The boyfriend and I wanted menudo today and had been here before. I am happy we found this spot. It's small and quaint. The food is delicious and made to order. The tortillas were hand made and warm when brought out. The server was friendly and sweet. Overall the second time around it was good as the first time. Definitely recommend this place if you want authentic Mexican cuisine. It's a small location, but the food and service is exceptional. read more

Lolita's is a petite Mexican restaurant that packs a punch when it comes to traditional Mexican food. We came on a Sunday morning, with a large party. The service was quick, and again- felt the authenticity of a Mexican restaurant. Highlights- - Menudo was incredibly flavorful, not too spicy and had a good balance of hominy and meats. The tortilla was flour, and definitely made in the restaurant. - Chilaquiles were good also but maybe just a little small that left us wanting more. Opportunities- - The server did not write down our orders which we cautioned against with the size of our party but was insistent she did not need to write it down. When our food came, the majority of the order was correct for the actual plates but the special requests were wrong (i.e., wrong color sauce or wrong sides). Delicious spicy menudo been coming here for almost 12 years. The Ladies are amazing & friendly. Mrs. Olga always makes my fresh squeeze lemonade.... even if is not in the menu. My kiddos love the alpastor tacos with a side order of consome. Salsa are fire love the oil salsa. read more

The asada torta was good. The bread was a little on the thinner/softer side which made it hard to pick up- the inside kept falling out. Make sure that you try the yummy spicy salsa...so good. It brings all the flavors together. The restaurant was nice and clean along with pleasant staff. read more

Purchased the 4 taco combo. The combo came out to 19.50 . LOL. The taxes were $3.00 . Really?? The beans portion was half filled, and so was the rice. The tacos were extremely small and so greasy. The quality of food is not good for what they charge. Do better. read more

So our first trip to this delicious find. Service was great. Food was delicious. Oh and did I mention homemade corn tortillas? Yes. Great place. Early hours, but I suppose breakfast or lunch it is. The worst Chilequilles ever, Dont know what others are talking about,basically they took tortilla chips from a bag , top with egg and onions and called it chilaquiles look at picture same chips they give you on table, dose with same chili on table. Not authentic this is the lazy man's chiliequilles cheap to make. Sorry just trying to spare the next person from disappointment. What a joke. I could have just ordered eggs only and took the tortilla chips and Chile on table and mixed it together, same result. read more

Once again my homegirl came thru with yet another bomb Mexican food restaurant. So we were greeted as we walked in and the lady said we can sit wherever we see fit. We get complimentary chips and salsa. We had the barbacoa and it came with the consomé (barbacoa broth) rice and beans. The homemade tortillas were so delicious too. Guys!! This place is a big hole in the wall but it's delicious!!! Please please try their food, don't let appearances deprive you from trying this delicious food. I tried their Carne en su jugo and it was yummy. I just wished they would have served it in a bowl type container. Also, I tried their barbacoa!!!! WOW!!!!! We got there a little before 10am on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2026. We parked and a man in a parked car told us that the owner had not arrived and the restaurant was closed. According to the info online, they open at 10am. A woman showed up after 10:10am and we walked to the front to be let in. The first table we sat at was dirty so we moved a couple of tables over and same thing. My aunt mentioned that the bathroom was not clean. We asked for coffee and ordered 4 bowls of menudo. The red flag that we ignored was that it did not smell like menudo, or any other food for that matter--how is it that you enter a restaurant that serves menudo on the weekends and there is no aroma of it in the air?? We had assumed that the menudo was left slow-cooking over-night, like we do it at home lol. We were served chips, salsa, beans and our coffees but waited until 10:35am to be served menudo and it was terrible!! We are not the type of people to make a scene (we should have spoken up since we were the only patrons), and we ate the menudo begrudgingly. It didn't look or taste just made, I'm sure it was old---my three family members said it tasted like canned and old menudo. Trust when I say that that is not the same menudo we had two times before!! We all asked for 'pata' and we all got pezunas!! THEY WERE NOT PATAS! WTH??!! I wish I would have taken a picture of all four bowls. My aunt asked for a glass of water, and the waiter told her that they only had bottled water. Uhm, I've NEVER been to a restaurant that has said that--they ask if we want filtered tap water or bottled water. Most restaurants will bring you ice water with lemon if you ask but not here, here you need to buy the water. How do you not have filtered water? You are a restaurant and I'm sure you use water in some of your dishes. Are you using bottled water? Second red flag: No other customers came to the restaurant while we were there--we left about 11:40ish so it was nearing lunchtime. Needless to say, we will not be going back and it's disappointing because I'm a big advocate of supporting small businesses, especially mom and pop owned. I don't know what the other food tastes like but if the menudo is an indication, I definitely won't be back to try other platillos. To the owners, please bring back the freshness, sazon and flavor you once had and it would be nice if the restaurant opened earlier on the weekend. Most people like to eat menudo early in the morning lol.
