If you are looking for fresh seafood this please is it. Their tostadas are so delicious and fresh. They don't come on top of a tostada but I'm sure you can ask for that they give you a place full of your choice of seafood and the tostadas on the side so you can make them on your own or eat it like that. Great flavor and so fresh. There shrimp tacos are delicious too very flavorful. Their octopus tacos are good too. Their fajitas are huge and delicious. Love there micheladas. On Saturdays they do have a dj at night so they have karaoke and a lot of good music. The staff is really friendly and attentive. Place is always cleaned and has great atmosphere. El Rey Del Mar used to be our go-to shrimp cocktail spot back then when they used to have it on their lunch special menu but It was so good that we used to go anytime for it, decided to go back for lunch on 10/26 to get their shrimp cocktail, we ordered and it was NOTHING like it used to be. Their shrimp cocktail used to be delicious, authentic and flavorful and I don't know what happened back there in the kitchen, someone's palate is not right because the cocktail was AWFUL-the color was super off..that should have been a red flag.. we had to send it back and ordered the shrimp ceviche tostada. The ceviche was mediocre. We were the only people there during prime lunch time for most of the time. Not only did the prices sky rocket, but the quality of the food and taste are also suffering. I went in today expecting to experience that same quality of service and food. Sadly I was hoodwinked and bamboozled. I started off by ordering a Michilada con Negra Modelo. The michilada was swimming in what tasted like cheap Climato and extremely high in sodium. In fact I would dare say sodium was the overarching theme to this meal. When my chicken enchilada plate came out, the rice I could tell was not fresh, rice was pilfered and microwaved, high in salt. The beans watery and runny, absolutely no flavor. The enchilada themselves were covered in so much crema and sauce, I couldn't tell what I was eating. The enchilada chicken meat was very tangy and high in sodium, unbearable. With this plate came some sort of tropical sweet salad comprising of onions and pineapple. All very off and inedible. The wait service was inhospitable never once asking how the meal was. And the kicker was this cost me 36 bucks! Robbed in plain sight. It's a travesty to the senses and to the palette. Please avoid. read more

Quite frankly, since the name does reference the sea I had to check out some seafood. Michelada w/Modelo Especial - Great tasting and a very decent size. Camarones al Mojo de Ajo - Basically a shrimp scampi dish with beans, rice, and a salad on the side. One of the best scampi type dishes I've had....and at a Mexican restaurant?
