounted in the read hub, front and rear mounted lights, rear brake light, disc brakes, integrated rear rack, included charger with a 2-4 hour battery recharge time and tool kit. The Electrobike Magnos changed my life for the better. Their bikes are available all over the world, and in the USA. I recommend their bikes to everyone! read more

I took my E bike into Eric three weeks ago because I had a bad motor. It was a warranty item, so Eric rushed the motor so I could have my bike in time from my vacation. I almost had to cancel my vacation except Eric made it work for me. He took a motor off another bike just so I could go on my vacation. Eric was outstanding, I was very pleased. I'd also like to add my two cents to the other recent reviews of Electrobike of Georgia. I purchased one of the street bikes from this firm and am finding it really a thoroughly enjoyable experience, and have learned a lot as I go along. As in any new product of this type, there are always going to be a few after purchase adjustments and tinkering to make the ride a more personal experience. I have to say that the owner, Eric and his staff are exceptionally nice to work with. They are helpful, patient and supportive every single time. It's really nice to walk into a store where the personnel actually take the time to know your name and treat you like a valued customer. I've been biking now for about 70 years and literally all around the world. This store is unique and they're not 'bike snobs' like some of the places around town. The electrobike now makes a huge difference in what I can do...basically going up steep hills crossing large streets easily...just having a lot of fun AND keeping up with often much younger riders! This bike offers a lot of features like 21 regular gears that make pedaling, even without the motor pretty easy. With the five speeds AND the gears you can do just about anything, anywhere and the range, I think for the money is pretty exceptional. On a 20-25 mile ride, I don't even use 25% of the available charge. The battery itself is lithium and fits right into the frame so its not adding a ton of weight to the rear of the bike. You can't even see it! I did do one modification that I think anyone who is serious about riding ought to consider...even though it was not cheap. I put on top of the line Schwable road tires. They're German imports and I've been using them on all the bikes I've had. I have NEVER, ever had a flat with them! The difference between what came with the bike at these tires in decreased rolling resistance is almost hard to believe. They're worth every penny and I get about 40% more range on the battery--so I consider it a great deal overall. Finally, the bike is not cheap, but its a heck of a lot more bike for the money than a Cannondale I saw at REI for about 3.5X the cost of mine. For older riders like me who love biking and who need a bit more help in getting up those hills in the heat and humidity of Georgia, I'd really urge taking a look. There's no hard sell that I could discern and even if you don't buy you will find the experience interesting and very pleasant. read more

The owner is great before you purchase your bike but after he has your money, you're on your own. We purchased 2 iZip Dash bikes, a Thule rack and other accessories for about $5500 total. Owner wouldn't honor an agreement we had and one of the bikes was shoddily put together and started falling apart after two days. Stay clear of this business! It was a gorgeous Sunday and we had never been on the BeltLine. We decided to rent bikes so that we could explore more. We had originally wanted to rent from the Bicycle Barn but there was NO parking. We had seen ElectroBike while driving to the Bicycle Barn. It's just down the road. There was no parking there either but the two guys suggested a couple of places which were free and close. While my husband was parking, I started the rental process. I had intended to rent standard bikes, but they had a special of two for one on the electric bikes. What a deal! The two guys were friendly, professional, and very helpful with their familiarization of the bikes and suggestions of where to go. The BeltLine was VERY congested on such a beautiful day which was a bit of a bummer. But Piedmont Park had lots of space to ride freely. There were a few hills which the electric motor of the bikes came in very handy. The bikes seemed like they were brand new. We will definitely rent from ElectroBike again. read more

The owner treated my older parents like garbage, ripped them off and put the new $2500 bikes together so poorly, they lost a part, couldn't even use it on camping trip, and had to replace the part themselves. My folks bought two of the most expensive bikes (izip e3 dash) and an expensive rack for their camper, and it was like he couldn't get rid of them fast enough upon pick up. Then, when they arrived to their destination, not only had the seat of one bike come loose, the quick release skewer had fallen off! How's does that fall off!? They had to replace it themselves, again, after spending $2,500+ per bike!! What kind of service is that?!? To make matters worse, he had promised them throttles for free, and when they picked up the bikes, he decided to charge them for it, just because he thought he'd take advantage of older people. When my mother sweetly emailed to complain about his service, he wrote "glad you're enjoying the bikes" ! Folks, stay away from this business. It's not what it appears to be. read more

I went in just to try one out, see what the bikes were all about and I was totally amazed. The bikes are incredible. I ended up buying 2 different bikes and could not be happier. Everyone was very helpful and took the time to go over everything and make sure I got the bike that was right for me. I now bike commute to work and use it for fun.
