The food was decent. We asked for a side of corn and it tasted like it was out of a can. We waited 20 minutes for our check to come in. She didn't ask us if we wanted refills. Overall the service was very slow and we didn't see our waitress for 20 minutes straight. No tip. read more

We frequent this restaurant as it is one of the better Mexican restaurants in the area. It will be a long time before we go back as tonight they asked for our names & phone number for contact tracing. When we declined the hostess said it was required by the manager, so we left and went somewhere that appreciates us dining at their establishment. Maybe they'll rethink turning customers away for exercising their right not to go on someone's list only to later be harassed by an overreaching government "because you may have been exposed to a virus". We were a $60 check and are always generous to our servers. Bad decision. read more

With a party of 8 after waiting outside for over an hour we went to check on the status of our seating they could not seat us at all! They should have told us that in the first place! Very upset we do not intend on returning any time soon! read more

I have been here about 5 times lately, attempting to EST at the bar and 2x in the restaurant. I usually go out alone and El Rodeo treats me like I'm not even there. Each time I have to flag them down for anything and it's not like I don't spend good " because i do. Each time they make me feel like an outcast and they make me feel terrible. read more

WORST MEXICAN RESTAURANT. My girlfriend is allergic to cilantro and told our waitress when we arrived, the continued to bring her chips and salsa filled with cilantro. My girlfriend ordered a chicken fajita and was assured that it comes with no cilantro. It arrived and again it was covered in cilantro. I ordered a quesadilla which on the menu you says it comes with meat, cheese, lettuce, tomato, sour cream, and your choice of salsa ranchero or guacamole. When it arrived it was a little bit of cheese and a pile of dry meat and that was It! On top of it all when my girlfriend and I finished our sodas nobody bothered to refill them for 20 minutes until I had to waive a waiter down to ask for refills. I am extremely disappointed and will not be returning to this restaurant!!!! read more

The service was prompt and engaging. We had a House and Skinny margarita which was excellent and strong. The food was homemade and authentic. The chicken tortilla soup with rice was delicious! Fresh chicken and rich broth.... so good! We had nachos unlike any we've ever had. Worth the trip in for a real authentic meal. read more

I love this restaurant! I'm quite the food fanatic and I was pleasantly surprised when I first came to El Rodeo. Looking at it from the outside, I expected a run-of-the-mill chain. Thank goodness I was wrong. I've had to reassure myself 3-4 times of it's greatness with return trips. Great every time. My go-to dish is the Pina Loca. It's beyond delicious. Steak, chicken, shrimp, special sauce, topped with Oaxaca cheese, served with rice and avocado salad. All the meat is served in a hollowed out pineapple. The chips are fresh, the salsa is fresh and delicious. The salsa also isn't chunky which is fantastic because I hate chunks in my salsa. The guac also is fantastic. The house marg is decent as well. I like a strong margarita and expect a lower shelf tequila when I order house. Exactly what I got. They make them just right. The staff is pleasant, courteous and I've never had a problem with being ignored or being left waiting. There are only two cons that I have about this place. One: I hate the music. But after a marg or two, I don't even notice haha. Two: I dislike the fact that the beef is minced in the tacos and tortillas, etc. I prefer hearty chunks and the minced beef doesn't do it for me. There's always been seating available whenever I've gone. I suggest you stop by anytime! read more

My wife decided Mexican for Mother's Day. There are 5 or so choices in the general Concord area. We chose this one having had a fairly good experience there before. Put simply, we were VERY pleased with the entire experience tonight. From the time we got out of the car we were well attended to by very friendly and happy waitstaff. They even brought my wife a rose for Mother's Day. The food was very good. I had steak fajitas and my wife the spinach quesadilla. Recommend both. As a bonus the prices were quite reasonable. It was a beautiful evening and we took advantage of the outdoor seating which was very pleasant. All in all a very enjoyable time. read more

I usually come here for Mexican and LOVE IT! but this review is specifically for the employees. I locked my keys in my car and they were right there to offer assistance left and right which is SO rare in this day and age. they are always 100% polite and its like coming home to a family dinner every time. THANK YOU ALL! I would suggest this place to anyone, love love love!!!! read more

