Excellent service, great salsa, negro modelo on draft, and the steak butrito and chicken quesadilla tasted homemade.

We Got seated right away but It took the hostess a little to long to take our order and get our food. My daughter loved their nachos but the cheese was a little saucy. My food was Luke warm and I would have liked it alittle warmer. The music was only Mexican and it was very loud. Over all it was okay and we might give them a second chance. read more

We just had our Sunday lunch and everyone in our party of 9 thought the food was delicious. The comlimentary chips and salsa were so good(I do not like a lot of cilantro). I had the burritto fiesta and it was the best I've had in a long time. The staff was amazing. The waitress was refilling drinks before we asked for them and the chips and salsa were brought out before we even were all seated. This is definitely the best Mexican Restaurant in Concord! After living in NM for a few years and having married a Texas native, I was reluctant to try a Mexican restaurant, specifically a chain, in the thriving metropolis of Concord NH--- to which I am a native. I've been to Margaritas a few times and have yet to have a decent experience so we were a little worried about what to expect. However, I was delightfully surprised with the quality of food and very impressed with the waitstaff during a small gathering at this location the day after Christmas. El Rodeo was recommended by couple of my friends, located where Outback Steakhouse used to be off exit 14. My wife and I stopped in for dinner recently and we were amazed at the food, service and the décor of the place. We enjoyed the COMPLEMENTARY chips and salsa and the free refills. I ordered the Arros Del Mar $15.99 plus tax), it was AMAZING! It came with huge portion of shrimp and scallops over Spanish rice and a salad within 10 minutes of ordering. The food was good but the service stunk i got a beef chimichanga which is suppose to have nacho cheese on top mine did not so i asked for a small scoop of cheese they came back 10 min. Later and said i would have to order a bowl of cheese dip if i wanted any cheese at all. After enduring smug looks from the manager woman i spoke to the hostess s h e explained that they have portion control well sorry to tell you that portion control is not to skimp on customers but to keep employees from stealing.i will never EVER return read more

By way of introduction, I grew up in the southwestern part of the US. Thus, I have very high standards when it comes to Mexican food. I have had authentic, I have had Tex-Mex, I have had Wal-Mart microwave burritos, and pretty much everything else. All that to say, I can appreciate a wide variety of Mexican food styles, but I know good Mexican food when I see/taste it. This is good Mexican food. This is the best Mexican food you will find for a longggggg way. Is there better in Santa Fe? Yep. But you're not there are you? Stop by and see if I'm wrong. This was the second time we have gone to this Mexican restaurant in Concord New Hampshire. Not only is the service fast but they are very polite. I ordered the steak fajitas and they were perfectly done with onions and peppers that were delicious. My husband had the Texas fajitas and he loved them. This says a lot as he's very picky The portions are huge. Not just the food but the drinks too. You definitely get your money's worth here. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Concord New Hampshire area looking for Mexican food read more

El Rodeo is a good Mexican restaurant with mostly authentic food, quick and friendly service. However I was extremely disappointed tonight. There was a special event going on (3rd anniversary celebration) so I expected to wait a bit longer than usual. Unfortunately tonight the service was horrendous and the food was average at best. Our waiter basically through the food at us, made us wait ridiculously long periods of time for everything and argued with my elderly father when he complained about the margarita he received. read more

