I just ordered a what I thought was going to be a great meal for my daughter and I. My daughter is home today not feeling good and she loves Mexican food. So we ordered through doordash. I ordered the pick three meal and we were going to split it knowing that El Torito usually serves bigger portions. I ordered an extra sweet corn cake as well. We listed on the order to have the enchilada on the side as we didn't want an sauces on the tamale or the flauta. The enchilada was on the side but they still put sauce on the tamale and the flauta so the were very mushy. The entire meal looked like it was prepared way before the door dash driver ever got there and all was cold. They didn't include the extra corn cake. I will not order through this restaurant again. I also called the restaurant and made them aware of the review I am read more

I came to El Torito to celebrate our cousins birthday 03/15/20. The food was delicious but our server Victor Perez was THE BEST!!! He made sure our party was well taken care of. Victor was attentive to our needs and kept the champagne glasses full of mimosa. Definitely come here from brunch and ask for Victor!!!! El Torito is lucky to have him as a server read more

Myriam is the best server!!! Been to several locations and I have never had service as good as hers! She also is great with large parties!

Wow El Torito really pleasantly surprised us tonight. Did take a while because only the patio is open right now, but they text you so you can go to shops or sit in your car and watch some shows. We had our choices ready so we could get our food fast, but this wasn't necessary they were so fast. Within 10-15 minutes of ordering we had our full meals etc. So so so fast and delicious and the server Bertha Alicia was fantastic so positive and up beat. Thank you again had a great night out. read more

This El Torito location is a great place to get your marg on in a covid-safe environment and feel a little "normal." The patio was always the best seating anyway. It's large, well spaced and almost always has a breeze blowing through. They are following all the protocols (cleaning, spacing, etc.); once you are at your patio table you can just chill, enjoy the music and the sound of actual humans enjoying themselves nearby. The food and margs are reliable. And get Bertha as a server if you can, she's fantasctic. Friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. read more

We've been coming to El Torito's for years, you have to request Victor. He is the best. Makes you feel like the most important patron in the restaurant. read more

We've been coming here mostly for their amazing brunch food... the food is always delicious and on par with any authentic Mexican restaurant. The service is always great... we never have an empty drink or a dirty plate. Today we had the privilege of being served by Victor Perez, and I have to say he was very friendly and professional. Another happy customer served. Thank you El Torito and Victor read more

Good service. Pricing is medium-high. Food is tasty but ALL SPICY! Sad because we had a hard time getting through our meal but we'll probably be back and see if they can bring the kick down. If they're able to succeed in that I'll update my review to 5 stars. read more

Had a great time here the other night for my birthday! Victor P was a great waiter - helpful, funny, and attentive. Food came out super fast, drinks and chips refilled without asking. We had been going to Riverside El Torito for the past 3 years since our returning to Riverside. Love the margaritas.... Tonight we spotted a charge on our bill, an unexplained surcharge. After an unusual night of crappy service, this was not a night for surprises. Asked the hostess however she was unable to explain so asked for the manager. We were told it was to off set labor cost... seriously? Watch your bill folks, you may be paying for more than you agree too, we did not! read more

We have been coming to this El Torito for about five years now. I don't leave enough positive reviews on the site but this time I thought it was important. Hats off to Cuco. Cuco is the most amazing bartender ever. He makes the best drinks and ensures that you have the best experience every time. My wife brought the family to dinner for the first time since this coronavirus crap and he made it great as always. Thank you for a great night. read more

Walked into the bar. Walked out after waiting for service for 10-15 minutes. The only reason this establishment gets one star is because the busser was the only person who acknowledged me the entire time. The bartender passed me several times and not once looked my way or said, "I'll be right with you." Seems like this place always has terrible service. Take your money elsewhere. There's several restaurants with decent service in the area. read more

I had a bad experience at El Torito in the past. My wife and I decided to go to El torito for brunch because of convenience. We then had the best server we ever had Victor P and am now a customer for life. Victor P was very attentive and made me and my wife feel like we were his only table. Thank you Victor P for making my experience such a pleasant one. read more

Always enjoy the chips & salsa! The food is pretty decent for the price. The service is hit or miss, however during my recent visit I witnessed the charismatic service of a waitress by the name of Chantal. Her customer service was exceptional! Also, want to point out an awesome bartender, his name is Cuco, ask for him next time or sit at the bar. read more

