Chicken Nachos $5 and comes with a drink...not bad
    Tish P.

I tried to eat here once and they really annoyed me. I ordered in the app only to get there, wait curbside, and be told they were out of what I wanted! Mannnn, if y'all don't stop wasting my damn gas!!! But this time, $5 off coupon hit my inbox for my birthday and I said what the hell! I ordered the $5 chicken nachos and upgraded the drink to large for $0.20! So for a couple of dimes, I had a pretty hearty dinner. The nachos had some heat but they weren't nearly as hot as I like my food. The chicken had a good taste, and the chos came with queso, beans, sour cream, pico, guac...I mean, I would actually pay $5 for that AND A DRANK! They also gave me extra chips, pico and green guac looking sauce. I fcks with it...y'all chicken meals break the bank though!

It was very delicious. I've been wanting to eat here because I tried a couple bites of someone else's order a while ago and I thought it was exceptionally good. So I went, it did not disappoint. Everything was fresh and really satisfying. I will be back when I want a quick alternative to all the other local Mexican restaurants.

I placed a huge order online only to get an email that said they did not get it. So I have to do it again and called the manager - when I got there, the order was not yet ready and they told me its gonna take another 10 mins - we waited and it took 50 mins. I love the food here but the service is crazy - there were customers going in and was not even acknowledged, so they wait and no one comes to the counter and they end up leaving - the restaurant was dirty . i was surprised because I usually have food delivered or drive thru , I am satisfied with the food but was surprised by the service inside.

This is how my double chopped salad came Just a little meat and lettuce nothing else

Ok so i decided to order el pollo loco a few nights ago and its not around the corner from my house but i wanted something different especially after seeing the salad online, well i showed up an hour before close and ordered 3 different meals and the worker actually repeated the order back at the drive through because the inside was closed at 8pm with people still inside eating. I ordered and make it home and my son's quesadillas was a kids portion and cold and dry with hardly any meat and my husbands 2 piece chicken order was incorrect and the portion size was enough for my 2 year old granddaughter! My salad was NOTHING AT ALL like it was on the picture NO DRESSING! NO UTENSILS! It was only wilted lettuce and a few pieces of cold dry chicken! So naturally i was pissed! When your hungry you expect to get good food and the fact that i had to drive a little far really made me mad so i called and complained and the manager told me to come in to replace the order and normally I wouldn't go back! But i did this time only because it was such a disaster that i needed them to REDEEM themselves! So i go back 2 days later (7-12-23) and go inside now because its actually open and the girl at the register acted like she was scared to talk or she didn't understand what i was saying and she just looked at me! For a second i thought i was talking to a non working robot! Finally the manager Greg walked up and took and replaced my new order, which he was polite and gave me no issues and now im waiting for my food and its hot in there seems like the ac was off! But once my food was ready another guy who works there literally threw my food bag on the counter and walked off not letting me know it was ready and he seemed very rude!!! not to mention when i walked in at 1st I was not acknowledge! No one said a word! No one seemed happy! The energy is put off to the customers so now i am concerned about the quality control of the food. Small portions and my salad STILL was not right! ( what's so hard about making a salad) I was almost scared to eat it after seeing the staff acting like invasion of the body snatchers! NO PERSONALITY! I can definitely tell the food is made by workers that just need a check! There is no care or love put into this food at all! I will not ever go back or recommend! The lack of care and energy and cleanliness (food safety) of the establishment is a No for me! And i am only giving 2 stars because of the manager Greg! Who does seems overwhelmed because he is doing everything from what i can tell. The owner of this location needs to pay attention and regroup! NO REDEMPTION!!!!

My son and I went into this EL Pollo Loco, noticed the attended behind the counter was talking it up with another co worker, was more concerned with that conversation than serving customers. She is a short, small, petite black female, shoulder length black hair just over her ears, about 20-25 years old, with a heavily tattooed appearance especially around her neck. She does have a nice smile. She finally decided to come over to the counter to take our order. She was cocky, obnoxious, full of herself in her own presence, appearing to be annoyed with our presence. I placed my order for a Classic Chicken Tostada bowl, with a chicken blanco burrito asking for a regular cup for ice water. This woman, placed a small clear child's size SIPPY CUP down in front of me. I asked for a regular size cup for my ice water. She responded "I don't THINK it's allowed" refusing to provide a plain paper cup to a disabled senior citizen standing before her with a cane and severely limited ambulatory ability, my son standing next to me to support me to prevent a fall. Her inability to "THINK", cost your establishment over $91 sales for in-house dining and a take out order. This young tattooed black female is an arrogant employee of your EL Pollo Loco dining facility. SHE IS NOT CUSTOMER FOCUSED. My son and I went to another El Pollo Loco facility where the staff there are CUSTOMER FOCUSED, KIND, CARING and more importantly are of the ability to "THINK". Your second facility was more responsive and customer care oriented, providing an old disabled man's need of an inexpensive regular sized paper cup for ice water to avoid multiple trips to the fountain and possible fall. JUAN who promptly served me with a regular sized paper cup for my indoor dining ($29.30 meal) later accepted our take orders ($62.32). JUAN was a nice caring young man, friendly, promptly greeted my son and I, taking our order, while providing a decent paper cup as requested for my ice water. My son and I had a fine meal, took home some great eats with our take out orders to our families in separate take out bags. My wife, my son, his wife and his two young boys enjoyed these 8 piece family meals. I suffer from severe heart disease and from severe vestibular disease affecting my balance and depth of field, requiring routine ambulatory support. None of this mattered to your Spring Cypress female employee counter attendant. When she refused to provide a regular paper cup, I told her she screwed up. She then promptly and arrogantly quipped "Have a nice day" as my son and I departed for another El Pollo Loco Restraunt. This ONE STAR REVIEW is for the CYPRESS ROSE HILL Rd EL POLLO LOCO Restaurant only.

