My boyfriend and I love this place. Definitely an awesome and laid back atmosphere. All of the guys are very welcoming and nice. We love Austin and Eric! read more

Not coming back here anymore, sideburns weren't even, fade wasn't done right and it's a $2 surcharge to use your card.

I've gone to Electric Haven for the past few years now and George has been my dude I WILL NOT LET ANYONE ELSE TOUCH MY BEARD. I get a haircut and beard trim from George every time and let me tell you if you're not getting your haircut and your beard trimmed by George your girlfriend is probably being ufked by somebody who gets his haircut by George, seriously he is flawless and worth every penny. read more

This place is great. Been going here for 4+ years. Great for anyone, but particularly guys in their 20's - 40's looking for a modern clean cut. They shape up beards and nail the most popular styles perfectly. Always music or Netflix or YouTube on. Funny conversations and cool tattoo parlor vibe. Ask for Nathan, he's the shiz read more

This place actually understands what a fade is and how do it. Timmy and the white guy at the end are the best barbers that I have dealt with. The chubby guy seems to be very good as well but, I have never dealt with him. The wait is long but totally worth it. I have spent time driving from Scottsdale to Chandler trying to find a barber as good as the guys over there at Electric Haven. This place is super dope read more

Best barber shop in the valley! Chris gave me one of the best haircuts that I have ever had. I feel like I'm going to have to take the 6 hour drive to PHX every time I need a haircut! I will certainly be stopping by again the next time I am in the Phoenix area and in need of a trim. read more

Rick has the prettiest hands and the prettiest smile. He helps you feel at ease and to really enjoy the awkward task of having your hair trimmed. His music choice is also very important for your experience. He has a wide range of taste, from the bippidy boppidy sounds of EDM to the casual fling of early century jazz. He's a great guy with pretty hands, I can't stress that enough. The old barber that I went to didn't have pretty hands so I didn't like him touching my ears, that's why I found a new Barbare shop read more

This is my go to spot for a haircut and beard trim . All the barbers do a great job, and the warm lather neck shave is a great finishing step to complete the experience. Went there yesterday and they have me looking good for a wedding I'm going to this weekend. read more

Took my boyfriend here to get a haircut this morning And they guy totally screwed up the top. Duh into to comb over and pushed it way into the center when we've been trying to grow the length out for over two months now. I'm livid! Don't go here... what a waste of money. read more

By far my favorite barbershop in the metro Phoenix area. All the people there are very down to earth. Alex is a dope dude, great conversationalist, and has me constantly laughing my ass off. Also, he cuts and fades better than anyone I know, if that kind of thing matters to you at a barbershop. read more

George was very precise and spent a good amount of time consulting. He made sure that I was happy before I left and worked on his lunch break to help me out. George was precise and thorough and he took his time which much was appreciated. He is very nice guy. They put in the effort to make my haircut right when I wasn't happy. If you communicate properly then they'll will bend over backwards to help you out. The owners are great too! This was an updated review based on my most recent experience. I had some things I wanted fixed from my most recent haircut and they fitted me in as a walk in with no wait and took care of me. I will be going back! read more

Excellent service! Great haircut for a great price! One of the top barbershops in Tempe for sure.

Gotten my hair cut here 2 times. The first time was a year ago. I thought I'd give the place another shot, but unfortunately both of my experiences were pretty terrible. The guy at the front seemed cool and somewhat friendly. Colby (the barber) was incredibly unfriendly and acted like he wanted nothing to do with me. I tried starting conversation multiple times and he would give me a 1 or 2 word answer and end it there. He spent 10 minutes max total on my hair AND beard. I could have cut my own hair better. And after all that, he charged me $25($15 Yelp voucher plus an additional $10!! I can't speak for the other guys in the shop, but it is pretty awesome that you get a beer while you wait. The beer is the only redeeming quality about my experiences. Personally, I like going to barber shops to get a nice, unrushed haircut and have some great laughs and good conversation. That's not what either of my experiences were like. read more

