I was on my way home and I was feeling hungry. I wanted to get something quick and healthy. So I decided to come to this Pollo Loco. Staff: I went by their Drive Thru and I was greeted by a pleasant employee. I placed my order and when I get to the window the employee was very cheerful, pleasant and courteous. They gave me my total, I paid and they went to get my food. They hand over my bag of yummy chicken and sides. They were so happy and cheerful that it made my day!! They even said "have a great day!" Now this is what I call great customer service!! I hope that the manger sees this review and gives the pleasant, cheerful and courteous employee a pay raise please!! We need more humans like them!! The food: The chicken was well seasoned and cooked!! The sides were delicious!! Especially the Cole slaw!! I noticed that other fast food restaurants have day old cole slaw because it tastes a bit fermented. NOT HERE!! Their cole slaw tasted fresh and delicious!! Thank you! The conclusion: I've gone to other Pollo Locos in Long Beach and Los Angeles (by USC no longer there and the one on Vermont & Slauson to name a few), their customer service is only satisfactory. Terrible experience. Waited 40 minutes to receive my order because they were stating they ran out of chicken when I placed my order at 5pm. Mind you that is dinner time. Manager and staff need to keep track of their time, customer service, and food inventory. So upsetting that other customers that came after me were receiving their food sooner because the employees excuse was that my order was too big. In addition, the receipt didn't have the store number or the survey ID to informed corporate of the food they provided at this specific store. The interesting this was they strategically placed good looking chicken on the top and placed the burnt chicken beneath. Literally never buy pollo loco. The one time I decide to get some it's an utter disappointment. The Keto burrito is supposed to weigh 11Oz. When I got home I decided to weigh it because it felt small. And to my surprise it falls 3 oz short. The chipotle chicken burrito is suppose to weight about 19oz. Mine weighed 13oz or so. I just choked on charcoal.. I don't know what they were actually .. However, It definitely was not edible but I swallowed one half and was able to spit out the rest. It automatically gave me heart burn and I've never had heart burn before (asked a friend previous to this incident what it felt like because she had it daily, burning in the chest) I only have pictures of the little pieces that were left but there were two larger pieces one I caught after I had half way devoured the first piece. I love Pollo loco but this location has me upset. FOOD at this location isn't made by the book. Portions are wrong in every way. SERVICE at this location is unacceptable, I asked for extra beans on a salad, which should be no more than 1 more scoop, when I arrived at home, it seemed as if they exaggerated with the extra beans. My bowl was 80% beans and 10% salad, the rest was bean soup. It literally felt like I was slurping my salad. Hands down one of the worst service in my life. Not worth your money. This pollo loco always pisses me off. Somehow they always find a way to fuck up my order. I usually don't say anything and just go about my way, however today, after waiting 25 mins in the damn drive thru lane they give me my order incorrectly. For starters I ask for a bottled water as my drink and they don't have any. I ask for salsa roja and instead they give me two other types of salsa I didn't ask for and no salsa roja. Then to make it worst they don't give tortillas. Of all days that I'm in a rush they manage to fuck things up and piss me off because they almost make me late to a meeting with their slow ass drive thru. They need to get some new management in there to get this store performing at a higher level. Worst part about this is that I own pollo loco stock and it irks me to invest in companies that give crappy customer service. Then to top it off I call the store to ask for the manager and it take like 20 rings before someone even answers to tell me the manager is on break. That probably explains why they're all screwed up. As I was poring my sauces on it I spotted a plastic top that appears to be from their sour cream bottle or bag (whatever they use). I had a horrible experience, I ordered a Double chicken tostada salad bowl. the workers are rude, she slammed the window in my face without even giving any pico de Gallo or fork and napkins. Was hoping I would drive away but I didn't when she came back to the window 3 whole minutes later I could tell she was upset I didn't drive away.
