This little place has awsome Wet Brurrito. However, either due to new ownership or somthing, they have increased prices and portions got smaller last few months all happened at the same time. What a disppointment. On top of that, they now charge $ for chips and salsa. I am not very happy at all on these changes. I still love their Wet Burrito. Yet, it does not make sense this iincrese in price and smaller portions... Service was always marginal since I see new faces each time I hop in. read more

I have to dial back my first review a bit. The tacos are really good, but I would stick with just the tacos. I have tried a couple of other things and they really weren't good. The most memorably lousy was some undercooked enchiladas that tasted like they came from the microwave. If I were to review the tacos alone, this place is a 4.5-5 star. This place has really went downhill. They give you as little food as possible, constantly decreasing the portion sizes as time goes on. You also used to be able to get chips and salsa along with your food as you waited when you dined in... a practice they have abandoned. Also every single time I go there and order the churros for dessert they *never* have the ice cream that they advertise to go along with it. Why have it on the menu if you're just going to charge me the same price for half of what I ordered? The food itself, despite the small portions is not bad however they're sitting right next door to a GREAT Asian place and across the street from a popular Mexican restaurant which directly competes against it. I understand the competition is tough and they probably had to reduce portion sizes because they weren't making enough money but if you're not satisfying the customer then you're just going to lose even more customers in the long run. edit: After getting so many complaints it appears that they're once again giving free chips and salsa with your orders. And last time I ordered churros here I did get Ice Cream! So maybe they're taking complaints into consideration and improving? read more

Cute little Mexican place. Was caught by the name, but keep coming back for the food. I love the fried pork. Tacos or wet burritos. The service is quick and friendly. The prices have gone up. My favorite tacos in Everett. My favorites are the carne asada tacos. Their tacos are traditional corn tortillas with cilantro and onions which is the best. I usually order 3-4 tacos if I'm hungry, my husband usually eats 5. The decor inside is fun and very orange. The paintings on the wall are pretty awesome. Also if you need a drink after work, they have a full service bar in the back now. Never tried it but there are always a few people having a good time back there. Prices are cheap and tacos are yummy. Even cheaper if you come on taco Tuesday. read more

Let me start by saying the food is awesome. We love breakfast burritos and they have the ones we like the best. That said we are currently waiting outside their store and again they are not open on time. They have no respect for their customers and posting hours they can actually meet. Ok so I've been looking for fish tacos in the area for awhile and finally got around to El Taco Boom. We were in the mood for a quick evening bite so I took the family down to grab some takeout based solely on their Yelp reviews. Walked in, the place looked clean, the staff friendly, and not overly crowded. In fact, only one table at dinner time maybe should have been a red flag but they do offer takeout as well. Ordered the "new fish taco combo" which actually was just three fish tacos, no other sides or drink for around $7. I ordered sides of beans and rice at $2.50 apiece, since none were included. The beans were literally liquid, like they had been sitting in a very hot pot all day. I strained out all the liquid and ended up with a mere spoonful of beans! I also ordered a soda, and with my wife's meal and soda I paid almost $30 for cheap Mexican takeout. Overall, the food was tasty and authentic. The prices were certainly higher than they should be and the sides are way too expensive for what you get. I would return, but ensure you get what you pay for with extras. The food is typical western Washington Mexican. All I can really say is "THE PLACE IS BRIGHT ORANGE", and they blare Mexican soap operas on the TV. I left with a headache that lasted the rest of the month. read more

Good prices, aren't stingy with portions, friendly welcoming staff and they have the best horchata I come here for taco Tuesday ($1 tacos) The meat is rich in flavor with little to no gristle. This place has typical fast service mexican food. I got couple to-go orders from here and they tasted pretty good. The portions were a little small and the prices are a bit high. This place possibly caters to the hispanic customers? as I was first in line and a couple came in and the lady stopped taking my order and sat the other people down and started chatting with them and took their order before mine. Barely mediocre Mexican food. I had the chilaquiles and bf had fish taco. The salsa verde is too spicy and everything isn't mixed together. The beans tasted alright, eggs, were a little too salty, and the little bit of lettuce/mince tomato mix seemed kind of limp. I had to ask for guacamole too. BF said his fish taco were ok, but he really like their orange sauce they had. I tried it and it's kind of got a weird tangy non-salsa-y taste to it. read more

They have the best tacos!!! I also love their taco salad, which is my absolute favorite. The staff is friendly and the service is fast.

