Love this place! Been coming here for the last 5 years. Shout out to Paige Cole! She's been cutting my hair since I started going to Nico's. Book an appt with her! She's awesome! read more

Anthony was fantastic, great experience! Finally a competent hair cutting place in Mesa.

I've been going to Nico's Barber Shop for over four years now, and I couldn't be happier with the service. Every visit is always an amazing experience, you're always greeted happily and everyone there is always so helpful and welcoming. I've always been cut by Paige exclusively, but I've seen the others work first hand through the years and it's top notch. My barber, Paige is a phenomenal and delivers perfect results every time. Her attention to detail and consistency are unmatched. I highly recommend anyone looking for a reliable and skilled barber and/or a new barber shop in general to check out Nico's. I assure you they will exceed your expectations and you will become a regular just like myself! read more

I've driven by this place a million times and am glad they have a few locations throughout the East Valley. Easy to access locations, great barbers, and decently priced, too. read more

Ok I made sure to have two visits under my belt before I wrote a glowing review for Nico's and more importantly ARTHUR. Arthur is somewhere between old school and new school and where he is... is perfection. Like an old school barber, he still takes his time and perfects the look you want and he uses the new school styles and tools to get you there. To be honest it's rare to find someone who cares so much about the job they do. My beard has never looked better and it's all thanks to Arthur and Nico's barbershop. I will add this... This barbershop is amazing, the style and care and concern for their clients. I haven't had the pleasure of having anyone else cut my beard, but watching everyone go about their business while I waited for Arthur proved they only hire talented caring barbers. Nice job Nico's...You have my business and everyone else that compliments my sweet ass beard read more

At first it was a 1 star since they just left it too long. However when I went back a few days later they were very happy to "fix" without charge. I'll go again! read more

Been going to Nico's for a while now, and it never disappoints! Paige is the best, attentive to detail and courteous. Highly recommend this shop! read more

Love this place. Clean, excellent talent especially Luke (no he's not my father) and on top of that they give back through donations to feed my starving children! read more

Great Barber Shop with lots of talented fun Barbers/Stylists.... Locally owned by a Barber/Owner so he is in touch with the needs of their clients. I would tell you who my personal stylist is and how great she is, but I don't want you guys taking up all of Paige's calendar slots! read more

Went in today and got my haircut done by this guy Chris. Real nice guy, did EXACTLY what I asked for - and did it quick. I came in here on my lunch break and this guy was polite, worked well, and had great conversation. I was bummed I couldn't get in last Thursday when I walked in but was happy to come back after my trip since he was cool about everything. Definitely planning on coming back. Thanks for the great cut. read more

Honestly couldn't bring myself to tell the guy cutting my hair today but he completely messed up my hair , no scissors skills .. he buzzed the top instead, No fade skill / blend No Scissor over comb. Disappointed, I will def wear my hat for the concert this weekend !! This is a 10$ haircut at best , why they charge 30 is beyond me. Attached is pictures of the cut and a picture of what I asked for , from a past haircut. read more

My son and I have been going to Nico's for haircuts for about four years now. We have never had a bad haircut. Paige is our go to barber. She's does an excellent job and she's fun to talk with! read more

Nico's is the best! My son and I have been going here for a little over 2 years now. Paige and Jana always help us leave looking our best!

Paige is the greatest. Awesome haircuts with personality. Detailed work and a pleasure to be around.

So I've now been here 3 times. my barbers were fantastic. True attention to detail. Did not feel like other places where they rush you in to rush you out for the next person. Got a full haircut and shave, and definitely felt like I was at the Ritz. The place is very clean and orderly. Definitely will go back. read more

New to the neighborhood and saw the spot thought I would try it out, so I walked in and they explained that they were booked at the moment , which is understandable in this area for a good barber. They advised me to come back at 4 or 430 which I did, just to be turned away again. No one asked for my name or if I wanted an appointment, they simply said they were booked and looked at me like "have a nice day, you can go now" Called today and still no availability so I guess it's just not meant to be. read more

