Good samaritans they are not. I blew my rear tire on the beltline because of mulch on the ground. Sucks but it happens. Bike Barn USED to service other bikes brands other than their own. I know, because they've serviced the one I just brought in before , but seems beltline greed has taken over. Unfortunately they are only servicing Bike Barn bikes, wouldn't service a new tire for me after walking a couple of miles from where my tire blew, forcing me to continue to walk my bike another mile home. Till I can figure out a new tire. I was even regarded to go other bike mechanics over a mile away, meanwhile, I see hanging tires that could've found a new home in my bike, hanging on the wall. Yeah nope. Won't rent, buy or ever recommend ever again. And I've sent a ton of business here in the past. read more

This place had plenty easy to ride options available which was exactly what we want for a day out on the beltline. It was a reasonable price and we had no issues. I was grateful that they had a few bikes with a bottle holder and a kickstand and many rental bikes don't always have those features. read more

Update on my understanding of their deposit -- the amount they charge seems to be selective. They charged me a $500 refundable deposit but didn't charge my friend any deposit when she visited. My friend and I have distinctively different phenotypes.... read more

Laid back place. Very nice staff. Process to rent a non electric bike was easy with a credit card. Plenty of bikes available on a weekday. Although I did tell them that they need more bikes with baskets; I had a small bag with me and they only had 1 bike with a basket available. Located right on the Beltline. read more

Friendly, Responsive, Convenient. Located right off the beltline for rentals. They also have a parking lot.

We loved riding bikes on the Beltline using bike from Atlanta Bicycle Barn. They were super helpful and in a great location. You can park there and access the Beltline. read more

I was delighted to rent cruiser bikes from Atlanta Bicycle Barn on my recent trip to Atlanta. You can't beat the location, which is right next to the Beltline, nestled between Krog Street and Ponce City Markets. The guy working the front desk was welcoming and offered lots of helpful tips for where to stop along the Beltline to take in the many sights, food, and beverage options that are available. The prices were reasonable and the cruiser bikes were in decent shape, and they provided helmets for free and a bike lock for $5. I was especially happy to be welcomed back by the resident bike barn cat when we returned the bikes after our 3-hour ride along the Beltline. read more

Impressed! This is the ideal Beltline bike rental place in every way. 1. Free parking in the parking lot (it's a bit rough getting in, and the ground is not smooth, but still, free parking is free parking) 2. Located RIGHT on the beltline. 3. GREAT rental price: $5/hr ($10 min, but that makes sense as you'll likely need 2 hrs anyway) and there's a flat rate if you need to go over. 4. Helmet included. Bikes are in pretty decent condition; I was able to find a pretty newish, clean one. For all the germaphobes out there. 5. Can pick your bike and also switch bike seats. I picked one with a cushier butt pad and was happy I did. Some of them look new. Tips: I am 5'2" and I found that the ONLY bike type that worked for me was the one in the picture. The others just don't adjust to as low as it would to place 2 feet comfortably on the ground, and without gears, I felt safer being able to have 2 feet on the ground. Some other short adults used kid bikes but I don't think that's a good way to go unless you're REALLY short, like 4 ft or under. Tip #2: There ARE ebikes, but they're $15/hr. Daniel was very friendly and helpful! We had a great biking experience. read more

Great location just off of the Beltline. Bikes were in great condition, including the kids' bikes. Made for a great afternoon!

Unfortunately this business knows nothing about customer service. Instead of learning from their mistakes, they deleted my friend's comment about the horrible service she got at this store. A "we are sorry you didn't have a good experience" would have gone a long way. They not only were so rude to her but they also lied about things they told us just the day before! Completely unprofessional! read more

Knocked on the door and a friendly fellow opened and asked how he could help, to which I gave the wheel to our stroller and said it's flat, can you fix it ? Waited outside and within minutes the inner tube was changed. Thanks for the quick service! read more

$10 a hour good deal. an hour should be good. belt line bike path is right behind the bicycle barn. it's a nice easy ride scenic view highly recommend. street parking is free however the "private parking" stated in other reviews is not entirely correct. there are signs everywhere saying this is paid parking. read more

One of the best customer service businesses on the beltline! I have come here twice for additional purchases for my bike and a quick repair. The people who work here are extremely intelligent and know what they are talking about and can easily help walk you through any purchase you need. Most recently my boyfriend got in a little accident on the beltline and the brakes got messed up. I brought the bike over 1st thing in the morning and they fixed it in less than 10 minutes for us. I love seeing small businesses like this be able to thrive through the pandemic. read more

Great prices and amazing location! Had so much fun. The guy behind the cash register who takes your information was very nice and helpful.

