Stopped by today for dinner, and it did not disappoint. TikTok was right about this one :) The place itself is small but has a lot of character, with all the vintage signage and bright orange walls. The service was also on point very efficient and kind. We, of course, had to order drinks. I got Kenney's Sorrel, and it was perfection, not overly sweet, very natural tasting, and the boba was like I was eating little pieces of mango. We of course had to get the chicken wings and tostones. Fire! The accompanying sauce was delicious. The fried chicken lo mein was also great - the perfect comfort meal. I would definitely recommend this place. Prices are also very reasonable. They also seem to really be known for their drinks, and I can see why.

I was walking in the area and came in for the chinola slushee with mango jelly. As I was waiting (quite some time) I saw someone sitting alone and asked if I could join. They were friendly and I ordered the peanut noodles because that's what they ordered. It was good. At 8.71 each, it wasn't so bad as a first time/experience. There were flies in there too. It was small. I'm just glad that there wasn't a line down the block.

I think the food was ok. The restaurant has a nice intimate vibe but the wait can be long if there are no tables available. The dishes feel like you can get them for cheaper/better at your local Chinese spot.

The drink sizes drew me to Eldridge Street Store. Solid price for the size, but the drinks themselves are hit or miss.

We got a little of everything, including cocktails. The peashooter greens were super flavorful. Everything was executed well. The sweet and sour pork was the best I've ever had. The server was attentive, but also really busy. It took quite awhile to get drinks. That's my only complaint. This place has some hype, but it's pretty damn good. I can see why.

The food was great! This is a "see and be seen" type of place. The nightclub-like, velvet rope-type atmosphere and service, however, are a turn-off for us. It is a very loud place, but we were lucky enough to get the most quiet seating, which is not an intimate quiet, but we could talk. (We know we had the quietest spot as Lori walked around the whole place.) The service was ok. It took some time to get water and cocktails, but they eventually arrived, and then food came out quickly. Lori's favorites were the two appetizers. I enjoyed everything equally. Here's what we had - Oxtail Dumplings - sweet soy, green apple, jalapeño. These were rich, melt-in-your-mouth savory oxtail with sweet-savory soy, crisp green apple freshness, and a mild jalapeño kick. General Tso's Dumplings - chicken, hot & sour broth. These were good, but I would have liked more spice. Lori said they were spicy enough. Lobster Mapo Tofu - minced beef, lobster, Sichuan chili sauce. They did a good job on this one. I was pleasantly surprised to find a hint of actual Sichuan peppercorns, but then again, this is NYC. Duck Fried Rice - crispy rice & scallion. The rice had some really good crispy bits, and chewy pieces for great texture. The duck was surprisingly shredded, and delicious. I wish there was a little more of it.
