    Fish Tacos

El Yaquesito, located at the corner of Sunset Rd. and Green Valley Parkway, is a spot for authentic Sonoran-Mexican flavors. The ingredients were fresh and every bite is packed with flavor. We stopped by after the lunch rush and found a more relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. The two employees on duty were attentive and quick to help. We went with the fish tacos, which were cooked to perfection. If you're craving a taste of Sonora, El Yaquesito is worth a visit!!!

Former location of Tu Sabor Cafe, and perhaps same owners (and definitely same Wi-Fi)
    Chris V.

I'm not quite sure why I'm thinking of Bieber right now. El Yaquesito is a Mexican restaurant, or specifically Sonoran specialists. They're part of a Latin-American food renaissance in this Henderson plaza anchored by La Bonita, and were themselves reborn from the proverbial ashes of the former location of Tu Sabor Cafe (and possibly by the same owners considering that the Wi-Fi is still active - I guess crepes weren't the way to go). Inside, the layout is the same as Tu Sabor Cafe and the seating capacity remains reasonable for a smaller spot. Ordering is also counter-service, as is pickup of said order. The service is friendly enough, although I had to rely on my high school Spanish skills to overcome a moderate language barrier at times when I had questions (mostly about the menu) and requests (mostly for a cup of water). Their Taco Pastor ($2.99), aka marinated pork, is a pretty tasty rendition for something not coming off a vertical rotisserie. The pork is flavorful and not dry. You can get pineapple diced to a similar size as the pork too, and it adds the right flavor without being overwhelming. I also enjoyed playing around with their six salsa served in small squeeze bottles. There's a tomato salsa already on the taco, but all the ones which I added on were delicious. Oh, and radish and cucumber slices come on the plate too. The Taco Lengua ($3.99), which is beef tongue, was plated alongside the Taco Pastor. Its protein portion is maybe a little smaller than some spots, but it is delicious and super tender. The default salsa would have sufficed on this one. The tortillas did seem to get a little wet, but at least they gave me a fork on this plate. Taco Combinado w/ Aleta ($6.99): a massive pile of cubed and cooked tuna, shrimp, and manta. The proteins were all cooked nicely, including the cartilaginous piece presumably coming from a manta. There was so much protein that it was a bit unwieldly, so the aforementioned fork had more utility. I had to try a Sonoran dog, and after an employee showed me the detailed handheld menu, I got a Chile-Dogo Quesojumbo ($6.99). I can't recall all of the ingredients, but there was cream cheese and I believe some ham in addition to a Regular dogo. The ingredients were all generous and flavorful, but I couldn't get past that they use a non-beef frank, most likely turkey. I suppose the prices compared to the typical hot dog meta should've clued me in, but I was disappointed. I am willing to pay more for and enjoy some beef dogs, please and thank you. By the way, the employee did upsell me on some fries (+$1.00) with the dogo. The fries were greasier and some of the thicker pieces were perhaps a bit greener than expected, but they were generally crispy enough and soft inside. You might as well include the fries when offered since it's decent value for the small portion, but I'm not sure whether they come with anything other than the turkey dogs. El Yaquesito is a good casual taqueria, which Henderson can't have too many of. I'll come back to try other proteins and menu sections (such as burritos and quesadillas). I would just skip the dogos unless you are inexplicably a big fan of turkey-based sausage.

This place is sooo good! The flavors were reminding me of the tacos in Mexico The carne asada was cooked perfectly and the fish taco was even better Really clean inside as well :) will definitely be returning

Small little spot! Not close to the strip but worth the drive! I will definitely go back again! The restaurant looks clean new! And love the drawings on the wall! Aguachile: wasn't the best but good enough to take my craving away! Better than anything in Dallas !! CAHUAMANTA: was super good!! Highly recommend!!! Taco de pescado: good ! Not as good as Ensenada Baja tacos but the flavor was good! Taco Gobernador: was really good- Taco de rib-eye : way to dry! Compared to all the food we tasted here this was the worst! Won't have this again! I can't wait to go again! I love this little spot!!

DELISH DELISH DELISH!!! Clean and flavorful. Showing a pic after I already ate the asada. They served with grilled onions too. Omgosh guys try try try! Service was fast and friendly. Clean and modern little home in the wall.

