I went to this shop seeking help to install some training wheels on my granddaughter's bike. The owners advised the axel was too short to install the training wheels. Instead of turning me away they showed my granddaughter how to learn to balance on the bike without the training wheels. He gave her a lesson right in the shop and I could see her face light up with enthusiasm to learn more. They were patient, professional and nice. Kris came to my house to fix my bike. My bike rack was destroyed in our move, and the mobile service was very convenient. I ride my bike a lot... the chain has come off every time I try to go uphill. Kris fixed it for a reasonable price (last time I needed repair, it cost much more). A few days on, we are going strong! Place: MACC One Love Century- Fairborn, GA. Kris was amazing at rendering all services I needed to get my bike back on the road. Where I take issue is with his wife, assistant or whomever she is -- which is why I bumped it down to 4 stars. When it was time for me to pay, I playfully looked at her screen to "see how much damage" I was doing as she was ringing up my products and service. She curtly said "Excuse me. You are welcome to stand over here (directing me to stand in front of her register) and I will give you your total as soon as I get it." Based on my own temperament, I chose to step completely back in a whole different direction as to exercise emotional intelligence. I can understand if, perhaps, I was crowding her space. It was her tonality then and even before when I was explaining my needs that I sensed a less-than-friendly aura. She may have noticed my energy and then was nice the whole time after that. Too late --your attitude has reared its ugly head. Kris is great --5 stars all day long. The assistant -- 2 stars + a customer service course is in order. read more

I visited this shop with my daughter a while back and went in for a new inner tubes for my tires, since my bike had sat in storage for a few years. The person working was very busy and there were a ton of people coming in and out of the shop. They helped me get air in the tires and did a mini check-up on my break pads, tightened a few screws. I needed new handlebar grip tape, and was very kind to replace it for me. I was able to go on a bike ride with my 5 year old for the first time ever, (and it was awesome!) and I am very thankful for the help and kindness. If I need anything in the future, I will be sure to come here. They did not have bike locks at the time, but said they were going to be getting more. I also purchased a cellphone holder for my handlebars, which ended up being very useful! read more

Easy breezy! I purchased a kid and adult bike pre-assembled from Target several months ago. The kid bike seemed to be fine but given the issues with the adult bike I wanted them both looked at. The adult bike was a mess, it was slow to ride and had a clicking sound when I peddled. I considered taking my bikes to a shop but it's a hassle to get the bikes in the car. I googled "mobile bike repair" and Aztec came up. I called on a Monday and was able to get service on a Friday. $65 for each bike + $25 trip charge. Friendly and efficient! I dropped in about 15 minutes to closing yesterday thinking I was just going to leave my bike for repairs. The young man there, Preston was able to get it done within 5 minutes, no hassle for great price and I was on my way! If only there wasn't a whole thunderstorm that evening I could of took my new and improved bike for a spin! I own two e-bikes one of which is quite heavy, so I requested a tune-up via mobile service. Everyone I've interacted with whether by phone, e-mail, and in-person during my appointment were very friendly and knowledgeable. During my in-person appointment, the technician (the owner) was nice and gave me tips and tricks about taking care of both bikes. He explained everything as he performed overall checks and tuning of each bike--and even shared different tidbits about biking history. This has been the best experience with bike/cycle professionals I've had over all the years of owning various big box store bikes. Okay....here it goes, I have an ole school ten speed bike which I looooooove s o much. I had become so discouraged with the ride of my bike. I went by Chris's shop a few times and bought some part. He is super nice, very professional. My bike wasn't making me happy, so, I decided to let the bike guru (Chris) do what he does best. I'm so happy that I went to Aztec to have my bike serviced. I decided to go take my new road bike to Aztec for a brake adjustment and a tire pressure check. I also needed pedals and I wanted my Bike speed monitor to be installed. Preston greeted me with a warm and welcoming smile! When I say Preston did everything Perfectly! I had several issues that accumulated on my road bike, and took a chance with this shop close to home. I wrongly diagnosed a creaking sound as a bad bottom bracket, and was ready to have them replace it and get a new crank too - they found the cause (elsewhere), saving me money, and recommended new chainrings/drivetrain, and now the bike is so smooth and quiet! They also un-stuck my seatpost that I gave up for a lost cause long ago. All the new parts are same/better quality, and they returned the worn parts too. I usually do my own bike repairs, but I am so glad I brought me bike to Aztec -They know their stuff! read more

The chain popped off my Townie bike just as I entered a trail at Arabia Mountain. My husband could not get it back on. We are not familiar with the area -- we're from Ohio -- and googled nearby repair shops. We drove to Aztec in Stone Mountain and Preston quickly got the chain back in place. I'm late to write my review but these guys are great. Almost a year ago, I took two bikes in to be serviced a week before a biking event that I had hoped to attend. I wasn't sure if I would be able to get my bikes serviced in time, but these guys assured me they would have my bikes ready for the event. They kept their word and even called to touch base with me during the week to give me an update on the status of my repairs. I felt their prices were fair too. The guys got the (heavy) bikes out of my van for me when I dropped them off and also loaded them into the back of my truck when I picked them up. They even gave me a small gift (walked it out to my car before I pulled out of the parking lot) to thank me for my business. The guys at Aztec Cycles are true gentlemen. I'm in the market for a bike and a friend of mine mentioned this shop so I finally came to check it out. Small bike shop that's clean & air conditioned. This is very helpful if u test ride on a hot day lol. Preston assisted me and he was extremely helpful. Answered all my questions and then some and he also took me on the test ride. He's very articulate in explaining the world of bike riding so I didn't have many questions. I left feeling very educated. They do bike repairs, tune ups, sell gear, equipment, etc. You can also rent bikes which is encouraged before purchasing. Its right by Stone Mountain trail. Ask them about other trails & events too. They know lot! My observation is that they appear to have a great relationship with their customers. There's more than enough parking at the rear of the shop. Well damn... I never thought I'd be leaving a review for a bike shop. I'm a 29 year old learning how to ride a bicycle for the first time. A month ago my boyfriend rented a bike with me and put me on the Beltline and I cried. Real grown-up-fear-of-mortality tears. So this week we went to Aztec Cycles and Preston changed my whole perception. He got me fitted to a bike my size. Went over the basics of starting and stopping and even how to self soothe when I get to a stressful part of a trail. He sent us on our way with directions to a path suited for my skill level, AND when my boyfriend and I failed to follow those directions we called him (because he had given us his number for such an occasion). So yeah... this is a five star bike shop. I'm even looking forward to getting on a bike again. Now I don't have to be a 30 year old who doesn't know how to ride a bike. Thanks Preston! read more