Located near the Beltline portion near Krog Street Market (across from Ice Box). The first time I visited, the staff was very friendly. My friend was not expecting an impromptu visit to the Beltline so she was dressed in heels. We decided that it would be more comfortable for her to explore the area on a bike. Unfortunately, she does not know how to bike. Unfortunately, the multi-seater bikes were not available. Unfortunately, no bikes came with training wheels. My friend is also not very tall and I think the last option (children's bikes) unfortunately were also not available. Through all this, the staff was patient and courteous even though we ended up not coming here. Fast forward to a week later. I finally got a chance to drop by. Again, FRIENDLY staff! Oh my, the experience on the Beltline and at Piedmont Park is magnified on a bike on a rare sunny day (these days). I highly recommend renting one. Perhaps bring a comfortable back pack or a basket for the bike (none were available there). You may want to stuff water and snacks in these packs/baskets. Warning. When you're wanting to explore the Beltline on a day with nice weather, other people may be thinking the same. It was a bit challenging navigating between crowds of pedestrians, bikers, children, dogs, and strollers. I had to use the bell more than once to alert people I was coming. $5/hour (2 hours minimum.. and it did take 2-3 hours). $20/day. read more

This was such a great deal. Okay, so you drive up, park, pay, pick a bike out, and ride. We rode from the shop to piedmont park, enjoyed a few hours at the botanical gardens, then rode to Ponce City Market for food and local dives. Afterwards we checked out the skate park and headed back to the barn. Great tour to take your out of town friends on or just a date idea for your special someone. read more

Super friendly employees. I wanted to rent a bike for a couple of hours. My brother wanted to take me on the Beltline Trail. The mountain bike was really cheap for only $15.00 and needed to bring it back by 6:00 P.M. I am really short so I needed a small bike, which they had. Besides the great service we received, I was impressed with the selections of bicycles for sale. I was amazed by how this place was decorated. It looked like an antique store. I couldn't help myself but to take mass pictures. A great bicycle shop to buy and rent. My brother has purchased a bike from here and has nothing but praise for this place. Pricing reasonable. Nice experience and will return. read more

My go to bicycle rental place! The staff is always very friendly and despite it being a pretty popular bicycle rental, the process to secure your bike is a pretty smooth one. There is a one sheet consent form to sign that you can share with another individual if you are not riding alone. You pay upon return and the price for two hours is more than decent! Not to mention, it is perfectly located right off of the beltline. I can't wait to return soon! There's also a cooler inside with cold drinks. Perfect to end a nice bike ride. I'd highly suggest renting from this place. read more

I ran over something while biking on the beltline, and luckily I happened to be right around this place! It knocked my wheel around just enough to let some of the air escape, but didn't actually pop the tire. I found the Atlanta Bicycle Barn and was able to pop right in. The staff member fixed my wheel in under 10 minutes and it cost around $10 for whatever he needed to do to it. This was on a weekday morning when there was no one else in the shop, but I know the shop gets busy on the weekends. read more

These guys were super nice and very knowable. I went in looking for an EBike not knowing much and had superb and super friendly informed service from Daniel (I think I remembered that right!?). Also great input from Lance who seemed to get mad respect from everyone who walked in. I tried several bikes but only one was a consideration for my specific needs and legs, so I left planning to come back for it to ride more on a warmer day. Eventually, an online bike with a two year warranty won me over, but I will always appreciate and send people to these guys at on the Beltline for rentals or anything bike related. Great group, fun shop-- and the coolest bicycle tire clock ever. read more

Took the whole family for a bike ride. The kids loved it. Can't wait til the weather is better in Atlanta to go out again. Since my daughter couldn't ride her own bike my wife and her got a tandum bike. Nice that they even offered those. All the bikes were clean and in great working condition too. Prices were actually lower than what I expected. So it was nice to go out with the family have a great time and not have to spend a lot. read more

Need to update hours and availability. Wasted a lot of time trying to get over there just to be told by the business owner next door that they are closed Monday and Tuesdays. This shop is right on the beltline just before you get to Krog City Market if you're coming from Ponce. The staff is friendly and not at all snooty. They went out of their way to make sure I got the right tires for my bike, steering me away from what would have been a bad choice (steel beads) for what I had in mind. Thanks! Don't expect a huge selection of parts, they are definitely a little weak in that department, but for service, tires and maybe a new bike this is where I'd go. read more

Atlanta Bicycle Barn is GREAT if you are just looking to do a short ride on the Beltline...really reasonable prices and perfect location. But if you are looking to do a longer ride - and perhaps ride on the gravel portion of the Beltline - we'd recommend going elsewhere, due to the lack of bike choices. We ended up having to swap our bikes twice - once due to a flat tire, once due to the chain continually popping off - which was okay...the young woman in the barn was really kind. But next time we come to Atlanta, we'll go somewhere (and pay more) to get bikes with hybrid tires, gears, etc. read more

