We ordered 2 chicken carbon taco meals and while it was ready super quick the tortillas were hard as if they weren't fresh which is not the biggest issue. El Pollo is a favorite and food is always great, but tonight I had a pretty disappointing visit. Got food through the drive thru and I think it would be nice for server to ask in the future if customer have a rewards program, so people can enjoy the rewards and get to come back. She took my credit card and I showed my rewards: birthday discount and discounted chicken burrito but she said she charged me already and don't want to cancel it and do it again. Staff also did not ask to scan my rewards on app so I can earn points:(( knowing that I can't add points after the fact now. So the chicken burrito reward expires today, and hopefully I get to enjoy my $5 birthday if I go back before it expires ( we don't eat chicken everyday). El Pollo afterall is not cheap at all. I just felt there was Just no consideration. The lady just said she can't do anything and cannot cancel and start all over again, unless I go in ( not with kids in the car). This location is conveniently located right off the 215 fwy east of Nuevo exit next to Sizzler with drive-thru and plenty of parking since it's in a shopping center. I've stopped here several times as I pass by and have always been satisfied with their service specifically because they always get my order right which is not common in my experience with other restaurants. Staff is friendly and very efficient specially during rush/lunch time in drive-thru. I tried their 'Grande Avocado Chicken Bowl' and tasted really good with fresh ingredients and perfectly grilled chicken. Overall I'm happy with this location and will definitely stop by again when I'm nearby. read more

I typically enjoy this location. While waiting for my food I noticed several delivery drivers pick up food. The workers from El Pollo Loco kept telling the delivery drivers to pour the fountain drinks for their orders. The delivery drivers didn't wash their hands. Went tonight 8/4/22 and ordered a Double Chicken Tostada Salad ... NEVER AGAIN ... First of all prices went up and I understand that everything cost more but the salad somehow shrunk since the last time I had It. At the window the girl must have called out 3 other orders to me before she got it right. I ordered two things and was told to go around to the front for a small five dollar Pollo bowl and one taco I told the girl there's no parking in the front everything is jam packed she said well do you mind going back through the drive-through and I told her no the line was longer than the building so I pulled around to the front like she wanted me to. The employees at this restaurant are very sloppy and uncaring in how they package your order. Sauce containers are not closed properly so they spill over and create a mess. They know it has spilled but they still give you the mess. I can verify how I know. On my receipt it states 4 red sauce and 2 avocado sauce. I completely agree with some of the reviews. There needs to be better customer service from the person at the window. Most the time when I've ordered and asked for salsa roja or creamy cilantro, have checked my bag, did not receive and ask for it seems the young lady at the window always gets bothered by it. I've gotten eyes rolled or sighs. Why not charge for them if it's so bothersome. Or charge for them so they are actually provided when requested ahead of time. Went here a few days ago and ordered through the drive through, as I was eating my food I felt something hard. I thought it was a piece of chicken but when I saw it it was a piece of tie from the cilantro I assume. We've had bad customer service before but I never shared on here until now. There is an older lady that works there and she is always rude. Honestly after that trash came out in my food I don't feel like going back. Do they even wash their cilantro? I checked the salsa and it definitely smelled like the avocados the used were bad. Unfortunately it was too late I had to throw my whole meal away. Came here last night and I ordered a bunch of food. Pretty disappointing when unlike other El Pollo Loco's my chicken tostada didn't come with the cilantro dressing and my soft shell taco was just chicken with no onions or cilantro. Some things are just pure laziness. Obviously you only have two stars because everyone goes to Juan Pollo across the street. I will make sure that I continue to go to Juan Pollo when in Perris too. Dined in. The place was filthy, had a horrible smell and there were flies. There was outside seating but it was over 100 degrees outside, so that clearly was not an option. We looked for a booth to sit at and they were all either taken or filthy. While we waited for our food, we asked a staff member if they could clean one of the booths for us. After about 10 mins we got our food and we waited about 5 more mins and the staff member just watched us as we stood there waiting for someone to clean up the tables. We decided to sit on a handicap table, which I still had to wipe crumbs off of. We quickly ate our food and left. Someone actually came out to wipe the tables after 25 of initially asking them! Whomever it was that was working the drive-thru around 9:45p this evening was VERY RUDE AND UNPLEASANT! She was even talking on the phone with earbuds (of some sort) and treated us like we were bothering her. She even gave us attitude for inquiring about our order. She didn't say "thank you" or "you're welcome". She didn't smile. She made me feel as if 'WE' came to the wrong EPL. Like we were in the wrong neighborhood. WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING.