Was not impressed. Management seemed to lack an understanding of basic customer service. I paid $12 for a yelp deal. The deal expired but the certificate retained it's $12 value. Now, I had offered to pay the difference since their prices had changed. Their haircuts are now $17,which isn't anything crazy priced, but doing the math the total would be $5. I have no qualms with paying the full price for a service. My issue is that prior to getting the cut, I showed the person my certificate and she said she would honor it. That wasn't the case and when it was said and done, she said that "well.. Then I'd have to pay that $12 if I let you use this". My issue isn't paying for the haircut, my issue is that $12 shouldn't be a cost for losing a customer. Now onto the haircut. I'm used to having barbers who would engage in conversation with me while cutting my hair. My particular barber did not, so I figured he was just really focused on the little details. After reviewing the haircut (wanted a slick back look but left with an undercut) I had a lot of strands and the line up looked rushed even though the barber did take his time. I would've been better off cutting my own hair and saving my time and money rather than deal with this. read more

My buddy gets his hair cut here and says it's pretty good so I decided to give it a go. I show up at 9:57 since they open at 10 and I have school at 11. Walk in, cool vibe, 4 barbers standing by their chairs. Heavy set dude asks if I have an appointment, uhhhhh appointment? And he says "uh oh." Its 10 Am at a barber shop, I'm the first one there on a Wednesday and I need an appointment? He says I can't get a hair cut for at least 30 minutes. Let me remind you there isn't a single soul here to get a hair cut or in the parking lot, just myself. I say wow really okay, is this a salon or a barber shop? I take my business elsewhere, forever. Guy runs his barber shop like its a Red Robin on a Friday night, good luck with that pal. read more

This is seriously such an awesome place. I didn't know what to expect, really, when I first popped in, but I left with a great haircut and a light buzz from the free beer they give you while you're getting snipped. I was thinking, "Man, this is.... this is like the manliest place the get your haircut: Tattoos, haircuts and beer and the option of getting a hot shave." The only thing missing was I didn't see an issue of Playboy anywhere, but there were some tattoo artwork cartoon boobs on the wall, so that's cool, I guess. read more

I was scheduled for a 12:30 appointment to get a cut from Tyler. I got there early to my appointment and ended up waiting a half hour after my scheduled time because he was talking so much and not cutting hair. I feel bad for the guy in the chair cause I don't think was focused on cutting his hair at all. read more

Great haircuts (w/ neck shave), Miller High Life on tap, and cheap. What more could you want?

True disappointment. When I read the reviews and heard the concept, I had to give it a shot. I went in for a simple 4 on the top, 2 on the side, fade in high. As I was telling the barber what I wanted, he was acting like he already knew! I knew he was going to mess it up from the beginning and yet still let him go at it. I kept trying to make convo because again I love the concept of a kick back tattoo and barber shop where u can converse. I will not come back here again, especially after how much i was charged for such a horribly high price. I immediately went somewhere else and got it fixed. read more

First visit. They fixed a Wack cut I received at place out of state. Wil most definitely go back. Great service.

My experience with Electric Haven has been a total mixed bag (the only reason I gave 2 instead of a single star). First thing to note: when asked, I specified that I wanted a high and tight fade with a hard part, leave some length on top. Simple, generic, pretty common for most barbers. First cut: Spot on. Awesome. Very happy. Exactly what I wanted. Etc. Second cut (same guy as the first cut): same thing, good to go. Third cut (different guy): Asked me what we were doing today, I told him just looking for a trim (was $10 the first time I got one with a much different hair style a few months ago, quick, easy). He proceeds to give a complete "hair cut". If I knew he was going to give me a full cut I would have told him what I specified the previous 2 times. So I walked out without a fade (just even length) and even though if you took a half a second to see that I had a hard part previously, he leaves it as is. Not very happy after this but less than pissed because I "know" there're others there that are good and it's fixable in the short term. Round 4: I don't know what happened but this is the anvil that broke the camel's back. Same guy as 1 and 2. Told him the same thing as before along with specifying (H&T fade, hard part). He 1 guards me all around, next to zero fade. Hard part isn't even all the way through (not sure you can even call it a hard part since there's no length to speak of on one side of it. It's pretty much a line in my head). Took me shorter than normal in the top back. When he gave me the mirror when he was done I knew there was zero that could be done to fix it other than father time it so I just bit my tongue. If I didn't know any better it was along the lines of a practical joke or he just didn't want me back as a customer. Either way, what's done is done. Paid, with tip (I tip well, always). Not sure what's going on with this place but I'm not going to roll the dice and hope I don't crap out again. There are other options. It's a shame too because it's a decent shop. They play good music and the place is decorated right. The staff in general just doesn't seem overly stoked to be there at all. That along with the uncertainty of the outcome I can't see myself darkening their door again. read more

