The restaurant is nice and clean and the staff is friendly. I tried the 3 taco combo asada, pastor, carnitas rice and beans. I think the carnitas was the best. Try the aguas frescas they are good and thick not too sweet. read more

If you are looking for authentic Mexican food, Tizoc is the right restaurant for you. I have been a customer for a while. My family like their tacos and burritos. The restaurant is small, but they have multiple indoor seating. The service is always fast and great. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. I have my favorite from their menu, but one day I will try many new dishes. For this visit, I ordered Asada burritos, alpastor taco, Lingua taco. Their asada burritos is the best. It is huge and loaded with meat. We Enjoyed their lingua taco. It is the best flavorful and moist lingua I have ever had. Alpastor tacos was excellent as usual. Their rice and fried beans are very flavorful too. I totally recommend Tizo, authentic food, nice staff and great customer service. read more

This is by far the best authentic Mexican food. I've been coming here for a number of years and their food is consistently delicious. The only thing that disappointed me is the size of their tacos, some how they shrunk in size this year. They used to be a full size tortilla now you'll get street taco size. Inflation goes up, their tacos shrank and their prices went up as well. Gloria is gone. She always gave great service. The other staff are great. Alex the owner is always very friendly. Whenever I'm in B.P I definitely make it a point to stop at Tizoc. Everything is fire from their nachos to tortas. IMO they have some of the best asada, just saying! Small restaurant so definitely a spot for takeout. Employees are friendly and have a clean establishment. If you're in Baldwin Park check it out. read more

Food is amazing! Employees are hospitable and friendly! Place is nice and clean! What more is there to say?! Such an amazing Mexican restaurant. I tried their wet burrito, tacos, and burrito. The meats were all incredible and the chips that came with my wet burrito were freshly fried. Everything tasted so fresh and I didn't feel super bad after eating it all lol. I have never had a bad meal here. Today I got the carnitas wet burrito and it was delicious. The service is great and they just remodeled. This is a hidden gem in Baldwin Park. I've brought my dad for menudo on the weekends and my husband for dinners. I can't recommend this place enough. When ever my husband suggests going here to eat, I say YES! read more

My girlfriend and I were craving some Mexican, so we stopped by this spot to pick up some food on the way home. Glad we stopped and tried it out! Ordered a sope combo plate, a carnitas burrito, an agua de horchata and agua de jamaica. It did not disappoint! Portions were perfect. Taste was solid. Definitely going back to try the breakfast! Yelp 100 Challenge 2017 # 85/100 Was craving torta but didn't want to drive all the way to DTLA for Wendy's. Wanted to check out this "hole in the wall" as one yelper wrote. Was pleasantly surprised that it's not actually a true "hole in the wall" but sort of a 'mom and pop' kind of establishment, where everybody knows everybody, and food coming to your table is reminiscent of those whipped up in the kitchens of abuelitas. So despite the many choices on their menu, I have already made up my mind to order the torta milanesa. Breaded beef cooked to perfection, fresh sliced tomatoes, lettuce, beans, avocado, and jalapeños, in between a slightly toasted telera roll (bread used for torta/sandwich). Got some pickled carrots, yellow chilies, green salsa and it was on! It was so good I finished the whole thing, minus a few bites from my sis and son who wanted to try it too. Still that sandwich was huge. My sister got the camarron a la plancha. I tried a piece of the shrimp, with some rice and beans. It was good, but nothing compared to the explosion in my mouth created by the torta. My boy got the al pastor burrito with everything. It was really good too. Saturday's and Sunday's they serve menudo. I've already marked that tidbit in my calendar. read more

I've been coming here for over 15years. Man has this place changed! Food isn't good anymore and the prices are way more expensive then other Mexican restaurants. Always check your receipts and ask what you are being charged for. The last two times that I've gone they've charged me extra for things and I have to tell them. Then to top it off the food is burnt. Waste of money! Won't be coming back anymore! Gave it another chance just because we know the owner but no thank you. These are 2 of the 3 tortas we got! Super burnt! Didn't even eat it. If you're looking for a quiet, family-friendly restaurant with attentive service and authentic Mexican food, this wouldn't be my recommendation.

She barely ate anything, just about two pieces of watermelon and a small bite of concha bread. For that amount of food, I found the $17 charge completely unreasonable. When I questioned the charge, the waiter explained that because the food was put on her plate rather than being fed to her directly by us, they considered her to have eaten from the buffet and charged the full $17. He also mentioned that management is watching the cameras to determine whether children are eating from the buffet. Honestly, I find this policy excessive. I understand that buffets need rules to prevent people from sharing food or taking advantage of the system, but charging $17 for a 2 year old who ate practically nothing seems unreasonable. There should be some sort of reduced price or reasonable policy for toddlers, especially when they consume such a small amount of food. The food may be worth trying, but because of this experience and the way the situation was handled, I would think twice before returning. We got there a little before 10am on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2026. We parked and a man in a parked car told us that the owner had not arrived and the restaurant was closed. According to the info online, they open at 10am. A woman showed up after 10:10am and we walked to the front to be let in. The first table we sat at was dirty so we moved a couple of tables over and same thing. My aunt mentioned that the bathroom was not clean. We asked for coffee and ordered 4 bowls of menudo. The red flag that we ignored was that it did not smell like menudo, or any other food for that matter--how is it that you enter a restaurant that serves menudo on the weekends and there is no aroma of it in the air?? We had assumed that the menudo was left slow-cooking over-night, like we do it at home lol. We were served chips, salsa, beans and our coffees but waited until 10:35am to be served menudo and it was terrible!! We are not the type of people to make a scene (we should have spoken up since we were the only patrons), and we ate the menudo begrudgingly. It didn't look or taste just made, I'm sure it was old---my three family members said it tasted like canned and old menudo. Trust when I say that that is not the same menudo we had two times before!! We all asked for 'pata' and we all got pezunas!! THEY WERE NOT PATAS! WTH??!! I wish I would have taken a picture of all four bowls. My aunt asked for a glass of water, and the waiter told her that they only had bottled water. Uhm, I've NEVER been to a restaurant that has said that--they ask if we want filtered tap water or bottled water. Most restaurants will bring you ice water with lemon if you ask but not here, here you need to buy the water. How do you not have filtered water? You are a restaurant and I'm sure you use water in some of your dishes. Are you using bottled water? Second red flag: No other customers came to the restaurant while we were there--we left about 11:40ish so it was nearing lunchtime. Needless to say, we will not be going back and it's disappointing because I'm a big advocate of supporting small businesses, especially mom and pop owned. I don't know what the other food tastes like but if the menudo is an indication, I definitely won't be back to try other platillos. To the owners, please bring back the freshness, sazon and flavor you once had and it would be nice if the restaurant opened earlier on the weekend. Most people like to eat menudo early in the morning lol.
