This was an unexpected find in the mall neighborhood near the Courtyard hotel that we were staying at. While this restaurant has the feel of a carefully groomed chain style location with somewhat generic decor, the food is a solid choice. The guacamole was quite flavorful and a good item to accompany the chips. Portion sizes for the entrees are quite large and served piping hot from the kitchen. I enjoyed the shrimp tacos I ordered, although I will say I was not impressed by the Spanish rice, which was bland and a bit dried out. Usually the rice is one of the dishes you can rely on but it was disappointing here. Overall though, the food was tasty and service attentive. Recommended.

Visited this restaurant with family over the summer, and really enjoyed it! The restaurant itself is decorated nicely, clean, and played some great Spanish music. The staff was attentive and accommodating to our eight person party with two young children. Considering this is a Mexican restaurant located in a mall, the food was yummy and affordable with large portions. I appreciated that they had vegetarian options on the menu, as well. Would definitely return to this spot in the future.

El Toro Bravo takes the best parts of a local Mexican American restaurant, gets rid of them, and then tries to pass itself off as upscale. While the wall mural in the dining area is unique, the sparkler towers and drum line of musicians loudly bashing their drums and blowing their whistles for patrons celebrating birthdays reminds me more of spring breaks in Cancun when I was younger than what it is: a strip mall Mexican restaurant on the outskirts of a mini-metropolitan area. The food was fine -- a plate of rice with some semi-sautéed vegetables and cheese sauce passed the edible test. The other person in our party ordered a chimichanga and mentioned it was "good". Thank god for free chips and salsa though! In all, I found the entire experience to try too hard while under delivering on the things it should be best at.

Trending yummy food for a beautiful Sunday funday loving the views and food today with great service too

Loved the vibes in here and murals on the wall were really cool! We came in for a Sunday lunch and they had the Colts game playing loudly, which kind of gave it a sports bar vibe instead of a Mexican restaurant, but it was still a fun atmosphere. We started with salsa, guacamole, and queso and they were all great, but the queso was a little runny. The menu is so extensive and they have so many seafood options! I had a hard time picking what I wanted but I went with the Happy Pollo and I enjoyed it. Came with rice and beans and the chicken was topped with mushrooms, onions, and cheese. The service was great too, the food came out pretty fast. This restaurant didn't necessarily blow me away as it was kinda like any other Mexican restaurant but everything was great and it's a nice option if you're in the west side of Indy!

Wait time, Saturday night 20 min. Lots of parking nearby! Took a looooooong time to get our food:( then when it finally did it was like it had been sitting for awhile as it was cold and mine was made wrong, they did remake it but so quickly as the cheese was not melted. I informed the mgr who promptly remade a 3rd time, and it tasted fine. Not impressed by the drink sizes, you have a 12oz ranges from minimum of $15 or a small pitcher ( and it DEFINITELY was NOT a normal pitcher by any means) ranges from $35-50 dollars and it's only 2 small drinks each. The flairs are nice touch as well as the dry ice effect, but I would prefer a larger cup size!!! The only offer frozen drinks in the patron bottles which was a disappointment I prefer regular as the drinks are not watered down. The chips were just ok, some tasted old. The small cheese was also ok. Not worth $5. Very expensive place for a Mexican restaurant. Bathrooms were clean and beautiful decorated, the doors were pretty . I did however LOVE the bobble head guys & the DJ! The atmosphere was definitely fun and I can see how a group would have a great time!!!

    This the BOSS burrito! Fantastic!

We went to this restaurant on a Wed night because I had always wanted to go. The waiter was kind and gave us a couple of recommendations. I chose the BOSS BURRITO. Whew! When I say delicious....I mean DELICIOUS! This was one of the best BURRITOS I have ever had! All I can say is, you've got to try it! The ambiance was nice in the restaurant. It was clean and semi-crowded. As far as the price, I'd say it was about average. I would recommend it!

We went for an early lunch so it wasn't crowded at all. Very good service, clean and cute inside. The food was very good!!

STOP WHAT YOU'RE DOING AND GO HERE FOR LUNCH IMMEDIATELY! Y'all the service, food and drinks were unmatched. Friendly, knowledgeable, bilingual, accommodating bartender and server. Food came fast and piping hot. Drink was entertaining to be made with the bubbly dry ice show and tasted delicious and not too sweet at all. I'll be back! I had the Birrias Tacos and the Cantarito drink. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I'm so happy we now have a local El Toro now! Although I did love the Stacked Pickle, this is a solid replacement. We came in for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Our server was super friendly, and bilingual! Half of our party primarily spoke Spanish, so that was awesome. I had the strawberry margarita. It's really neat because this place gives you dry ice, so it's all bubbly and looks like a margarita hot tub:) very delicious and was not weak! For my entree, I had the el mar enchiladas, which came with one tilapia, one crab, and one shrimp, covered with queso cheese. It's served with rice, beans, and a guacamole salad. I was super impressed with this!! They all had tons of meat in them, and it was very yummy. Although I want to branch out and try new things when we return, I think this will be my go to dish. Highly recommend trying! We will be regulars from here on out.

We checked out el toro for appetizers and drinks last night. It was excellent! That atmosphere was high energy and fun. They had fun lights that came on and music when someone ordered a special margarita flight. The wait staff was busy and obviously new which is to be expected since they didn't open all that long ago. I spoke with the general manager when I arrived and he was very nice and welcomed us to to the experience. We got queso fundido which was good and came out sizzling. Their quac is amazing! We got a couple of fun margaritas. My wife's had dry ice in it which always makes drinks look cool. I highly recommend El Toto.

Great food, more of a traditional Mexican taste. Drinks are pricey and the dry ice makes them small

Uniquely impressive interior with full screen movie running (captioned) in this newly opened…read morerestaurant that kept the flavor of its former theatre. Our server Emily was cheerful and informative. A parking garage across the street served us well for dining at this restaurant and attending an event at Hendricks Live across the street. The shrimp cocktail appetizer featured fresh large shrimp with dollops of horseradish on the plate and a nice sauce. I enjoyed the steak frites entree, a generous portion of steak perfectly cooked, served with a delicious broccolini and tasty fries. My sister ordered the chicken marsala and noted that she would have liked more sauce, and the truffle potatoes were delicious. My brother said his huge pork chop was perfect, and my sister in-law recommended the sirloin steak. We had reservations and were seated at a high top table, which is not my preferred way to dine but the restaurant was full so we didn't ask to be moved. We had a bit of a wait for our entrees and chalked that up to it being Saturday night. There is a separate bar area and rooftop dining with igloos available.

Eh, fell a bit short for me…read more The ambiance and vibes are great! Service was great as well!! The food is where it fell short for me. I drove an hour to visit this place and saw lots of good reviews. I started off with a lemon drop and a snack short rib eggroll. The lemon drop was watery and just did not hit like I would have hoped (I'm a lemon drop girly). They do use Titos as their well so that was good. The egg roll was dry- you definitely need to dip in the wasabi aioli to make it palatable. Next up were the buffalo chicken hush puppies. I like the idea here. The inside was moist and flavorful and the outside was kind of dry and drizzled with what I think was ranch. They were ok. I have a Ceaser salad add chicken and "fried" Brussels sprouts. The salad was suppose to come the onions , there were none so the waitress brought me some. The salad was mid at best and the chicken was dry and unflavored. I asked for some spicy ranch and that saved the salad! The Brussels sprouts were pretty good. My friend had the potato soup and said it was very watery (not creamy at all). I enjoyed the live music and overall vibe but good was average. Parking is an issue as well. There is parking in the rear or a parking garage but not super convenient parking.