Literally the o my place I'll get my hair cut. I've had some REAL BAD ONES in the past. But these gents always do an amazing job. Never had a single complaint. I've been coming here for 2 years and I refuse to go anywhere else. read more

This is my favorite barber shop in the east valley . Justin is a great barber and pays great attention to detail. The place is real down to earth and you can tell they care alot about the quality . one refreshing thing is they are not fake . they are genuine and not trying to be something they are not. To many places call them self a barber shop when they are not or to many barber shops try to get to fancy and dont pay enough attention to the hair cuts them self. This place doesnt try to shove product down your throat . and they even offer you a free miller high life with your hair cut. .. Go check this place out and ask for Justin ! read more

I got a top notch hair cut with Austin there at E.H. They recently made changes to the barber team. So now Austin and the current crew of barbers are spot on. I watched the other barbers too and their professionalism with other clients is great. You always find some whiner posts out there. But the E.H. barbers stay professional and don't need to dog on other shops to get clients. They stay positive, they're friendly, and do good work. Highly recommend Electric Haven! read more

The first 3 times were great. This last time was not good. Asked for a simple fade with a little trim off the top, but that's not what happened. The "fade" was even all over, and whoever the guy with the 3 nose rings is, he seemed pretty snooty unlike his usual demeanor. Maybe should have explained what I wanted in more detail. The haircut took less than 10 minutes, yet he took his sweet time on the customer prior. Not to mention, this was after waiting a long ass time and watching them all take a smoke break WHILE there were still customers inside, including me. Most professionals would wait for all the customers to leave before taking breaks. I'll probably give this place one more chance. read more

My sisters and I were visiting our dad for the weekend. We decided we wanted to get ink done. We were looking at different places on yelp and found this one. I originally wanted to go in and get work from Adam because I was looking at his color work online and it was absolutely breathtaking. Unfortunately, he was across seas and not in to do work. We decided to go in anyway and chat with the artist who was in since my sister wanted a fairly simple black and grey design and the shop minimum was reasonable. When we arrived Chango was in and she chatted with him and looked at his work. My sister really wanted me to get something as well. After looking at his work, I was confident in his ability so we decided to get matching ink. He did a great job and was very friendly. I love the work and it wasn't very painful (for either of us)....although that might vary person to person. I would definitely go back to him, especially when our younger sister is 18 so she can get her work done. They also do shaves and haircuts and give complimentary beer. If I was a man, I would definitely take advantage of those services. read more

I've been here a bunch of times before for George and was okay with it. Came back today around noon made an appointment with George at 1pm which was totally fine because I had a busy day and errands to run. I got here around 12:55pm and I walked out at 1:15pm because of the long 30min wait which would have made me late for work if I stayed for the likely 30-40mins haircut. The frustrating part was that it was postponed for so long because of a conversation he was having with his client about the Endgame movie while I was waiting for him. This place definitely needs a form of a secretary personnel because there's really no feel of organization, everyone seems to be going with the flow rather than following their bookings. I will say that some of the other barbers were asking me if I had an appointment or was just a walk in which was great but if only George had took the time to look around and realize he had a client waiting. Now I have to find a new barber Part Two: Came in today 9/27/19 and got a sick haircut from Tyler definitely redeemed the shop. When we finished told him it was a comp hair cut but George had no clue what I was talking about but still honored it. Coming back with Tyler soon. read more

Be prepared to wait. All of the the staff are knowledgeable and professional. Definitely geared towards men. (Not saying that they don't do women or children. Just saying that I have yet to see them getting their hair cut in here.) Something else to note, they still do straight razor shaves. read more

I drove by a couple months back and liked the idea of a tattoo parlor / barber shop. I'd been looking for a good old school barber for a while. Wade gets traditional hair cuts and can mold a great pomp. The tattoo artisits are all cool and creative blokes. They do solid custom work. I pop by the shop at least once a week to drink a high-life and shoot the shit with the crew. If you're looking for a clean, fun shop with a good vibe this is the place. read more

I got a tattoo last night from Adam and I couldn't be happier. The staff was friendly and helpful. The shop was clean and very organized. I went with my sister and boyfriend. I just started going to Electric Haven a few months ago and I definitely dig it. Very satisfied with the service and hair cuts I've been getting.
