The food wasn't tasty. I now see why there are only a few good reviews and few customers in there compared to other mariscos in the Indio area. Our entrées took a long time to come to us even though they were only a couple of tables with customers in there at the time. We had a shrimp ceviche that had a lot more cucumber and onions than shrimp. The fried fish was bland. I got a combo that had Carna asada and lobster tail. The carne asada Tasted good but it had the texture of soft beef jerky. Kind of chewy. Will never come back again.

It was refreshing to find seafood & other Mexican style food. The craving for Carne Asada Tortas & Shrimp Cocktails was satisfied at this cute little restaurant with a big bite of seafood variety. It's located in the Grocery Cardenas Shopping Center with ample parking. The server was friendly and played our favorite music.

Found this place on yelp, giant delicious pieces of shrimp and squid in the cocktail with tasty avocado. It was absolutely amazing. This place is a must try.

Great food and super friendly service. The shrimp cucarachas were soooo good that we went back the next day for more. If you're looking for authentic Mariscos, this is the spot to be!

Poor service everything came out one at a time took them over 1 hour to get all the orders out by the time my husband got his order everyone else was done eating while the waiter sat on a table next to us with her child and another waiter chatting away.. mind you the restaurant was empty... probably another indicator as to why we shouldn't have ate here.. definitely do not recommend will not be coming back!! I mean at least come to the table and offer us a refill or another beer.. if waiting over an hour and food coming out at different times is not your thing then this place is not the place for you!! Food was good though at least the coctel and the tower de mariscos the camarones al mojo de ajo had 5 small camarones And a ton of big chunky garlic..

Nasty over cooked food super bad service

We picked a corner window table and were served immediately with cold water and the complimentary chips and salsas. The chips are fresh and dusted with a paprika/salt powder. The salsas are outstanding. One a bit spicier than the other but nearly impossible to choose a favorite. We ordered the chicken and steak fajita combination with black beans and rice with corn tortillas. The fajita arrives on a sizzling cast iron skillet with generous amounts of grilled onions and carmelized red peppers. We rounded our order out with their house guacamole. The guacamole, itself, could have used a bit more salt but the perfectly salted chips helped solve that. The margaritas are dangerously good. And the mix they use tastes fresh and house made. I loved that these were served with dehydrated lemon wheels and a sprig of thyme. Pablo took excellent care of us and we will 100% return.

I had the chicken enchiladas in a green sauce. Not a big portion and the sauce for me was very bitter. They do have a very spicy chili Macha that made it a little more flavorful. My husband had an enchilada and a shredded beef taco. Not a fan of the enchilada sauce, but the taco was very good. Would I come here again? Probably not but the service was excellent.

Which we didn't and were informed that we can be seated at 8:30pm. They had a variety of items to choose from. We started with a rainbow roll. I had the seafood linguine and my friend had the bone-in ribeye with a baked potatoe and asparagus. All was delicious. We had coffees & waters with our meals. Liked that we both had our own small coffee kettles. No room for dessert. Service was very quick and friendly. I took a point off due to a loaf of bread that was served in a bag. We thought this was weird. Since all the restaurants we dine at serve bread in a basket covered. So I had to ask about the loaf of bread which I was informed is bought at a bakery. If you're in the area I suggest giving this place a try. Highly recommend making a reservation in advance .

During our most recent visit, we enjoyed the seasonal Peach Blossom Cosmo cocktails, as well as the crispy calamari and Caesar salad. For our main courses, we ordered the braised short ribs and the pan-seared sea bass. Unfortunately, the sea bass did not taste fresh. We alerted our server, who promptly took it back to the kitchen, and we ordered a second braised short ribs instead, which was perfect. While this was a rare issue, we wanted to share our feedback. We look forward to returning soon, just as we have for all these years.

I erroneously assumed spaghetti flavored with garlic, white wine, butter, herbs, & preserved lemon would be delicious. Large, tough (& again, tasteless) prawns topped the bowl of noodles that seem to stick together from a lack of sauce. Our gracious waitress removed the dish from our bill after seeing it had barely been touched. Her efforts did not go unnoticed; we generously tipped her for taking the initiative to rectify an unsatisfactory situation. We sat on the covered patio facing the giant rock formation; a unique dining experience, but one that felt Disney-ish rather than elegant. La Quinta Cliffhouse gets a hard pass from me.

Obviously not a popular lunch spot but maybe that would mean we'd get great service! First impression , the place is neat but kinda shoddy on the outside. We were met with a very strong "old" smell on the inside. Perhaps mildew or mold issues? Darkish interior but seemed neat. It looked like 1 person handling all the front waitressing and cashiering. She was polite and relatively quick with our order of nice cold beer in a frosted glass. A positive sign and the food arrived relatively quickly. Again we were the only patrons that we saw. The chili relleno was meh. Absolutely nothing special . Perfect match to the meh cheese enchilada. Beans were not our cup of tea. Much too blended. No texture or flavor at all. The taco salad with chili Colorado was equally as underwhelming. There was a decent amount of chili in my salad. Sadly it was horrible. Tasted old , dry and mushy. Quite a unique combination of textures and flavors that were not good. Decent sized but could have done with a lot more fresh vegetables. Perhaps added cheese or maybe elote? Really needs work. I have read all the fantastic 4 star reviews and just don't get it. Maybe it's a better fit for the Indio nightlife and not the daytime crowd
