Luckily he wasn't there too long, as brunch-time was over. We ordered Mango margaritas, chips & salsa, birria tacos, tinga taquitos, elote, and chicken enchiladas with green sauce. Every single thing was delicious. I was highly impressed. This place will definitely be in the rotation. If I didn't live so far away, I would go for happy hour.

If I could give it a 0 I would. This was our hang out spot up until now. We would always come here & would recommend this place to anyone that just wanted to have some drinks, sing some karaoke & just relax. But this time we ordered food worst mistake of my life I got so sick from the camarones aguachiles, they tasted really bad so I just ate the cucumbers surrounding the molcajete & yeah I should have just passed on the whole order. So my advice DO NOT ORDER the raw seafood. My brother ordered some oysters & they smelled so bad, mind you my brother is a chef so he knows his food, after complaining to the manager he called the cook from the back & she had the audacity to come out from the kitchen, taste the food & say "Mmmm The food is Good" like WTF who does that guacalas. Never going back there again. Drinks were really good but not worth the food poisining. We didn't even touch the oysters. The bad attitude from the staff just put the cherry on top of our experience. read more

The best street tacos in the valley hands down. I've tried and liked all of their options, but my favorite is the steak. Top shelf texture and flavor. Very friendly service and customers. I came here to watch the World Cup last year and was immediately accepted by everyone. It felt like I was with family from the first time. I don't usually drink but it's hard to say no when another diner offers to buy a round for everyone in the restaurant. Everything I've tried here is fantastic but stay away from the shrimp cocktail, unless you want to become a regular. It's that good! read more

Update: I've been coming to this family-owned establishment since their grand opening. I'm writing this review to give thanks for the great food and customer service, I have never had a bad experience. Food is ample, always fresh, and affordable compared to other related restaurants in the area. As I was browsing through the recent reviews, I noticed some reviewers that "spend their time shaming businesses" has targeted this restaurant for their amusement to tarnish its reputation. Everything about this place is fantastic; the food is excellent, the beautiful decor all over is from the sea down to the portholes, the place is always extremely clean, the owner makes you always feel at home and all the wait people are friendly/happy. This is a horrible place to eat mexican sea food. I came here on a Saturday which usually is suppose to be good the restaurant. There is karaoke the people who sing dont even sing they scream and shout it makes my ear drums tick !! And the waiter takes 30 minutes to come to my table and assist me. Best Mexican/Seafood Resturant I have been too. I always enjoy having the Steak Nachos. I would try to get something different every time I go to eat at El Rey Del Mar.