I'm a Texas gal and I was a little skeptical about going to a Mexican restaurant in Concord, NH. But I want to tell you that the poblano stuffed with cheese with a green sauce was authentic. The enchilada's stuffed with different meats served with beans and rice were delicious. I was almost taken back to my roots in Texas with this culinary experience. The margarita was the icing on the cake! The service was an A+. We'll be back again next time I'm in Concord. read more

Just got asked to the leave the restaurant by a waiter named Reece or I think that's what he said! We ordered two margaritas and dinner and we're there an hour an 15 minutes by the way there was a party of 5 next to us that came in at the same time and he didn't tell them to leave! I told him that I have been in the restaurant business for 40 years and I have never ever been asked to leave or tell anyone to leave, I told him that was very rude of him! He replied there was a reservation on the table and that it was a covid thing well if that was the case , he should have asked the other table to leave also! Plus might I add there are no signs saying this! I think he just wanted the table to make more money, but there was nobody waiting! Plenty of other places to go, you should learn how to treat customers better! Word of mouth is the worst review! read more

We LOVE this place.....clean, good food, pleasant & helpful staff. Their salsa has the perfect amount of heat & the chips are warm. Had a lot of different things on the menu & love them all but my favorite is the steak burrito! read more

Best Mexican food in the Concord area. The selection of fine Tequilas was most pleasing. Excellent service!

A restaurant I looked forward to going back to, before and after I lived in concord, 3 years ago I had a stroke which severely limited the use of my right arm and severely impeded my speech... well I went back to this restaurant yesterday and was appalled by the way I was treated, the anoxic stroke affected my speech severely and I am very self conscious of the way I speak... well when we went yesterday our waiter was rude from the second we walked in barely offering, drinks no water even until asked for when he refused to sell us beer I asked why, no reason was given, finally at the end of our meal we asked why and I was told I was belligerent um w one beer and a refusal of service, which is is not up to a waiter, I asked for a manager, who had conviently left to go to the store! Well as a now handicap person I felt extremely self conscious and now belittled! Never been so offended in my life, who was that waiter to discriminate against me... food might be great and I might have supported this place for years but I will Never go again and I have never been so humiliated as a handicap individual and the girls upfront were great but no management was available to even speak too... beyond offended!! I was absolutely appalled by the service and treatment received! If you are handicap know they discriminate and will ruin your meal, they did mine! read more

Quick on the chips tho. I'm reviewing this my friend we think it deserves a 3.5 so I'm giving 3 he's giving 4. It really deserves a 3.75 tho. Food was pretty good. read more

Best margaritas ever. I've traveled all over Texas, Florida, Caribbean and el rodeo serves the best margaritas I've ever had. I would highly recommend this place. Great food as well and the atmosphere is good. read more

We were a little hesitant to go for outdoor seating during this time but figured we would give it a go. We know many restaurants are struggling right now so we weren't expecting perfection. Called first to see if they had availability and she said come now we have an opening. We got there and didn't even have to wait they seated us right away. Waiter was great very helpful with the new "menu" you have to scan. Staff was friendly and attentive, food and drinks were perfect. We were very impressed we will be back soon! read more

Ok went here for the second time and I really enjoyed it - no hot dogs! but sat on the patio and had a beer and snacks .. a Dos Equis is a Dos Equis so and I'm giving a better rating for the SALSA! Loved it. And patio hang is always nice on a sunny day next time I'll try an entree and post another update! read more

Clean and casual environment. Food was pretty good, no serious complaints. I'm very fussy and hard to please when eating out. Little higher priced than their other two competitors in Manchester. I would go back if I was in the area and hungry. The best thing was my wife's company. read more

So pleasantly surprised by this little Mexican spot in strip mall land. Vegetarian section of the menu, accommodating to vegans (try a vegan version of the burrito wrap special), unlimited chips and (hot fresh w/cilantro) salsa. You could order a $70 margarita with Gran Patrón Burdeos if you're *really* feeling it. But I just went for a vegetarian chalupa with guac, enchilada roja, and rice and beans for $10. And it was great. A+, would stop on the way home from Canada again. read more

