These Yelpers calling the bartenders rude should probably stay home and bake cookies. This place gets busy and would be even better if they weren't there clogging up the toilets. A GREAT bar to chat up local artists and make new friends. Reasonable prices on beer and wine for Los Angeles, and they have snacks too! If you're not a spoiled brat you will most likely have a good time. Sorry to be harsh, but I've been coming here for over a decade and am a little protective of this local little gem.

Great time! The hot dog with the works was surprisingly very spicy, but very good! Cleaned out the sinuses good!

Hotdog for $5 and a nice glass of orange wine - it works, I promise.

Music was a great volume to have conversation but still enjoy. Really extensive selection of wine. For any non-wine drinkers, there's also beer selections and non alcoholic options. Small/intimate type space, a bit dimly lit but good vibe to it. Hit it up on a Thursday night and no complaints. Bartenders were really attentive as soon as I walked in. Will be back!

They do live up to their reputation of hostile service. With so many other great local spots, I won't be going back.

The patio was too overpacked for me and a drunk girl stole a ball from the pool table my friends and I were on. She ran out without even a glance from security, insanely oddball behavior. Everyone I talked to was a transplant either looking for drinks, coke, or women. Was not chill. Trying to make the most of the night, we decide to hit the Photo Booth before leaving. What do you know, the machine didn't work. Last call here was quite odd. They lock the entry and force you to leave through the patio. They found us a seat w/o a proper reservation, and the place was lively. Ordered the hummingbird, which was unexpectedly herbaceous. Tangy with smoky undertones. Refreshing. I quite enjoyed it. The husband got the bellhop, which he said was fine but not mind blowing. We ordered the Chicken liver toast, fried mozzarella, and chicken sandwich hot and spicy. The husband got the mussels. Chicken liver toast was served w mustard seed and berry compote, which highlighted the buttery fatness. The toast wasn't crunchy and a bit difficult to cut, but the pickled vegetables were fantastic. The fried mozzarella was simple and decently executed, somewhat generic and forgettable. Better than standard mozzarella sticks. The fries were crisp and perfectly seasoned. A+. That chicken sandwich was toothsome and juicy. Def worthy of a repeat visit. I'll be thinking abt this sandwich for a while. Of his mussels, the husband appreciated the spicy broth but was underwhelmed by the crusty bread it accompanied. I had a wonderful experience personally, hence the 4 stars, but proceed with caution.

He was friendly, welcoming, and gave us a great first impression. However, our experience afterward was disappointing. We waited nearly 20 minutes to be seated and another 20-30 minutes before anyone took our order. I understand that restaurants get busy, and we were trying to be patient because we could see the staff was overwhelmed. When we finally got our beer, I told our server, Noah, that I could pour it myself if that would help. Instead of explaining the situation politely, he responded with attitude and said, "You know I can't serve you guys, right?" I apologized, but then he told us, "Nah, you guys have to leave." This was frustrating after waiting so long just to place an order. We were never rude or disrespectful to the staff, so the interaction felt unprofessional and unnecessary. I completely understand being busy, but customer service should still be respectful. Unfortunately, this experience left a negative impression despite the great welcome we received from Nate.
