Excellent service & excellent food. Tried the taco plate today cause get three tacos, beans & rice. The beans are really good. They are not only the perfect smoothness but very tasty. Rice is nice - dry not wet. Now the meats! Three tacos - chicharon (red or green sauce), carnitas, and and buches. All three were very tasty. Buches was new to me but reminded me of pork roast on a minor level. Tasted more like pork than the carnitas. The chicharon was not the chunk of meat version. It's the skin itself so it's soft. Btw, the green sauce is awe--some! My friend had the fish taco (prepared Ensenada style), the carne asada and adobo. She liked all of hers and she went back to get tacos to take home to family. Her brother also loved the fish taco! Pretty much everything is good here. My friend said the steak picado is also excellent! Fantastic, local's, family run spot, that has been around. It's your token hole-in-wall gem, commanding loyalty from regulars of local workers and families. Including me, since I tend to stop by for lunch a lot. If you don't know it existed, most people would blow past it since it's in the far corner of a strip mall, behind the Szechwan/Sichuan restaurant, near the Pick Wick liquor store and the 7-11. Tacos Omanas. It has tacos in the name, so get the tacos! Not that their other stuff is bad. I get their nachos from time-to-time, and I can't say their style of burrito is my favorite. But all the varieties of tacos just hit the spot for me. They come out fast, piping hot, pre-seasoned, pre-salsa. And oozing with goodness. Yes, all the tacos, whether you get it normally or dorado style, there is no elegant way to eat them. They are drippy, hot, and get all over the place. But steak picado, asada, buches, shrimp, and even their fish tacos are oh so satisfying. Not offensively spicy, but enough bite to complement such a beautiful, soulful, home-cooked taste. Wrapped in real tortillias, with real substance and texture. Try this little hole in the wall place hidden in the back of the 7-11 strip mall. The cook rolls the tacos with one hand pretty cool. Non stop people for a sunday night. Inside has a handful of tables to sit both takeout orders and sit in's. Not a long wait for orders. Chile Verde burrito very tasty the pork was shredded I am used to chunks it had a little kick to it the beans were very good I would like to go have a bean and cheese burrito. We also tried the steak picado taco recommended as one of the favorites the tortilla was dipped in something but it was good tender pieces of meat bathed in the goodness of onions tomatoes, that makes a sauce. We also had chicken taquitos comes with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, avocado sauce, laying on green chili. I made the mistake and had the cream on the side, but that makes the whole taquito is super good. The cream is very tasty. Wasn't a fan of the chicken that seem like it was overcooked for the taquito. They have taco Tuesday every taco for only two dollars. If you want to try the different tacos that they have. read more

This place is so good and unassuming! Tucked away behind a strip of stores with a Laundromat, liquor store, nail salon and 7-11, honestly you wouldn't ever just happen across this place on a walk, but it came up on a search, and it's so close to out home that we decided to check it out. Our usual taco place was closed for Labor Day, so I found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. Prices are reasonable, restaurant is clean, food is good. We got the California Burrito w/ asada, an asada meat burrito, a carnitas taco and pollo taco. Wow, bad experience here. First timer and stopped in for a burrito. Young lady at the register greeted me, which started off good. Asked what the burritos have in them (meat rice, beans, cilantro, onions, etc)...she said beans and meat only. Surprised, I said ok. Ordered the steak picado burrito and man was I disappointed in this Mexican Restaurant. I don't know if I ordered the wrong thing but the burrito literally had just beans in it. No veggies, maybe a couple pieces of meat, it was falling apart because of the massive amount of beans. I couldn't believe the cook actually made it the way it came out. Reading the reviews, looking at the picture, I don't want to believe it but this place is a one star for a comfortable feel while you eat. Tops for the Worst burrito I've had ever. I came in today for the first time, after my sister insisted we come here. We are definitely Foodies and she kept seeing this location all over her Instagram page. So we decided to try it out. Walked in and were greeted warmly by the nicest cashier. Hate