I've ordered take-out from El Rodeo twice in the last 3 weeks. Both times the food was good but both times there were food items missing from my order, and not just one item missing, several things missing EACH TIME! Do yourself a favor and wait until restaraunts open back up before getting food from El Rodeo. read more

Great atmosphere and even better people here! The food and the drinks are awesome and everyone who works here goes above and beyond. Ground beef tacos are really good! read more

It's about time we have a great alternative to the mediocre Mexican food available in Concord. If you have had the pleasure of eating at La Carretta in Manchester, Nashua or Derry you will find El Rodeo to be nearly identical. The food was delivered fast, accurate and most importantly delicious. We will be visiting El Rodeo many more times in the future. read more

I tried El Rodeo for dinner with my family and was quite disappointed. Being a vegetarian, I was initially excited to see that they had a section on the menu labeled "vegetarian". When I placed my order, I doubled checked with the waitress to make sure that the items order were indeed made without meat. Unfortunately, after checking with the kitchen I was told that the rice had chicken stock. Looking beyond the fact that they had these items listed under their vegetarian section, I ordered the bean burrito and enchilada instead. Upon my first bite, I tasted lard and meat stock. I once again questioned the waitress as to the ingredients, and sure enough she stated that the ingredients could have meat--so much for the vegetarian fare! I returned the plate, and wouldn't you know they still charged me for the meat-filled vegetarian entree! No worries--I won't be back. read more

This place is great! Bottomless chips and salsa, delicious enchiladas and burritos, I would pick this place over any other mexican place in Concord, hands down. I've eaten a lot of Mexican, and I live in Boston where there tons of options, but even compared to a lot of those places this restaurant is still worth 4 stars to me. It's a great addition to the restaurant selection along Loudon Road. read more

My husband and I tried El Rodeo one night after a long day and found it to be just ok. The hostess seated us right away and the service was great but the food was just so-so. I had the burrito and enchilada while my husband had the two taco combo plate. I found my dinner to be lacking in spice and lukewarm. My husband on the other hand said his tacos were ok. We found the complimentary chips and salsa was the one redeeming quality! Overall we would go back if we were in the area and wanted Mexican food but we wouldn't make a special trip. We'll stick to La Carreta or El Jimador! read more

have had better service in a jail in Mexico City. The food is good, better then the other places in Concord. The 1st time my waiter was horrible, rude. The server brought us the incorrect drink then refused to remove it from the bill despite it still being a full glass of nastiness. My 2nd time there, I thought how bad can it really be? Service was wretched. El Rodeo, we shall never meet again and I wish for your demise. Goodbye. read more

I stopped in to check out the menu before I was certain to take a seat. There were tostadas on the lunch menu and that made me want to sit and eat. It was very quiet. But at 2pm on a Monday, I wasn't surprised. I was able to seat myself near the bar in one of the booths. The atmosphere was really enjoyable with a nice color pallet and the pictures were a nice touch. Maria, my waitress came over with chips and salsa. The salsa was really good. I typically can't handle much spiciness but the salsa wasn't overly hot. It was probably the first salsa from a Mexican restaurant that I really enjoyed. I ordered the lunch special #10 and they were able to substitute the enchilada for another tostada, which was really nice for about a dollar more. I also ordered the house margarita and it was delicious. The quesadilla was alright and tasted like it was made with Kraft white American cheese. But the tostadas were perfect! I would absolutely come here again and try something else! read more

Attentive & very polite staff. Fresh, free & bottomless chips & salsa. My steak & cheese burrito was tasty, the rice & beans tasted like rice & beans should. Quick, quick service which was key since we have a very young lil girl who isn't super patient. read more

I go to this location often. Great food, great atmosphere and super friendly staff are consistent here. The chips and salsa are outstanding and the food always comes out fast, hot and delicious. The tamale is made by scratch in house and the chile relleno is super. This is definitely one of the more authentic Mexican restaurants in NH, and the only one in Concord. read more