This is my 3rd time coming to this restaurant and first time was great I ordered the same chile dogo with fries and some tacos they were really good the second time I ordered the chile dogo without fries because they turn off the fryer way earlier than the time closing, first they told me they didn't have more fries, so I ordered shrimp taco so that's when they told me they actually turned off the fryer and then I got asada taco, pastor taco again, they flavor in everything was good as the first time I went. But this time, the chile dogo came without chile, the bread was really soggy the bacon was literally burned and I ordered it with fries... you can count how many fries they put.. really disappointed for this place because I really liked it. The service is okay the cashier is really nice. And the place by itself looks really clean and nice, the bathrooms are really clean too. Hopefully they get better with the food and the sizes.

Local deliciousness and authenticity. Don't judge the location because the food is incredible!

Wow! I really like the Chille Dogo. A hot dog with a Chille Relleno. A bit messy to eat. Not recommended prior to meetings it will put you to sleep. Best eaten when it's fresh like the fish taco since the batter gets soggy.

I went here in the morning around 9 so it was pretty empty. The decor was stylish and cool, and the had loud (Mexican?) music playing. The cashier was helpful and able to answer my questions about the ingredients of various dishes. I ended up ordering the ribeye burrito without rice and with added sour cream and hot sauce as well as a pulpo (octopus) taco, all 'to go'. The taco was pretty good, although I would have like the outside of the pieces of octopus seared or crisped more. Each bite had a soft, almost slimy texture. The ribeye burrito was very good. They cut it in half (and it came with some fried jalapeños and lime). I used their red hot sauce with it. They have green sauce, red sauce, and a darker red sauce with a 'roasted' flavor. The darker sauce is what I used, and it's hot and delicious. The other red sauce is good as well, but definitely HOT. I did not try the green. I've included pics of their menu, but what I paid for the ribeye burrito was less than what their menu said. I'd go back and try some other things for sure!

We tried them out for dinner on a Wednesday evening. In general it's an okay place to try out some interesting, pretty good tasting and reasonably priced "Sonoran" style food. The restaurant itself is nice feeling, mostly clean and comfortable. The service is friendly enough, but their English doesn't seem so great. So ordering can be a little bit difficult if you don't speak Spanish. There also many items in Spanish on their wall menu with no English translation around, so that's a little inconvenient. Their online ordering has some translations though, so that may be useful. Once we received our food there was no longer any interactions with the staff. Except for when I asked for a knife and was told they had none. Considering we were the only diners in the place, it would've been easy to do a single check to see if everything was okay. But I guess they aren't interested. Overall, the food seems fairly tasty, but the rest of the experience is lacking. Probably worth trying out to see if you enjoy the food enough to tolerate the lackadaisical service.

This is a hidden gem! I went shopping at La Bonita and I could smell the deliciousness when someone opened the door. And u could also hear la musics so I decided to instead going home with my groceries to cook, I'm going to this place out first. I enjoy many regional foods of Mexico. But I haven't tried Sonoran style, so now is the time. The Tacqui taco is enormous! It starts with a flower tortilla, then layered with melted cheese, a full pepper, finely shredded cabbage, red onion, cilantro tomatoes and cones sides of avocado sauce and a hot red salsa, garnished with limes, radishes and cucumbers. For me, that was a complete meal. Packed with flavor in every bite. It was clean, well decorated and very busy.

The food is amazing! Shrimp, fish tacos have great flavors. Oysters shooters are 10/10.

We stopped in for a quick bite while waiting for our laundry next door. What a find! We got a carne asada burrito and three carne asada tacos. The tortilla on the burritos was homemade, the asada was great quality and super flavorful. The salsas were packed with flavor and the perfect amount of heat. The tacos were equally delicious. The restaurant was new and clean. Love the modern decor. And the value was great! Both of us ate for just $20. The only thing is it's almost easy to miss it because it's slightly hidden next to the laundromat. So if you're shopping at La Bonita or doing your laundry at Oasis Laundromat, treat yourself to GREAT food! We are already planning to come back with our friends!

The regular breakfast burrito comes with potatoes, eggs, meat of your choice, beans, pico de gallo, and cheese. So all he was doing is telling her his choice of meat was ham and to add extra cheese.