$16.87 for two "burritos" but tacos ? Not worth it!

I order a Chicken Avocado BURRITO and what I got were more like tacos with old brown lettuce? What a shame!! Extremely disappointed on this restaurant! Wish I could give 0 star, deserves less than that. Don't bother coming here, they don't care about you.

The tenders pieces were huge and there was the perfect ratio of fries to Mac. Overall, I would give the Urban fries a 3.5/5. The chicken itself was a bit on the dryer side and some pieces were tough, but the coating was nice and crispy. Furthermore, the fries were pretty standard with some crisp and pretty thick. The best part was the Mac n cheese which was really creamy. I was a bit on the fence on if I like the flavor of the sauce they used though. The Bird Sauce was really sweet and reminded me of a honey mustard. I personally thought it was a bit too sweet but the more I ate it the less I was opposed to it. Also, the Nashville Hot didn't have any heat at all and I wish there was more overall flavor. I think I would come back to try a different flavor and maybe up the spice level. Service/Ambiance: Service was fine and there was quite a wait for the food (but that just means it's super fresh). The vibe inside reminded me of a fast food restaurant where you order and then never really talk to the staff again.

I'm the one that was mistaken. With a Caniac craving, I arrived past 9pm on a Sunday to the busiest Cane's I've ever see. The drive-thru line wrapped around the building. The parking lot remained full. The amount of vehicles circling the building hoping to find a spot caused mild traffic disturbances. Waze marked the lead in road as red for standstill traffic- okay, I'm kidding with that one, but I wouldn't be surprised if they did. Among all of this, the employees of Cane's stayed strong. Like a well oiled machine they powered through the endless line. They were efficient for sure, but I was most impressed by their care and customer service. This team is truly running like a well oiled machine. As far as the food, Cane's is Cane's. If you're new to this concept, you really only need to keep two things in mind. 1. They serve 4 main items, fried chicken tenders (yes, only tenders), crinkle fries, coleslaw, and Texas toast. These 4 items are offered in a handful of variations and combinations. 2. No matter which combo tickles your pickle, enjoy it with Cane's sauce. In addition to a basic requirement for the chicken, it also pairs well with the fries, their Texas toast, and most any protein or savory bread you have lying around the house. Long story short, if you can handle the crowds, you've earned your chicken.

I ordered the Lomo Saltado--tender beef sautéed with red onions and Roma tomatoes, served with white rice and crispy French fries, topped with a touch of cilantro. It was very flavorful and satisfying. I also had a cup of chicha, the traditional drink made from purple Peruvian corn, and it was nicely done. We also tried the Brasa Burrito, which was packed with pulled rotisserie chicken, queso fresco, green onions, cilantro aioli, and a bit of fried rice (chaufa-style), along with black beans, Mexican crema, crispy onions, romaine lettuce, and Roma tomatoes on the side, plus your choice of sauce. A unique and tasty combination. The rotisserie chicken itself was excellent--juicy and well-seasoned. We had a half chicken (all white meat) served with rice chaufa and French fries, which made for a hearty and delicious meal. Our server was attentive throughout, checking in on us and making sure we had everything we needed. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised. While it wasn't as authentic as what I'm used to, it was still a very enjoyable meal--especially for Texas.