Should be ZERO stars. This is the second time I have ordered take out from El Rodeo. Both times have been at least 50% wrong. Today's mistake translates to $14 pieces of beef in tortillas...no toppings and no sides followed my shrimp fajitas that contained some sort of white fish and no tortillas as well as missing tortillas in the steak fajitas. Double problematic as they originally short changed me in the tacos and had to cook it after I arrived. Triple so when I discovered the inaccuracy after I arrived home which is 30 mins away. Called and spoke with the hostess who wasn't exceptionally helpful and then thevmanager, Juan Carlos, who suggested that I drive 30 mins for him to process a refund or call back in Monday when he has time to deal with it. Well, Juan Carlos, that's not customer service. We won't be back. Ever. read more

Very good Mexican food. Best in the Concord area for sure. Extremely friendly staff. Skinny margaritas are the way to go. I'm rather surprised by some of the poor reviews. Somebody gets sick every time they eat here? You might strongly consider not coming back!! I would think my luck would have run out after the amount of times I have eaten here. I lived in Texas for 18 years and know how difficult it use to be finding decent Mexican food in New England. El Rodeo has certainly raised the bar for Mexican food in NH. read more

I would honestly have given this a better review if it weren't for the waitstaff that we had. It was the worst service that I have ever had! We were seated in the bar. Our server took forever to come and greet us and when he did he had no menus with him!!! I had to ask for both food and beverage menus! He dropped them off and literally ran! When we were able to finally flag him down to give him our order, I had to ask if there were any specials either food or beverage. I was advised no. He did not offer any suggestions. We ordered, our food arrived, it was very good! Our server did not once come over and ask us how our food was! Not once! He never refreshed our water, never refreshed our drinks, etc. we had to flag him down to get to go boxes and our check! I will probably visit again but will definitely avoid the waitstaff in the bar area!!! Oh and by the way....it was not busy! read more

We have been fans of LaCarreta, so when we heard that El Rodeo was very similar, it was good news. I couldn't tell the difference between the salsa and chips from LaC, which we really enjoy. Flavorful, not blazing! Service was efficient, quick and friendly. Hot foods were served hot. The chicken tostada tasted slightly different from LaC, though the size was the same, and quite similar - no obvious reason why it was priced at $1.75 more. The chicken tacos had all white meat, grilled, served with salsa fresco, rice & refried beans. The quality of the food is good and although a bit higher priced from LaC, is a good value. Many reasonably priced meals were offered, from 9.99-15.99. We noticed the kids menu was higher than most, at $5.99, beverages an additional $1.50. The decor is new and pleasant. We sat in a booth which was comfortable. A/C was quite chilly, so bring your polar fleece. We'll be back. read more

Love this place! Fish fajitas were delish. Kids loved theirs too. Reasonable prices, comfy booths, attentive & quick service.

I saw a review of another restaurant that referenced El Rodeo and it made me curious so I decided to wander over and it it a try. It was everything you'd expect from Mexican food in New Hampshire. My Margarita tasted of sour mix and simple syrup. My salsa was straight from the food processor: a bland, grainy, homogenous semi-fluid that tasted faintly of marinara. My refried beans were bland, soupy, gloppy, with no sign of actual beans anywhere. My carnitas were dry and stringy. Fresh from the microwave, I would guess. They were totally devoid of that luscious, sensuous carnitas magic that makes them such an experience. My flan was cooked far too long at too low of a temperature so it failed to develop the caramel layer while being grainy, hard, and gluey. To add insult to injury it was almost completely enveloped in Reddi-Whip, topped with (of all things) a from-the-jar maraschino cherry, and served at a ridiculously too-cold temperature that masked what little remaining custard flavor there was in the first place. The decor is somewhat shabby late 20th-century Outback Steakhouse drab. Not a big surprise, it was an Outback until El Rodeo opened about a year ago. I'll stick with Hermanos Cocina downtown, personally. read more
