So I was stuck in Pico Rivera for the Afterdark HorrorFest 4, and was starving. We didn't want to drive too far in the ghetto - I mean Pico Rivera, so we noticed this glorious sign saying "El Super Taco" - and I walked in and said "Congrats on being awarded the title of Super Taco!!! Keep up the good work!" So naturally I ordered the SUPER 3 taco and a coke special - for just $3.99 + tax. A few minutes later, my super tacos were ready to pick up from the counter. They looked a little funny, but hey, they're SUPER! I added a bit more of onions and cilantro, but alas, my heart dropped as I had the first bite. Nothing super about these tacos. I think they need to rename the place to "El OKAY TACO" because Super Taco is false advertisement. Mediocre Taco would also suffice. I guess I'm just used to the taco truck tacos in Pasadena, which are AWESOME. After I finished the non-super tacos, we decided we should finish the movie festival in Beverly Hills, as clearly Pico Rivera's best is a bad lunch elsewhere. read more

I was impressed with the quality and taste for the price I payed for everything. Spicy salsas that are pretty darn good! Place is FILTHY , My ex husband and I used to come here for the Super Nachos ..long time ago and it wasn't that bad then , I was in the neighborhood thought I'd go back for old times sake . OMG flies everywhere , no AC or even a fan it's 95 degrees out . I've only been here 4 times and have had the same thing each time: the chile relleno burrito! What can I say? I love chile rellenos, and when put inside a flour tortilla with hot beans, OMG so delicious! This burrito must be consumed hot and fresh! Although it does reheat well. It's packed with cheese...i'm a cheese freak. A little oily due to the cheese, but it doesn't matter, the chile has great char flavor. Try one for yourself! 1st time trying this place. There credit card machine wasn't working, so I had to go get cash from market across the way. I would have canceled my order instead but the food was already ready by time they couldn't fix machine. The carne asada was good until I found a rubber band in my green salsa. Best taco restaurant for the past 15 years. Although I grew up eating here, the food has been improving ever since. It's environment is very welcoming, the employees and owner are very nice, and the prices are excellent when grabbing a quick snack. I don't mind the lack of air conditioning that much since the food takes your mind right off it. The doors are open which brings in a nice breeze, energy saving too. Only suggestion they could improve is renovating the restrooms. A nice little tile, wall paint, and lighting would make it great. I see the place is closed for "repairs". I think its more for bad service, no air conditioner, Roaches, and dirty place! Although the food is good, the burritos, tacos, nachos, etc the owner was/is too lazy to keep the place clean. He just stands in the front taking orders but would not clean the dining area or take out the trash. Dirty dishes left to sit for hours by the trash area and just as bad too cheap to turn on the air conditioner for his customers and employees. You could see the employees sweating wondering if the sweat dripped on customers food.
