My girlfriend and I met up here for our monthly meet. Free parking can be found in the parking lot. Credit cards are an accepted form of payment. Indoors reminded me of a Teriyaki joint rather than a Mexican restaurant. The bar area is dark and felt like a small closet. Beer choices are extremely limited. A posted sign in the window stated Happy Hour on draft beer; however, we didn't receive happy hour prices. We nibbled on complimentary chips and salsa while deciding what we were going to order. Sub-par. I had a couple draft Pacifico's for $4.56 each. My girlfriend had a couple bottles of Modelo Negra for $4.56 each. I chose the Regular Burrito for $7.75: ground beef, rice, beans, lettuce, cheese, sour cream and pico de gallo. Absolutely delicious. My girlfriend ordered the Three Taco Combo for $9.50. She stated that she enjoyed her meal choice as well. Service was all right and friendly enough. Overall, I'm glad that we tried El Taco Boom. To be honest, I will only go to El Taco Boom in the future to pick up a to-go order, rather than dine on-site.

Plenty of other spots to go to. Ordered the 3 fish tacos combo, paid just under $17. Got told afterwards that there's no combo and it's just 3 tacos. For $17. lol. Goodluck!

Visited this place this morning. Ordered breakfast and seems like the cook forgot to add egg. More onion than anything. 3/13/2022

3-13-2022 terrible cook. The other cook is better. Egg Breakfast was full of onion and barely any egg. The rice was tasteless

Really not impressed with the food, this has been my second time trying out food from this place only to give them the benefit of the doubt. This type of food is more for the "I need to soak up all alcohol in my system" Person. Pros: Price Cons: Food prep Heartburn city Basic

I only come here for their breakfast burrito. It comes out fast and it's stuffed with potatoes, cheese and I get it with bacon. Plus they give desk tortilla chips that made in house. Love their salsa! Come here before 11 to get a discount on the price.

In short Clean, bright, friendly family-style Mexican place…read more Full bar, plenty of TVs. In long I definitely miss the awesome Thai place that used to be here, but Luna offsets that nostalgia. They're doing a great job. There's a cool courtyard, with iron fencing and gating that seems to suit the Mexican decor even better than it did the previous tenant. There's a good-sized winding dining room indoors too. Brightly-colored paint, nice matching tables and chairs, some big screens probably tuned to the game. Service is right on point, cheerful and low-key, ready to make you feel right at home. You get a menu right away, water with chips and salsa in a minute or two. The drink menu isn't the main focus, but you get basic versions of most anything. I had a Luna Margarita with lots of fresh fruit in there--even had to clear the straw at one point. The chips and salsa are generic. Just pico and tomato sauce stirred up. Would be nice to see them make something in house, but not too many places do that (fewer than you might think). The carne seems to be the star of the show, and it was tasty. Ordered medium and came out closer to well, but still fully tender and juicy. Tortillas were fine, the roast corn and scallions were good, and the rice and beans held up their end of the bargain. Little bit of guac and fresca in the middle of the plate. They're working hard for your Mexican food dollar, and if you're anywhere nearby, they're easily worth a stop.

She took us to the back which featured a bar area and twinkling lights on the ceiling! Loved the plants and decors on the wall. Our server was so attentive and kind! Me and my girl friend's husband ordered the Mar Y Tierra, thinly cut steak with garlic shrimp and mushrooms on the slide with rice, refried beans, guacamole, pico de gallo and choice of corn or flour tortillas! The steak was my favorite -- so juicy, tender and flavorful! They have a great variety of drinks! I got the watermelon basil margarita. They also have Jarritos soda which, my girl friend tried the guava and it was good! You have to get here before peak or you may not get a parking spot. They do have parking at the back but I bet if it's a peak night, it'll be crowded. We will definitely be back next time!

I admit I often go back and forth between the two, but what stands out about this one is the friendly service and the salsa bar. Personally I could live on chips and a good salsa bar alone, but the food I get is always pretty good as well. It seems like salsa bars are mostly a thing of the past these days so do check this out while you can. Plenty of parking out front, but they are closed Mondays. We often come for lunch and the service is pretty fast. They understand our need to order, eat, pay and be back at the office before too much time has passed. They are always willing to accommodate special requests and often have food specials and a regular lunch menu. I've brought a handful of people here and everyone has been happy with their meals. I usually opt for a veggie burrito or fajitas. I'm sure I'll be back again sometime soon.

The restaurant is a bit old and chippy but gives a super homey vibe, and the people who worked there were so friendly and sweet as well. La Ruleta does not have a bar/lounge; however, beer, wine and spirits are available. Lunch specials run Mon-Fri from 11am-3pm. The menu is diverse, sure to satisfy everyone. We arrived at opening and during our visit, there was one single person doing everything: seating, cooking, taking orders, cleaning and cashing people out. Be patient. Enjoy your experience and company. While looking over the menu, we snacked on complimentary chips and salsa. The chips were light and crispy. The salsa was a bit runny/thin and mild for my tastes. My daughter ordered a Michelada for $12. I ordered a Bloody Mary for $8. The Bloody Mary was garnished with a single celery stick while lacking the standard garnishments such as olives, pepperoncini's, beans, asparagus etc. I chose the Mexican Scramble for $17. I chose fresh fruit as my side and declined the toast and/or tortilla. My daughter ordered the Chorizo Benedict for $14.50 with a side of fresh fruit. We ended our breakfast with a complimentary Fried Ice Cream thanks to spinning the wheel. Overall, we both enjoyed our meal choices. Staff was friendly and we weren't in a hurry so we didn't mind the slow service. My next order be will to-go to enjoy at home.
