Omanas holds its own and I have been a long time customer from days in south El Monte location. The chile verde burrito is my go-to! I say I'm going to get something new but can't help but order that. Plenty of tables and a shared parking lot. Plenty of options for the whole family.

Great small spot for delicious Mexican food. My son and I shared the carnitas plate or rather, my son ate the carnitas plate and I took a few bites. He loved it. The best he has had which is a big endorsement. I barely took a picture before he had his second scoop. Omana's is located in a small strip mall with a 7/11 and laundry mat.

I was in the area and decided to stop by since a good friend recommended this place a few months back. I was pleasantly surprised at the authenticity of the chile verde burrito. Just the right spice and as tender as it could be. The flour tortilla made me feel that I was in Sonora. Will be back for the rest of the menu.

Located in a shopping plaza just west of Barranca, next to a laundromat, Tacos Omanas has been around over 40 years. Our usual taco place was closed for Labor Day, so I found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. Prices are reasonable, restaurant is clean, food is good. We got the California Burrito w/ asada, an asada meat burrito, a carnitas taco and pollo taco. My family still prefers our other taco place, but Tacos Omanas still hits the spot for our taco and burrito cravings.

Wow, bad experience here. First timer and stopped in for a burrito. Young lady at the register greeted me, which started off good. Asked what the burritos have in them (meat rice, beans, cilantro, onions, etc)...she said beans and meat only. Surprised, I said ok. Ordered the steak picado burrito and man was I disappointed in this Mexican Restaurant. I don't know if I ordered the wrong thing but the burrito literally had just beans in it. No veggies, maybe a couple pieces of meat, it was falling apart because of the massive amount of beans. I couldn't believe the cook actually made it the way it came out. Reading the reviews, looking at the picture, I don't want to believe it but this place is a one star for a comfortable feel while you eat. Tops for the Worst burrito I've had ever. I'm in the area often and would love to stop by again, it'll be tough. For now, I would not return and don't recommend.

Came through from the 559 thinking tacos were a safe bet. Wrong. Two asada tacos that looked like they were thrown together in a hurry, just meat and red sauce, no cilantro or onions. Apparently asking for lime is a problem here. The counter guy had a bad attitude, and the place was a mess. If you're craving disappointment, this is the spot.

Being a local business owner (TACOKING ON AZUSA AVENUE) i stoped by and got excellent service from juan, i saw the menu and took my chance on the CARNE ASADA BURRITO, THAT BURRITO WAS BOMB ASFK 10/10 cant complain, and i want to give the crew a shout out holding down a local shop the right way, juan i appreciate your service brother!

    Destroyed this burrito and tacos!

Thankfully we were able to detour from Anaheim on our way to LAX. Special shout out to the dedicated staff who graciously accommodated us and allowed us to sneak in a bit early in order to fulfill our cravings and still make our flight on time. I grew up going to Casa Moreno since the original spot in 1995, you can say it's home for me. My kids have therefore grown up visiting it every chance we get when visiting our family in the area. We generally all share and pass our plates around in true family style because we can never decide which all-star traditional plates to order. This time, the kid's quesadilla, 3 Amigos, Steak Fajitas, Chicken Flautas and Machaca made the cut. The look on my son's face when the sizzling platter was headed his way was just as magical as seeing him hug Chip and Dale. Every single bite warmed our hearts and filled our homemade food starved bodies. Casa Moreno is undeniably the greatest Mexican food that Los Angeles has had to offer for over 30 years. Their traditions span throughout three generations and the second you crunch those warm chips covered in their "Chilanga" salsa, you'll be hooked. The best part is that my local family is always there and pleased to come sit with us. We are all unfortunately spread apart across the country but Casa Moreno will always be the place that brings us together. Our shared experiences and memories there always make it HOME. Thank you Casa Moreno for all the sacrifices and hard work to stay around this long, it is very much appreciated by this LA girl living in Hawai'i.

It was tasty and there was plenty on the plate along with rice, beans, and a small salad. Absolutely love that they put a fire roasted chili on top, radish slices, and an orange slice. Right away, the vibe was giving outdoor patio but with cozy indoor energy. Super clean inside and out, and the staff was really friendly. Our waitress this morning--her name was "B"--was the sweetest. Super kind, always checking in on us and making sure we were good. If you're like me and super indecisive, I usually stalk the menu the night before. But this menu was HUGE--pages and pages. I flipped straight to the brunch section in the back (three full pages!) and landed on the Supreme Skillet: potatoes, over-easy eggs, bell peppers, ham, and sausage. It came with three tortillas of your choice--I picked corn. Taste-wise, it was good, but I wish there were bigger and more pieces of meat. Compared to other skillets I've had, this one was a little light on the protein. It was $17.99. I'd rate it a 6.5/10, but with the refried beans on the side, it bumped up to a 6.9/10. My bestie ordered the Combo Benedict with French toast sticks, and honestly...the French toast sticks were the star. Super crispy, fluffy inside, and perfect with syrup. We also got the mimosa flight--mango, strawberry, and peach. All were tasty, super cute, and very Instagram-worthy. I can totally see this place popping at night with music and drinks. That said, even in the morning with only one other couple next to us, the music was pretty loud--it was kinda hard to talk during our brunch, literally had to look at besties lips to know what she's saying. I can't even imagine nighttime volume, lol. Overall: Ambience: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Food: 3.5/5 Definitely a fun spot to try, especially if it's your first time! But def plenty better brunch food out there! Happy eats!