This is possibly the worst Mexican food I've ever eaten at any restaurant, not to mention one that specializes in that cuisine. Your basic Tex-Mex food which is terribly overpriced for the amount. Passing through and ready for some Mexican food. Él Rodeo was a great find. The service was excellent by Moises, attentive, helpful and friendly. The Skinny Margarita had plenty of kick to it, tasty and not too acidic as they splash that one with soda water, muy bueno! The salsa was not memorable but had nice heat and was heavy on the tomatoes. Chips delicious, the Chile Relleno had great pepper flavor, with a very cheesy, egg flavor, quite good. We also had some soft chicken tacos, they were fairly bland, with not enough seasoning to the chicken, and a steam flour tortilla, I do prefer a street style taco, or at least give the tortilla a grill flavor, a bit anemic but we were still very happy. Large Dos XX Amber large draft was a steal of a price also. We were trying to stay light so no review on rice and beans, but we did not miss them with our choices. Hostess was cordial. Seats were too new and weird. That or weirdly designed. Service was excellent. We were thirsty and had our iced tea and water refilled regularly. I was disappointed by my burrito. Sure it had a side of rice and beans but that is not the point. I appreciated the hot food served on hot plates, but when I order a burrito (Chili Verde) I expect FIVE THINGS: meat, rice, beans, chilies, and sour cream or queso fresco. I got WAY overdone pork and that was it. It was just double the size of an enchilada (lunch). Kind of like pork jerky, but bland. The rice and beans were great. I think the place needs to settle in a bit and that I'm reviewing early. A friend felt very similarly that their food was bland. I counteracted this w/the great, somewhat salty, mild salsa. This place was off the hook. Having just moved here from Los Angeles and being Mexican as well, I felt sad not having my taco spot anymore. I live up in Claremont, N.H. and was down in Concord for training. I typed in Mexican food and they popped up asap. I decided to go with a coworker who had never had authentic Mexican food. We got there and our server was Willie, straight up vato from Azusa, CA. We hit it off right away and reminisced of the warm Cali weather (FYI, you can't say Cali unless you have lived there for five years and hate the place.) We spoke in Spanish and English, which I welcome the Spanish always having done it daily out in L.A. My Willie recommended the chicken Fajitas for my coworker and I of course had to get my Taco fix. I ordered the three taco plate with rice and beans. We ordered a couple of Chelas (that's brews in Mexican slang, use it to show off your awesomeness in a place like this) while we waited for our food. I kid you not, less than 10 min later and the food was on our table, nice and hot, and omg that smell from my aunt's kitchen... all up in my face. We dove in to the chow. I had ordered a taco de Asada (Steak), Carnitas (pulled Pork) and Chorizo (Mexican Sausage, similar to an Italian sweet sausage, but very greasy and spicy.) I liked them all except for the Chorizo, it was far to salty and watery to be considered Chorizo, but the rest was awesome. It was so awesome to have lime with my meal again. My girlfriend being white and from New Hampshire, and not liking lime, I rarely have it with my meals (On a side note, I am trying to convert her to be more Mexican... shhh don't tell her.. Muahaha!!!) After all was said and done, the meal was fantastic, my coworker was surprised by it and was a fan off the bat. He being from Vermont was not used to anything with any real good flavor. Our server Willie was very attentive and was a fantastic conversationalist. It was good to find Mexicans in New Hampshire, which means we are here for your jobs.. muahaha. Had lunch today and there were only about 5 people so not busy at 11:30am. The food was below average but better then nothing. I did then have to wait 15 minutes to get my check even after talking to the server twice. When I told the manager he just said they got busy. I tried to explain he said they were now busy and that was it. Try McD or something else but give this a pass and you will be happy you dd. read more

This place is very spacious and can accommodate large parties. I enjoyed the salsa and they give you plenty. It's flavorful but not spicy. It has an even balance of onion and cilantro. The chips are average and would be better if served warm. They give you a nice sized basket which is great because you don't run out. I ordered a side of guacamole and it was a creamy style. It wasn't anything to write home about and had minimal flavor. I prefer chunky style with flavoring of onion and cilantro. I ordered the Enchiladas Supremes. The portion was huge! The chicken was moist and the ground beef and pulled beef were decent. The bean and cheese enchiladas were good fillers. I liked that the plate was topped with sour cream and lettuce. The presentation was really nice and i really like their plates. I have had better enchilada sauce but this was still good and gave me my "Mexican food fix ". The service is beyond fast! I swear they bugged my table and knew my order before the server went back to the kitchen. I'm stuffed and will be back to try something new. They have a lot of options and it is very reasonably priced. They have some unique and creative nacho options on their menu that I want to try next time. read more

With three Mexican places to choose from in Concord, I choose this one when I want authentic Mexican food. Another place has good garlic nachos and the other a lively texmex atmosphere. I am a fan of all 3 for different reasons. El Rodeo reminds me of growing up in Manchester with La Carretta. The original margaritas are enormous and provide plenty of alcohol for the price. They used to be 1/2 off on Thursdays, making that the best Thirsty Thursday value in Concord. Now, they are $5 on Thursdays, still a good deal. If you are looking to try a unique, authentic dish try the Molcajete Azteca. It's a bowl of lots of different flavored meats for sharing. Really good. read more

Usually love this place.. the last few times we were sat by the bar by a gentleman completely untrained how to deal with customers. This particular time however...Our orders were rushed.. despite our long ridiculous wait for each order. Once we finally got our food and our drinks our food was cold and undesirable which is a total disappointment here as this place has always satisfied our needs. The waiter was rude when we asked for one refill on our drinks accusing us of being intoxicated based on my eyes despite the highly intoxicated guests sitting near us at the bar area screaming loudly while we were trying to have a relaxing night out. He ended up asking me if I indulged in anything before we came out to eat which I found downright insulting and only offered us half a margarita each despite the bar patrons binge drinking. We ended up just paying for the drinks and the appetizers. It's none of anyone's business how I live my life outside doing business with them.. do a better job training staff. If you're that worried about over serving people maybe the focus should be at the bar not the casual diners. . I will not come back here. We will go elsewhere for food. read more