Asked if tortillas were homemade, was told not for tacos. (Umm hello the place is called taco bomb) Taco's were OK, I've been to better places, and homemade corn tortillas are way better than mass produced ones. That's what makes some of the best Tacos I've had, and I've been all over the country having tacos, because I love them. The corn tortilla chips that came with my meal were either under done or stale, they were chewy. If you thinks this place is awesome, you've never had good tacos. To top it off, the owners started arguing with me on FB about my review. If you want really good tacos go down the street to El Taco Maestro. They even have goat meat. Plus they don't have multiple health code violations against them like Taco Boom. read more

Good authentic food! The food here is good and it's just the right price. Sometimes they can be slow (rare), but that's why I always call in ahead of time. I always order tongue as the optional choice. I like this place a little better than El Rinconsito but not so much that wouldn't frequent both establishments. Good stuff! read more

El Taco Boom is a great place to drop by for a quick bite to eat. I've come on multiple occasions for the beef and shrimp tacos. WOW. They're fantastic, El taco boom also has a nice selection of sauces and they range from mild to spicy! Also the staff, while busy, are helpful and courteous. The tacos are my favorite option, but whenever I stray to another food option I am not disappointed. The platter is good, also the beef and chicken plates. This place is just awesome - The food is fantastic every time I've been here. It's one of those great lil hole in the wall places you hear about. They don't overprice things and I would much rather eat here or pick up something and go home than go to a "American" Mexican restaurant. We decided to try this place instead of more fancy Azteca type restaurant as it was Cinco de Mayo and those places are usually packed. This place was moderately busy but it was festive and people were enjoying themselves. They had the music way up in the bar for the occasion. You could say this place is similar to El Reconsito but with a bar added. You seat yourself but you get waiter service. Beer is available as well as Mexican sodas like Jarritos and Mexican Coke. The menu has a decent selection, your typical selections like tacos and burritos, but also dishes and plates like Chile Verde, which is what my wife had, and Pollo Asado which is what I had. They also have stuff for breakfast, including pancakes (!) and desserts like Flan. Choice of tortillas, which are small but just right for me. The chicken was tasty, though it may may not have been freshly made, however I enjoyed it anyway. I also tried my wife's Chile Verde and it was big chunks of pork so very filling, though they were a little spicy for me. My only critique was the portion of beans and rice sides could be bigger. As mentioned before there's a small bar for drinks and appetizers too. We took our baby son and he had a good time even if the music was too loud. And there's a TV with a Spanish station, and they were playing a futbol match when we there. The other dishes look good too so we will go back to try them. read more

Save your $ and go across the street to eat Mexican food. I waited what seemed like a long time for my food, it was bland and very overpriced. The decor doesn't help much either and they have carpet! It is very hot just sitting inside and that concerned me regarding the temperature the meat is cooked. Thought I would give this place another chance so I came with my family ordered tacos and meat was poor quality and hard and chewy. The kids chicken burrito had cheap cuts of meat that was undercooked,because it was pink. The carne asada was okay,but just a cheap piece of skirt steak. Also the salsa was bland and taste like tomato juice. Was overpriced we paid over 30 bucks for low quality food. I found out why this place is always empty, people know good mexican food and a good mexican restaurant is always full of customers,obviously some drastic changes need to be made. A friend of mine at work had lunch there on Saturday, paid via debit card and later that day had a charge show up from a Hispanic grocery in Renton, wa.