Would rank this place six stars if I could, environment is friendly as well as their staff. Anthony never disappoints when it comes to my biweekly haircuts, someone I always trust to get my hair done right. read more

Honestly for a $40 kids cut, I just wish it looked a little better. It seems different every time you get a cut, sadly this will be our last time. It is not blended whatsoever and I will probably need to go get it fixed somewhere. read more

Amazing! We love Jen. Super cool upbeat vibe. Cuts my little boys hair perfect every time :) I guess mines ok too ;) read more

There's 5 signs on the street to come in and get a haircut I walk in and then it's like go and get an appointment online we are all booked up. Sounds good then take the signs off your street for people to walk in. 100s it barbers in Az I am sure I will find a place that will take a walk in... Thanks read more

Originally from California and was sketchy about trying out new barbers, but I'm so glad I found nicos! Every barber here is great at what they do, but Kris is my go to guy! I love the appointment set up there's little to no wait if you have an appointment which is the exact opposite of California barbers where even with an appointment you're waiting an hour or more. Definitely recommend this spot. read more

Super genuine young man that is the owner. He graciously took me without an appointment for a quick haircut. Being from out of town, I really just picked this place last week due to location and prior reviews. Paid about what I expected and got a good cut, including hot neck shave. Thank you and best wishes to him and his business. read more

Very professional I highly recommend them for your hairstyle and beard styling needs. Not only will you receive the best in fresh & trending hairstyles you will receive the most friendly service from all the stylist. They make you feel welcomed and greet you with a smile right when your hair walks through the door, they really care about their clientele, customer service, and your hair! The big plus is... they give back to the community and it shines through the service they give. Their goal is that you leave the door a little more inspired and confident then you did when you walked through it and you do! read more

I started coming to Nico's about 2 years ago when I moved out here and I got really lucky on my first spot and my first barber that I got. Haircuts can be anxiety ridden and uncomfortable and I've never fully gotten comfortable with a barber before. Then here is Arthur! He's great, his conversations are great, his haircuts are great. It's always a pleasure seeing him and getting my haircut and all of the girls up front are usually really nice too. Good energy, good people, good place. Booking an appointment is usual super easy too! read more

Great Barber shop, nice, spacious and clean! Seriously ignore the 1star reviews, they basically got mad that the shop was busy, like what???? If you've ever been to a legit barbershop you know the wait is worth it if they end up busy like that (busy means GOOD). Nico's is QUALITY. If you want a 5 minute haircut go to great clips or sports clips around the corner. Anyways, I walked in and was greeted immediately. I didn't have an appointment and he explained to me how they work so next time I could do it if I wanted. So then they just put me with the very next person who could take me, and it only took 10 minutes. I got Terry! He is the guy with the killer beard and he got me the best skin fade I have ever had and I think I've been to every barbershop in Mesa, literally. At the beginning, I told him i wanted a mid skin fade on the sides and back but later he would ask more thorough questions on specific things which helped get me the perfect cut. I will be going to him from now on and 100% recommend him to anyone who ends up going here. 5 stars to the staff and environment! Quality barbers!!! read more

It's clean and Covid conscious. The people are great and my Barber/stylist Arthur is amazing. I haven't been to the others but after showing up early and watching customers leave, they have to be on par because I haven't seen a bad haircut walk out that door. If you want a new haircut/style but don't know WHAT you want, head down to Nico's. They have great taste and can help you find what feels good (because you will know you look good). read more

I really enjoyed my experience here. Candice was my barber and was very friendly. I will visit her again. Come here for your barbershop needs! read more

Nico's was a cool, chill spot. Nice and and clean, plenty to keep you entertained if you need to wait. Jana did a fantastic job with my hair, I'll definitely be back. Thanks, Nico's. read more

I had my first cut with Jen yesterday and I'm thoroughly impressed! Having moved from Vegas where I saw the same stylist for years, I was nervous not knowing how to articulate what I want. She's all about communication and making sure that she understands the look you're going for. If there are things you are unsure of, you can feel confident that she will use her artistic experience to give you a great look. She's also a super cool chick that made me feel like I knew her for years. I will definitely be a recurring client of hers! read more

