Where do I start? The portion of the tostada was disappointing. The amount of chicken provided as a double was surprising to say the least. The expectation was to have more chicken I guess double must mean double in size not portion as the chicken was cut into large cubes. Besides the food disappointment the restaurant itself was filthy. Trash around the dining room area. Leakage coming from the trash can into the entryway. No pride whatsoever in the appearance inside. I gave two stars because the flavor was very good but that is the only thing to save from being a 1-star review. Overall spending over $30 for a tostada, burrito and two drinks only to be eating in an unkept establishment won't have me going back again. read more

Kept getting cut off when trying to speak and when I said if I could have salsas she cut me off and said "in the bag" and closed the window and I checked the bag there was only one salsa. What am I gonna do with only one salsa like really? I've been to this location before and was happy with it. Not this time. I placed an order for a single meal, no substitutions or special instructions. It included chicken breasts. Get to the window and pay. A few minutes later, the worker told me they were out of breasts. Really? So they would give me thighs. I love thighs, but I ordered white meat intentionally. Then another person hands me the bag and says he included an extra piece of chicken because their microwave () wasn't working and the broccoli in my side wasn't fully cooked. He appeared to be the manager on duty but not entirely sure. My family and I placed a large online order for pick up. My grandparents had a bunch of special requests for the items they ordered. One star seems to good. So frustrating. When you get food for an 89 year young mother, and it is one of the few things left to really appreciate, what happened the other day, was just awful. We started going to the Mooney Blvd, Pollo Loco, in visalia, due to ads. Normally we share a double chicken tostada salad. There have been several times, that I was not given my points on my app, and when I shared with the manager, she said sorry, nothing she could do. Then on another occasion, I was told, the site was being updated, to bad, again, nothing they could do. So we started eating there less, and a day ago, was the worst. I drove through, and at the speaker, I asked how many calories in a certain new taco they had and was told, we dont know, sorry. Like , it didnt occur to them if calorie counting that if they didnt know something , they should find out. Then I ordered my usual double chicken tostada, and two small carbon tacos. I asked for ranch, and extra hot sauce and a few mild. I get home and there is the wrong salad, with the wrong dressing, and no extra sauces. So I call and drive all the way back. Heading into the store, I stand at the counter and the lady does not help me until i move, to the other side of the counter. First I am asked if I know the difference between the tostada, etc, and i say, yeah, I have ordered them numerous times. Then? I mention that with driving all the way home and back, the tacos are now cold, could i please have those replaced. The woman helping me acted like I didn't ask. So she took the wrong salad out of my hand and threw the other one in. I had to ask for the ranch again, and left with what i thought was the right salad, and two cold tacos, and quite the attitude. Next? I get home, cut the salad in half, and discover, that the chicken is literally charcoal. I guess we were punished and mother couldn't eat her half. I guess it was to complicated to simply fill an order. We will not be visiting this one every again, and its so sad. Corporate should check in on it, like secret shopper. I ordered two tacos today. When the cashier asked the girl who made my tacos if they had no salsa like I had requested, the employee told the other employee no and laughed. Then continued to give me the tacos anyways even tho they both knew they were made incorrectly. So rude! I was in the drive thru so I had to go inside and have them remade. When I told the manager she didn't seem to care. I'm allergic to tomatoes so if I would have ate them I could have sued them. Be better, do better el polo loco! The new restaurant on Rigging is where I went to and I got a classic burrito combo and I ordered it with breast meat and no rice. It was pretty good until the last couple of bites I bit into a rubbery big piece of skin no chicken attached I don't eat the skin so it grossed me out a bit but when I tried to give it to my dog who was sharing my burrito with took a sniff and walked away I hope that I don't get sick because now I'm wondering what else was in my burrito and for the record I will not be going to that restaurant again read more

I remember my first visit to El Pollo back in the 80's, the chicken was so good and juicy. But now, it's so disappointing. I ordered the 2-piece leg and thigh and added an additional thigh, I kid you not, it looked like they cut one whole thigh into 2 pieces and threw them in with a leg. I was completely shocked! It's bad enough they cheated me out a piece of chicken, but they were dry and burnt. Like a lot of good fast food places from the past, it's time to let them go. I'm a fan of this El Pollo Loco location. I am happy to report that I have not had the experiences that other "Yelpers" have had. This is fast food, not fine dining. EPL offers much better options for cleaner eating than most other fast food chicken joints. The menu also boasts Keto friendly options for us Keto dieters such as the "World's First Keto Taco" & "World's First Keto Burrito ". My current go to item is the Double Chicken Avocado bowl. Service could be friendlier, but is par for the area. Limited indoor pickup, so the drive-thru is pretty popular, although quickly moving. read more

So I ordered at the drive up a 2 peace meal breast and wing, flower tortillas and be sure I get a Serrano chilli , side salad and mac & cheese. Once I get my order I ask for some extra salad dressing. Well When I got home with dinner the kids wouldn't eat the chicken it was so burnt you had to peel the burnt parts off. what meat that was left was very little and I got 14 piece meal it was all like that .the mac and cheese was good the rice was good as was the soup but the salsa was going bad you can taste the bitter tomatoes so I trashed it.im not serving it to family and we all get sick .but I wasnt too happy about the chicken I was hungry and ended up making something at home. The food quality is average for the price. I would agree the quality of the food served has declined over time. The service is good, but you just need to make sure they give you napkins, straws, sauces before you leave the counter. Finally the sanitation of this location is bad starting with a dirty hand smears on the front doors.