that I wasn't able to get her name but she was amazing! Telling us about the food and sharing her recommendations. As I was telling the young lady we are first time visitors, a young gentleman who works there, not sure if it was one of the owners or not, was doing a video for social media of the food and literally offered me an order of nachos that they had been filming. So stoked about that LOL not to mention the nachos were freaking fire! So good and tasty. I think they're best known for their Chile verde, if you're a sissy like me LOL, it might be a little spicy. But the flavor is definitely there. Wasn't a big fan of their crispy tacos as they were a little bit soggy. But overall this was a wonderful experience and we will definitely be back. My coworkers have been here before, but I tried it for the first time today. It was alright, but different from what I expected from a typical Mexican food place. I got the California burrito and it was good. Good sized burrito with the usual ingredients and $11.00 is a pretty good price nowadays. I also got a couple of tacos, asada and chicharron, and they were not as good as the burrito. They ask if you want red or green sauce and they smother it on the tacos so it is pretty messy. I think you can ask for it on the side if you don't want your tacos so messy and soggy if you're taking your order to go. I also didn't see any cilantro and onions that you usually get on tacos. Not sure if you're supposed to ask for them or if they just forgot. Never had chicharron tacos before, but this was just way too chewy and i couldn't eat it. If I'm craving some Mexican food, I might come back and try some other stuff on the menu, but I'll stay away from the tacos. read more

There were three orders ahead of us and I dont think we waited longer than 7 minutes for our order. Really enjoyed that. Ordered tacos without the sauce and a quesadilla. Quesadilla was yummy. I always like to go to the mom and pop restaurants because they never fail to surprise your taste buds with flavor (well sometimes they do, lol) and Omanas Tacos did not let us down. The selections are good and the sauces they have there are outstanding. They actually season there meat too, unlike some places. They aren't stingy with the meat either. Hidden in a corner of a strip mall, near 7-11, a liquor store, and behind a Szechwan restaurant. First impression : no air conditioning, sign on the door restrooms for customers only. Also, second sign: Machine broken cash only! Ok.. we figured quick tacos and we will be out. Well, hubby ordered a combo.. meat, rice, tortillas. I ordered a wet burrito. Order is ready, go grab it and We're told rice isn't ready but they can give us rice to go .. when we're done ..ahhh ok??? but she says ... we have u a salad they instead ( some lettuce in place of the rice) .. . What? But this wasn't told to us when we ordered ... as they should have ... they tell us all this after we paid and our food is ready. They new they didn't have rice why not tell us before ... we could have changed our order. What cracks me up is that when we ordered they pushed "the combo" option. She had asked me if i wanted to make it a "combo" with my wet burrito. What ..? I felt a bit scammed ...hubby wanted rice ... and it was EXTRA cash for combo... not nice!! Other points.... It was Sunday 3pm and empty ... how could you not have rice ready . Wet burrito was okay... the sauce was not the usual enchilada sauce we are use to ... it had a very tomato sauce flavor .. more on the spaghetti flavor. When we were done eating i go up to the gal and say , "hey is rice ready yet?" she says oh maybe another 5-10minutes. Looked up fish tacos in the area and this was one of the first places to pop up, I was a little skeptical because of all the mixed reviews- dropped in at 10:45AM, ordered 2 fish tacos and a bean & cheese burrito (if a Mexican restaurant has a really good bean and cheese burrito i know everything else is fire) the bean & cheese burrito was in the car for maybe 5 minutes, it was luke warm, the beans were not piping hot, they didn't taste fresh. The fish tacos were drenched in sauce, they didn't travel well & there was no lime included. I ordered a side of chips which I didn't mind paying for, they were okay. The salsa verde was tasty, the red salsa had very minimal flavor and smelled a bit sour. The food wasn't terrible but there was definitely nothing spectacular about the meal as a whole. The restaurant could use some TLC in the dining room, the service wasn't terrible, no attitude like I read. Maybe I ordered the wrong things but I don't think I'll return, glad I tried it once! read more