I don't think I can write enough about how amazing Ragiv is here. He makes my 13 year old so happy about how his hair looks. The shop is absolutely beautiful and spotless. The staff is top notch. Ragiv goes over everything first and makes sure Mom or Dad is ok with it, I love it!!! He's welcoming. He also does a bad ass job on my spouse's hair as well. I definitely recommend making a appt. here and checking him out. Top notch ‍ place read more

Was out in AZ for The Weekend and stopped at this barber shop before going back to Cali. I got my hair cut faded by Arthur, he knows what he's doing and did an amazing job. Definitely will be back. read more

Took my 16 year old brother here to get a trim and style, the shop is amazing and very cool. They have a pinball table and a packman/ multi game table. My 3 year old was entertained! They have comfortable seating and cool music. My brother who was nervous left very happy! The cut was great and he felt pampered. I will definitely be returning with my husband and son in the future, the staff was also very friendly. read more

Was looking for a new stylist as the last three I saw messed up my hair. Saw the reviews on Jana at Nico's and let me tell you what a pleasant experience and the greatest hair cut ever. I highly recommend her and the laid back atmosphere at Nico's where everything is accommodating and the atmosphere is friendly. read more

Absolutely love the new space! I have been a fan of Nico's for over a year and I absolutely love this new location. It feels very spacious and well lit. As soon as you walk in you are greeted with joy and enthusiasm. Everyone there made sure I was taken care of. All of the seating is very comfortable and makes waiting for your appointment seem like no time at all. Jen ALWAYS does a fantastic job of making my hairy face look good. It is always a pleasure to come here. "TREAT YO SELF" and go get your face hair or head hair taken care of in style and comfort. read more

For me, finding a good barber has been like finding a good mechanic: almost impossible. I've cut my hair and my sons hair for the past seven years. He wanted a cut above my grade so we tried these folks. These folks are top notch. I didn't feel like we were being rushed along resulting in a crappy cut. Dylan took the time to make it perfect. We will both be back very soon. read more

Love this place, ignore the negative reviews the appointment schedule is very nice and avoids the typical long wait time in barber shops. Great barbers all around, great owner and a place with a sense of purpose and service. read more

Such an awesome experience! We walked in (next time we will be sure to make an appointment). Rajiv cut our 13 month old and Terry cut my husbands - they were both AMAZING. Nico’s Barber Shop- Mesa - Front Area - Barbers Near Me - Mesa, Arizona

My usual barber at another shop wasn't in, and I wanted to get a haircut before going out of town from a place with good reviews. I always am very hesitant to let someone new touch my hair. I asked for a high skin fade, hoping to get a good haircut that I would feel confident with. However, the barber that cut my hair didn't seem to have an appropriate level of mastery with how to do a skin fade. The fade itself is fair, but not high by any means, as was requested. There's plenty of hair below the fade instead of the cut fully approaching the "skin" part of the fade. The line up on my forehead is not as crisp as it could be. It felt like the barber maybe was lazy, because I had to point out a patch of my hair that was a little thicker than the rest and ask for the barber to go over it a little more with the clippers rather than leaving it uneven. I'd give this haircut a 3/5. The shop itself was nice and all, but I likely would not allow that specific barber to cut my hair in the future. read more

Came right around 1pm on a Saturday with my wife so my Son can get a cut. As soon as we walked in, they asked if we had a appointment. Well I read on yelp " Walk Ins Welcomed " lady was like wee are super busy today ( 3 inside the shop ) and you need an appointment. Soonest I can do is 3pm or a different day. Yup. We took our money somewhere else. read more

I've gone to Nico's twice now and Arthur has cut my hair both times. He's brilliant, he takes passion in his work and will do whatever you'd like or give you suggestions if you ask. Everyone is very respectful and incredibly nice. This will certainly be my regular barber without a doubt. read more