I can't speak to the rental side. However, I'm very disappointed in the sales department. I was told that the bike I bought could be brought back anytime for tune ups for the first year. I was told that the reason the bike was more expensive than online was because of this. Clever verbiage. ONE tune up per year. ONE. Bait and switch at it's best. When on the phone the manager was so unbelievably rude and condescending that it was clear Bike Barn's customer service stops at the door. Unfortunate that they promote people to manager with no sense of customer service. Instead of calmly explaining the misunderstanding he scoffed and said, "No we don't offer that! That's just plain common sense that we wouldn't!" AVOID. read more

I haven't ridden a bike in so many years but the kid in me wanted to ride it! I've heard from my friends about renting bikes at Atlanta Beltline Bicycle. I was super excited. It is cheap overall. $10/hr, yes! You just have to fill out an easy paperwork, sign, and return bike back, pay later. Honestly, I was happy the bikes were coaster, old school cause that's how I remember riding them back in the days. Because I went on a colder day, got back in the two-hours time frame. Paying for the rental was quicker than picking it up. I would definitely come back and do it again, when the weather is better. Gotta get my bike game speed on! 2017 Review #17 read more

It's very simple, you go in and sign a waiver, pick out your bike, and boom! It's $10/hr. Not too shabby! Pros: They're at the perfect spot for the rentals -- next to the beltline! You could be cruising for hours if you really wanted to explore. One way takes you towards Piedmont Park and the other will take you near Ponce City Market. Cons: Their bikes, at least from the selection we had, are not great for short people. I'm standing at 4'11" and it was a pain anytime we'd have to stop because I'd have to brake and stumble over to try and get my feet down. They also don't have any hand brakes. Overall: I'd definitely rent a bike from them again if I didn't have my own with me and hopefully sometime during the weekday instead of the weekend. We went on a Saturday and the beltline was swarming with people which made it difficult to get around at points with people spread out across the entire path. read more

I was pleased with the whole process. Self parking was available even though we took a Uber from Downtown. It was pretty straightforward, fill out the paperwork and select your bike after you pay. I paid for 2hrs at $5 per hr. The Beltline is directly behind the Atlanta Bicycle Barn making it an ideal spot to rent a bike to ride the trail. It was a very nice and informative young lady washing down the bikes as they were returned getting them prepared for the next person which was a plus. Go early because when we returned our bikes around 4pm ppl we waiting on bikes to be returned as wasn't the case a couple of hrs earlier when we rented ours. read more

If you are looking for a basic bike rental to pedal your happy self up and down the belt line, this is your place. Not only is the service fast and friendly, it is CHEAP. There are a lot of ridiculous reviews on this page around the quality of bikes or the fact they might run out of them so here is some advice: 1. These are standard bicycles. If you are looking to rent a 6 speed turbo bike, look elsewhere. 2. Though the hanger looks large, they do not have an unlimited underground supply of bicycles for every soul in Atlanta on the first nice Saturday of spring. If it is a peak time, get here early. End of rant. :) Happy cycling! read more

Update from my initial review almost 2 years ago : Nothing has changed and Atlanta Beltline Bicycle continues to have superb business ethics and service all the way around. I recently had a blowout in Piedmont Park on one of the 3 tires of my trike due to riding the heck out of it. (I thought it was just a valve issue) This mishap happened after closing hours of ABB but I was fortunate enough to catch Tim on the phone and he suggested that I just lock it outside the shop and I would return the next morning to get my trike issue(s) underway. Well, it turned out that my tire tread was worn bare on all 3 tires, along with one blown out/ destroyed tube and a loose chain in need of replacement as well. These guys are all about safety and couldn't be more fair. Due to my uncommon chain, Tim had to order it and then in less than a week I was back on the Beltline. Riding my trike along with my pup in the back basket is seriously what I look forward to each and every day as long as my job & weather permits. I ride from Reynoldstown to Piedmont Dog Park and sometimes twice a day. And I always look forward to seeing any and/or all of the familiar faces from the bike shop once I make it to the Beltline via Irwin Street because if any of the guys are outside of the shop, I am guaranteed lots of waves and smiles. They always add a bit more joy to my ride and it is always much appreciated. . Yep, the little things give me the most joy. Oh! Atlanta Beltline Bicycle also holds random events like free bike check up days (usually on weekends) and just good times for all bike enthusiasts in general. Check them out if you know what's good for you. read more

Rented bikes this past weekend and customer service was A1!!! The only reason why I gave them a 4 instead of 5 was because their machines were down and they only took cash. There's street parking (Free) and a Parking lot a few seconds away, but that costs 5 bucks. We just parked near the other homes across the street and walked on by. You'll sign a waiver and they'll time stamp the waiver in order to charge you the correct amount depending on when you get back! I think on the sheet, it stated they had helmets and locks for a certain price. Can't remember which was free/costing money. But I do remember thinking it wasn't outrageous. Folks are really nice here. The guy took out sheets and another guy told us to choose any bikes we would like. Off we went!... for like 5 hours. I'm not sure if this is expensive or average, but I thought was a good price. 40 bucks for like 5 hours for 2 bikes. Not too shabby! Cheaper than I thought.