I love this El Torito! I have been here for happy hours, taco tuesdays, Sunday brunch and just to grab some good food and socialize. My most recent visit was for the Cinco de Mayo Champagne Brunch. What a great experience! Upon arrival my family was greeted with smiles and a waiting area were there were treats and coffee. After getting seated our waitress took down our drink orders and we were off to explore the food stations. The food selection did not disappoint. They had everything from the traditional egg, waffle, bacon, sausage breakfast to a more Mexican traditional breakfast like menudo, tacos, and seafood. Did I mention the shrimp tamales were delicious. What really keeps me coming back to this El Torito is the customer service here. Our waitress was really taking care of my family. My champagne glass never went empty and neither were any of the water glasses at my table. Despite how busy it was, she never made us feel rushed. The Mariachi was just the icing on the cake. Will definitely be back. read more

Sunday brunch, yes please! This was my first time at this location for brunch, previously my favorite location was the Rancho Cucamonga one (now closed) and I have to say in comparison I felt the food options were limited. This might be due to the location size, this location is a lot smaller than the Rancho one. At times the buffet did feel a little crammed, the food area was really close to the tables making it a bit awkward when you were getting food. We did notice there were no eggs at the buffet so we assumed they just did not serve eggs (which was a bit disappointing) but it turns out you have to order those from your server, they offer omelettes, scrambled and over easy. Overall, the food was delicious and we had a great time. Our waiter was exceptional, our table was located in the furthest back corner and usually when that happens waiters tend to forget about those tables, but not our waiter. He would periodically check in and make sure we were doing good, which was very much appreciated. read more

El Torito - Sunday Brunch - Mexican Near Me - Riverside, California

Food was good, service was okay. We came on a Wednesday in which kids eat for free, but it wasn't reflected in our bill. Our server was nowhere to be found, so I took it to one of the hostesses. She came back and only one kids meal was marked off. Told me since my husband ordered an appetizer as his meal, it didn't count as an entree, and it's one entree per free kids meal. His appetizer cost more than my entree! If that was the case, why didn't our server tell us that when we were ordering to begin with? read more

I usually don't wright a review but I had to write a review on my waitress. His name is Victor P. He is an awesome wonderful hard working guy who goes out of his way to serve his clients to have a great day. If you ever visit El Torito Latino or not he has your back. read more

First time here! Loved there Sunday Brunch food wad amazing and our server Victor P was great! There Cadillac Margarita are delicious!

Suuuuuuper disheartened with our last visit. My family and I are regulars here. Upon the request of my grandma, we decided to try their Mother's Day brunch. Very obviously we expected a wait. We checked in at 9:15 am with a 2-2.5 hour wait. We sat outside with the rest of the crowd and after about an hour my youngest sister went to inquire how many parties were ahead of us, the hostess (there were multiple people working in the front due to the large crowd) but the hostess that my sister asked completely dismissed her. I understand, it was busy. The way the staff up front acted was unacceptable. When we finally got called to sit down, our server greeted us and told us to go ahead and grab food from the buffet. It was our first time there for Mother's Day so we weren't sure how the buffet worked. We normally just order from the regular menu. The buffet was overly crowded and totally messy. It was very hard to take anything back to the table. The girl that took our drink order was very nice but with it being swamped she forgot a few of our drinks. So we ended up trying to go to the front where the horchata and Jamica was, but they were empty. To add to the bad experience, There was an older short lady with brown hair (who I'm assuming was a manager) yelled at another customer who had 2 plates in his hand "ONLY 1 PLATE PER TRIP!". That specific customer happened to be sitting right next to my family. He had an elderly lady with him as well as 2 small children. So I'm assuming he had 2 plates for a good reason. The manager embarrassed the heck out of that poor guy. Terrible terrible terrible experience. Not worth the money and for Mother's Day to top it off. read more

Gina was super helpful and the service from Jose was amazing. Nathan did a great job too. Would come again.

At 8:30 walked in looking for cocktails and snack w/ #1 and was greeted by a loud, "THERE'S A 20 MIN WAIT AND THE KITCHEN IS CLOSING!" I guess I should thank her for saving me from spending $40 - $60 and not having to deal w/ a further attitude experience. She's better suited for work behind the counter at the DMV! Definitely a good place to go to for Hispanic food and culture. I love going to El Torito on Sunday mornings for the all-you-can-eat buffet. Different stations with different varieties of food. Just as in any other restaurants, the food scores points, but the service is what brings the customers back. Yesterday I came back, My server, Mariela, was very attentive and helpful. It was a somewhat busy day at the resaurant, and I decided to order the platter( which was amazing btw!). Regardless of the busy situation, Mariela never fails to circle back and check on our table. She always asked if everything was okay and made sure that we got what we needed to enjoy our meals. I never had to look for her to ask for extra condiments or to refill my water. As soon as she saw my water cup half empty, she'd come by and ask if I needed more water. Mariela does know how to enhance my experience at El Torito. I'd definitely come back for the superb customer service from her. read more
