First things first - this restaurant is part of the Made in Belfast group of restaurants to the decor etc is quirky where very little matches. The restaurant is brighter than i remember and the gross chip board seems to have been threw into a chipper. This was a relief. The waitress was really friendly and full of great chat. From the menu I ordered the Mousetrap burger. This meal came with onion rings and skinny fries on the side as standard. This was a winner for me, as the restaurant universe of late has been presenting sides as an optional offering rather than an inclusive wonder. So bravo to strip joint for throwing in 2 sides. The ambiance is relaxed and the service was great. I would recommend giving this place a visit. Men bring your wives, there is something for everyone

This suited us as we were after a quick lunch. I'm currently trying to start a wee health kick so I decided against burgers or steaks. I ended up going for a crab pot. It came out beautifully presented (see picture) with a lovely cucumber and lemon garnish and a side of local wheaten bread. I also went for a filter coffee that was delivered within minutes of ordering. I really enjoyed my visit, although I'd love to go back and sample the service and atmosphere on a busier evening. The decor has been put together really well, the long mirror gives a spacious feel to a small intimate restaurant. Definitely would recommend a visit, the menu is large so you'll find something you like. This is more of a 3.5 than a 4 but I'm generous!

I hate it when restaurants do this, I can understand it for Christmas party bookings, but dislike when deposits are requested throughout the year. It would prevent me from returning with a large party in future. It's just a hassle trying to collect money from people you won't necessarily be seeing before an evening out. Alternatively one person has to cover the deposit before the meal, which is unfair and leaves them out of pocket until the night out. Other than this we had a good overall experience. Waiting staff were excellent and the menu is huge with a vast selection of dishes, even plenty of veggie options - burgers, pizzas, pastas etc. I ordered vegetarian fajitas which were served with a side of fries, 3 fajita pancakes, a large sizzling plate of mixed veg (mushrooms, peppers, onions, tomatoes) plus guacamole, sour cream and salsa. The guacamole and salsa weren't fresh, instead they seemed quite processed. But it was good food - not great - but filling, tasty and reasonable for the price. Our whole party enjoyed their meals. We also ordered dessert and the Banoffee Pie was absolutely gorgeous- though I did have dessert envy when I saw the Nutella Dough Balls some of the others ordered! Ginger, gin, beer and plenty of wine flowed. In total two courses, drinks and tips cost approximately £35 per person. A good night was had by all. This is a nice, casual, relaxed restaurant and I would return - but not with a large party as I dislike the insistence on a deposit and enforced service charge. Whilst I recognise the reasoning for these charges and appreciate they are becoming common in a lot of restaurants, I will primarily take my custom to establishments who don't insist on a deposit. A good, solid 3.5 stars from me...

Someone recommended this place and it was super close to where we were staying. The waitress was very welcoming. It was a Wednesday night and they had a special going on- for £15 you get an appetizer and entree which is served with chips and side salad. I chose the bang bang chicken for starter. It was sooo good! I ordered the 10 oz sirloin as my main course. The steak was cooked perfectly and served with a black pepper dipping sauce that made the steak even better. We ordered a few drinks which were all good. I had the frozen passion fruit margarita- could have been more flavorful but still drinkable. Overall good atmosphere and would go back.

The room was lovely and the shower was great but my back and shoulders were killing me and I was very tired the next day. I decided to speak with someone at the front desk for a different room since the bed was not comfortable to sleep another night in. I was informed that all the mattresses in the hotel are the same brand and from the same company. After a few mins we were taken from the new side of the hotel to old hotel side to try out a different room. The old hotel side looks very different but still nice. We walked in and the first thing we notice is the room is huge and came with a huge bed. Ohh and of course I lay on the bed and ahhhhhh in heaven with a comfy mattress, so I said "Yeah, I'll take this one". I couldn't have been any happier. We returned to the front desk, were given our new key cards and off we were to pack up & move over. They did offer to move everything for us but we decided we can do it ourselves. I had a wonderful night's sleep and just wish I had this room on our first night. Now I know for when returning to Belfast and needing a hotel, I'll just request a room in the old side. Maybe just request the same room again since it was so perfect. Oh the bathroom was nice and big and there was plenty of closet space as well. They do offer breakfast for 10 pounds per person, which isn't bad, and they have a good selection.

The price The is one of my favourite places for a long lunch when I have the time to sit in somewhere instead of grabbing a sandwich. Being a creature of habit I get the chicken penne pasta, but if you are more adventurous than me the jerk chicken wrap or steak ciabatta are front runners for most people. Whilst the lunch menu provides smaller options at a very decent price, the extensive dinner menu has everything you could want from a steak house. Big portions, cooked to your taste - perfect. My friends stayed here previously and are still raving about how nice it is, I will be recommending for any visitors I have (if they fancy something posher than my sofa). Come on guys - don't let this place die.

My 21st birthday was imminent, and I required an upmarket, fashionably chic eatery for myself and 9 friends. An easy task you may think, but slightly more daunting than I had initially realised. I didn't want an expensive restaurant, nor did I want a McDonald's-esque diner. It had to be accessible, with the likelihood of entertainment, as well as somewhere just a bit different. Easy woman to please, eh? Having heard rave reviews, I settled on Ten Square's Grill Room, and headed out with the girlies for what was to be a brilliant night out. The food was fabulous, the waitress was the most wonderful server I have ever had, their was a DJ playing from 10pm to midnight, and surroundings were just exquisite. Not one word of complaint from me or my friends what-so-ever. The bar is situated right beside the grill room, and our table was smack bang in the middle of the two, which worked excellently for my friends and I, enabling us to boogie on down til the early hours. This may not suit some people, but for me, it was perfect. I could not have asked for a better 21st birthday do.

Other than that the food did not meet what I would have expected from a famous chefs restaurant. The portions where a decent size. I thought thy many have been super tiny. I found the food quite bland. The food highlight was my Canonbear starter and the bacon and cabbage side. My gnocchi main did not have a real depth of flavour. If you want gnocchi ,Horatio Todds is the place. So I was expecting something that would be better than that as this is a famous chefs place. The beetroot starter also lacked flavour. Have had it other places where it had way more taste. The menu has a decent range. Nice To see Sharon's platters on it and also nibbles for the table. Food took ages to be served. We had been there 2 hours and had just finished our mains. Did not get time for dessert as we had to be somewhere. The place wasn't even busy. The price was ok. But would have expected more flavour for what you are paying. I would not be back here. There is way too much eating establishment choice in East Belfast to waste money and taste buds in here.
