Hubby and I shared the crème brûlée pancake and an espresso smoothie, and both were delicious! The pancake was incredibly fluffy and airy, with that light, sponge-like texture you want from a good Japanese soufflé pancake. I also really liked that the sauces weren't overwhelmingly sweet, so the dessert didn't feel heavy or sugary. The espresso smoothie was another pleasant surprise--creamy, flavorful, and with a nice coffee kick that paired perfectly with the pancake. Overall, a really satisfying way to finish the night. If you're already in the area for dinner at Yum Long, definitely save some room for dessert!!!!

It took them almost half an hour to prepare the dish, which they notified us when we were ordering. The dish came with a towering soft pancake, half of an actual mango, some whipped cream, mango cream and a scoop of mango ice cream, all for a price of $18. I loved this dish so much, it's a dream dish for any mango lover. Staff members were friendly at the store. Despite not being busy, I saw multiple of them in the store, some working in the kitchen and others taking care of customers in dining area. Overall a really good place to try out some world class soufflé pancakes, with delicious sides.

Walking up to the door a sign reads "now open for dinner". That's a change as they used to close in the afternoon. And when I walked in the place had been redecorated. Not bad, just different. Even the old menu was gone and replaced with something more modern. Not bad, just not the same. The staff were different, the cook and counter staff. I didn't like the tripe used and the bowl looks big it is not and it is also not the serving size of the past and the tripe is not the best. The soup was just okay and a little on the salty side. The service was good and the reason for the two stars, but I take away 3 for the food. In all fairness I typically do not rate a 5 as that is reserved for amazing and most places can be good but rarely amazing. So the TM, at best would have a received a 4 Star review had the food been on point. I am sure some people will love the food, I'm just saying we all have different preferences of taste and as you come to know me and sync with my preferences, my reviews will make sense and maybe be in sync with yours. I really love old school spots like this. There's also a good amount of parking around on the street. It's an odd shaped parking lot so I just parked on the street to avoid a possible awkward entrance/ exit.