This place brings authentic Deep South flavors and hospitality straight to Texas, and every single bite reminded me of home-cooked meals from down South. The signature chicken tenders were crispy on the outside, juicy and tender inside, and seasoned to perfection, easily some of the best I've had anywhere. Paired with their seasoned dirty rice, their fluffy, buttery biscuits and perfectly seasoned french fries, it was a match made in heaven. I also had to try the famous Bo Berry biscuit, and it did not disappoint, warm, sweet, bursting with blueberries and that classic glaze that makes it impossible to stop at just one. Of course, no Southern meal is complete without a tall cup of sweet tea, and theirs was exactly what I hoped for: strong, refreshing, and perfectly sweetened like grandma made it. The portions are generous, the food is fresh and full of flavor, and the whole experience felt like a warm Southern welcome. Thus, we were literally in shock when we entered into the venue and realized that it is a SIT-DOWN RESTAURANT! I didn't think it would be fast food style like Popeye's or KFC. However, I imagined it would be along the line of Cane's, but a little more upscale. My first reaction was, "Aww man, I'm going to have to pay more for something that is already sort of pricey." I'm thinking in terms of tipping. HOWEVER, I actually had a really great time here. The menu is simple, yet unique simultaneously with monthly special burgers and Korean inspired flavors. I LOVE the fact that you can substitute the crispy chicken for GRILLED. I'm all about eating out, enjoying food, but also trying to select better options. Healthy eating doesn't mean boring! This place seems like an American/Korean fusion restaurant, or an Americanized version of Bon Chon. The vibe is really cozy, intimate, and chill. It's a great spot to casually hang out with friends or family. The wait for the chicken was long, BUT it was worth the wait. The food was hot and fresh. The Korean BBQ OG Grilled Chicken Sandwich - It was huge! Even though I am a petite 95 lb lady, I devoured that sandwich. The flavor wasn't an authentic Korean flavor, but it wasn't bad! It was more sour and salty for my taste. I think it would balance out more if there were no pickles, and a mixture of the kimchi carrot slaw + regular mayo based coleslaw. Szechuan Fries - The Szechuan mustard sauce is powerful and incredibly overwhelming. I do NOT recommend that sauce at all. I think if you order these fries, just OMIT that mustard sauce. I felt like all my sinuses cleared up and my eye balls were about to pop out. Dirty Fries - You can't go wrong with cheese fries. I am not a sour person, so I didn't enjoy the pickles on the fries. Our server, Brenna, was INCREDIBLE! She is the main reason why this review is getting a 5 star. She didn't know that it was basically our first time and she still gave us exceptional service. She was friendly, patient, and sweet. We ordered the Szechuan Fries because it was a free offer upon signing up for their rewards program. I told her I didn't like the mustard sauce and she offered to get us the Dirty Fries! I was like, "What?!" The fries were already free, so I didn't expect her to even offer a substitution. ALSO, for the Kid's Meal, she let us know that the side could be substituted for something else at no extra charge. If she didn't make that known to us, we would have had no idea. I'm glad she mentioned it because the boys LOVE mac & cheese, so that was perfect. Also, we were already getting fries, so it helped us to get more variety. All in all, the place is a little expensive, but I had a great time. The service was superb, the food was great, and I noticed that they are involved in the community. I love supporting businesses that give back. Thus, I would recommend trying this place out, even if it's just once!

Boy was I surprised to be seated by a hostess only to glance around to find a bar, enclosed patio and semi open kitchen. Did the meal itself differ from its fast casual counterparts? Not by much, but the offerings were more robust. I love to see pie on the menu alongside shakes, and while Mac and cheese and fries are welcome, orange chicken, Korean spices, broccoli salad, collards and heavenly eggs are a welcome change of pace. Our first trip (dine in) was about a 4-5 star experience. I waiter was not the most attentive and the food took quite awhile but the experience was positive enough for me to return. The second trip was a drive thru experience and it was...not as pleasant. Our service wasn't the best, our attendant less than enthused to be doing their job. A matter of fact, I felt like I was bothering her by ordering. While my food was fine, my sandwich came without napkins and again the food (one sandwich) took quite awhile. I'm unsure if I'll return with so many options in the area, but I'm glad I experienced them twice!

When I tell you the boxes were not even close all the way bc there was so much food in the box lol I love gizzards but these were fried a little too hard for me I like my gizzards a little more softer but still fried that's the reason for the 4 star but other than that everything was amazing! Dish was fried to perfection and wings were nice and crispy!!!! Okra was such a generous "side" as well. He gave us like 20 sauces for everything and ketchup no napkins but that's ok! I was told they charge extra for lemon pepper. I simply asked when they started charging for it because I've never been charged before. The employee responded that they have always charged for it. When I explained that I had never been charged in the past, she told me she had been working there a long time and had never seen me before. At that point, it felt like I was being called a liar. I made it clear that I had no problem paying the charge--I was only asking when the policy changed. The issue wasn't the cost; it was the way I was treated. As a longtime customer, I didn't appreciate being spoken to that way. Because of this experience, I won't be returning, and I'll be sharing my experience with the customers and friends I've referred there over the years. I have proof of some of my past purchases and visits.
