You might have a hard time hearing your number being called to pick up your food. Order Of Operations: 1) Order at the register 2) Find a seat 3) Once your number is called, go up to the pick up/condiment section and get your food. Service: Service was alright. Food came out at a decent time. The staffer behind the register was friendly and offered great suggestions. Food Of Choice: 1) Fish Tacos: Fish tacos were great. We stopped at this spot as it came highly recommended for their fish tacos. I tried two fish tacos and one shrimp taco. The fish tacos were really good! They definitely reminded me of the tacos I've had in Ensenada. The shrimp taco was ok, but I wouldn't get that again. I would get another fish taco instead. My daughter had two Al Pastor tacos and she liked them, but they weren't my favorite. The service was great! Everyone was very welcoming and seemed to be genuinely happy that we were there! My mom was at a doctor appointment and asked me to pick her up. She asked if I can take her to grab something to eat and SHE picked Taco Nazo. She lives in Baldwin Park and we were in Baldwin Park so I asked, "in La Puente?" No right here and pointed to this El Taco Nazo. Huh, I didn't know Taco Nazo had a place here? Well it's not. I kind of started to suspect it when I didn't see some of the specials I am used to seeing at the LP or La Habra Taco Nazo. I can't imagine why there are so many Taco Nazo copy cats. I go to Tijuana regularly and they have a knock off there too but all meats, no fish. Why put yourself up to a standard you are not going to achieve. Anyways, she picked this place and ordered two fish tacos. They did NOT look like I was expecting and while they were OK, it isn't the standard that I thought I was signing up for. Tacos were great. Problem lies with the front of house. They served us a cup of beer while we were sitting and of course, thinking it was for us, we drank it. Then they realize THEY messed up on their table orders and decided to charge US for the beer. This was their mistake and still decided to charge us for it and BLAME US for not "being honest". How do you blame the customer when your staff was who messed up? We were having a rough day as it was and it seems like the blonde lady with botched lips was as well given the way she handled the situation. I was recommended this place by a coworker so decided to give it a try. Didn't know that they were known for their fish tacos and thought we can get a deal since it was Taco Tuesday. Unfortunately, fish tacos were discounted on Wednesday but I still decided to try a fish and chicken taco. Parking was easy as there's parking in the front or a lot nearby. The place itself reminded me of an old diner- with images of famous old men lined up against the wall. There were fake flower props for each table which I thought was lovely. The waitress was nice and let me practice my Spanish and was patient with my ordering. The tacos themselves were soft shelled and pretty thin, kept breaking and falling apart in my hand as I tried to eat them. The fish taco was definitely delicious and well fried. Fish tacos are BOMB. Perfectly fried tender and juicy fish, shredded cabbage, a delicious crema, topped with tomato and cilantro (unless you're anti-cilantro like me). It's a family owned establishment and they treat their customers like family too. You will be greeted as soon as you walk in, even though you pay at the counter they will bring your food to you and any sides and salsas you'd like. Everything tasted bland except the Jamaica. Jamaica was $6, shrimp burrito $13.99, asada burrito $10.99, and 2 fish tacos about $7.50. About $40 bucks later... I wished I had gone somewhere else. Shrimps were extra salty, no flavor in the asada. Fish was just mediocre. You had to drown everything in salsas to make it tasty worthy. I got invited out to eat and my group really wanted to come here so I decided to give this restaurant another shot to see if it improved, but unfortunately, this dining experience was much more terrible than the other. I ordered a carne asada burrito and every single ingredient in the burrito was extremely bland. The beans had no flavor, the rice was mushy and tasted like nothing, and the meat was flavorless and a grey color. Absolutely disgusting! The tortilla was cold too and not even heated up whatsoever. The entire burrito tasted like nothing. It was just a bunch of unnecessary chewing. I had to drown it in a chile to make it somewhat more edible but not even doing that saved it. It's basically a $1 quality burrito that they try and sell you for almost $11. Absolutely insane!! I don't know how you can call yourself a Mexican restaurant but mess up even the most simplest Mexican foods. Especially the most basic things such as rice and beans. At that point, you have completely failed in my opinion. The only redeeming quality of this place is an older friendly lady who usually works at the cash register. But there's another younger waitress who is extremely overconfident and flirtatious with the male customers. She acted this way at my table and even at the tables in front and behind me. She will do this even if she sees females sitting there accompanying the men. I assume she probably acts this way to try and get tips $$$$ but nevertheless it is very uncomfortable and distasteful to witness. My friend is from this area and suggested we go here for lunch. This place was sooo good. Everything we ordered 10/10. I ordered a michelada, shrimp taco, and the cheese enchilada combo. The michelada was HUGE, I almost couldn't finish it but it was so delicious. The shrimp taco was also great! Stuffed with fried shrimp and topped with shredded cabbage (which I really enjoyed) and a pico. Loved the cheese enchilada combo as well. Passing through I noticed the sign and assumed it was Taco Nazo! Parking is hard to find- I went in and immediately this unhoused man approached me asking for money to help with a burial- he went to everyone in line asking for money and even went up to the counter as someone was ordering their food. Finally one of the staff came over and asked him to leave- it was late at night - I wasn't too familiar with the area so it was an awkward situation. I ordered 1 fish taco and the girl taking my order asked me if that was it! No drink? I replied no! As I waited a woman (employee) almost knocked me down rudely moving in front of me to get orders from cooking area. Everyone seemed on edge. After I received my tack I went to my car to eat.
