I'm giving El Tiny Cafe five stars, easy. Yelp brought me here because of the strong ratings, and I have to say I completely agree with the hype. This spot is in Berkeley and it definitely has a vibe. At first I didn't fully understand the whole "tiny" concept until we ordered and everything clicked. I got one of their burritos and had that moment of thinking, okay... how many of these am I going to need? But nope, that wasn't the case at all. It's not one of those massive, oversized tortillas. It's a real, standard burrito, the kind my Mexican mom would make for me before school. Simple, comforting, and filling in the best way. Because of that, the price point feels very fair. The flavors are what really stood out to me. Everything tastes homemade, like someone's mom's recipe, and that's honestly hard to find. The service was also really nice, super warm, and welcoming. I grabbed a double shot coffee and it absolutely woke me up for the drive back to LA, which was very much needed. There's something about this place that feels hidden and special, not trying too hard, just doing things right. My favorite little moment was when I went to grab a complimentary water cup and saw how tiny it was. I literally laughed and then it hit me. Ohhh. Tiny Cafe. I totally get it now. It's charming, it's intentional, and it works. Highly recommend stopping here for the burritos and the vibe. This place is tiny as hell, in the best way possible. read more

Clean environment, welcoming service, and most importantly great coffee. Ordered a half decaf cappuccino for 4.25, where as at other coffee shops I go to in the bay are at 6 dollars and charge extra for a decaf shot! This might just be my new favorite cafe. They have great coffee and food options for fair prices, they offer authentic Mexican pastries and breads from local Mexican bakeries, and they have free WiFi for customers without any network restrictions/blockers like other cafes that make it impossible to work. A sweet little place nestled in the quiet part of Berkeley. My friend and I were able to grab breakfast burrito and gluten free sandwich with eggs, tomato, and avocado along with 2 hot drinks for $20! It is a bit hard to find as it is tucked in between other shops or stores but they do have a small sign outside pointing the way. We came here from Yelp. It seemed like the place to be. It was OK. Nothing special. Maybe I should have read deeper into the reviews as to what they offered. The menu is limited for sure. They only serve turkey or ham, no other breakfast meats. That was a disappointment for us all. Just a heads up-- the menu doesn't necessarily describe the up charges for other breads, but there is one even though it says choose a bread. The best part? The food came out really quick. We were in and out. Thank you for that! They outsource all bakery goods and bagels from another bakery. The avocado toast left a bit to be desired. The bread tasted a bit like bananas and we weren't sure why. The cheese on the avocado toast was taking over the minimal avocado on the bread. read more

drinks were good, the mazapan coffee was nutty and tasted great, but i got a hot matcha and it was so bitter :( I usually get matcha everywhere I go since I'm not a coffee enjoyer but it's either the quality of matcha here or the heat that made it bitter, probably the former because color was a very dull green compared to ceremonial matcha that most other places serve. However the food was sooo good! The sandwhich was so big for the price and I got the quesadilla which was also pretty filling for $4.50 + $3 turkey. They have one self ordering kiosk but the service is very friendly! Doing laundry next door I decided to grab coffee and some breakfast. The tiny cafe, isn't too tiny, there are seats inside and out. The staff were super friendly. Customer service was great..... the menu had multiple breakfast options for someone who doesn't eat eggs so that was a plus for me! Very cute cafe with excellent flavored lattes! Last time I tried the marizipan latte. It was so delicious I had to pace myself! There was even bits of Marzipan at the bottom. I also tried a lox bagel and they are very generous with the lox. 10/10. Today I am having a horchata latte inside. For being off a busy street, it's pretty quiet inside.
