I came here since it's nearby my appointment. Large seating area with a good parking lot size. I ordered at the register and sat down. I got a lomo saltado ($19.25) along with a chicha morada. The wait time was not long and the plate arrived with a bottle of spicy Aji verde. The french fries were separate and not mixed with the slice red onions and beef. The platter was a good size and they gave a good amount of sliced beef and the sauce was not too salty. The staff is nice and the place is clean. read more

Ordered bistec apanado and aroz chaufa marisco. Don't know about other dishes, but these were unacceptable. The chaufa is supposed to have a mix of different seafood, but it had mainly very chewy calamari, only three little shrimps. Moreover, the whole dish had almost no flavor. The bistec meat was tender, but the breading was soggy and not crispy at all. The flavor of the breading was off somehow. We have traveled throughout Peru and South America and have good knowledge of the food. This place would not survive a single week in Peru. We'll never return to this place. read more

We came in the evening, not too long before they closed and we were greeted with a very friendly " Please come in.". The inside was warm and inviting. And the gentleman who served us was very kind and welcoming. We ordered the arroz con mariscos and the tallarín verde with the beef. Both were outstanding.. The rice had just the right amount of seafood flavor in it and was cooked with calamari, a jumbo shrimp, some small shrimp, squid, and a mussel. Along with that it had corn and red onions inside and it was absolutely delicious. The tallarín had an amazing flavor and the beef was also seasoned very well and you could see that it was pounded out with a mallet to tenderize it even more. The two sauces that they give you to spice it up - both delicious and we found that the green one paired well with the rice, and the yellow one paired well with the pasta. Come try this place. Just moved to Corona and was happy to find a Peruvian restaurant thanks to Yelp. I'm not saying I'm an expert but I've been to many Peruvian restaurants in So Cal. Today I ordered the Saltado de Mariscos like I usually do. I guess what ruined it for me was that the fries were soggy, the onions were wilted and everything was soaked in too much soy sauce. I'll go back and give them another chance, but I'll probably order something else. read more

I moved to Corona about three or four years, never came across my mind that there was one near the city trying out for the first time and man the dishes, entrées and appetizers are great good size great quality, good customer service friendly and not to mention. Literally the only Peruvian restaurant that populated near Riverside. I'm a huge fan of Peruvian food, Mario's place on Melrose is the GOAT. Not gonna lie this spot did it for me, the food was solid, the green sauce wasn't on point or spicy. The ceviche was wonderful, as well as the portion sizes. My husband and I tried this place tonight and the food was delicious. I ordered the lomo saltado while my husband got a chicken dish. Both plates were so flavorful. This is an awesome Peruvian place for Corona. I worked in (my opinion) THE BEST Peruvian restaurant in SoCal called El Pollo Inka (4 locations in LA County; Hermosa Beach is my favorite). This is what I rate the dishes i had here: Lomo Saltado 3.8/5, 1/2 chicken with rice and salad 3/5, Ceviche de Pescado 5/5, and sauces (ají and what looked like huancaina 2/5. The lomo was flavorful with decent meat and the rice for all dishes was great! The chicken I had was very dry and seasoning just not my favorite. The salad had no dressing and was old lettuce so I didn't even bother trying it. Ceviche was by far my favorite and I'd come back for that. It's a mom and pop place so don't expect a fancy, romantic restaurant. They have really good dessert options and I'm curious to try their soup as well so I'll definitely be back for more! read more

I came here years ago, but I didnt think I got their best effort, so I was in the area and wanted to get another shot. I walked in and walked up to the cash register where there were three women sitting/standing. The one at the cash register was on the phone. I dont expect her to drop her call and take care of me, but she completely ignored me standing their, turned her back to me, and then went back into the kitchen behind some saloon doors. There was another of the three women that had been sitting down; i attempted to make eye contact with her...again, not expecting her to drop what she was doing (which was nothing) but just to reassure me they would help me out. Once she noticed i was attempting to connect with her, she too, walked into the kitchen. That was all i need to see. To hell with this place, Never trying it again, I'll eat mcdonalds or the pancake house down the street. read more

I've had problems 3x w/ this restaurant this past week trying to order from here. I placed an order 2 hours in advance w/ food delivery and they just canceled it at 530pm when the courier was outside waiting and they close at 6pm. Don't accept the order if you don't want to fulfill it. It's messed up for the customers that are expecting food then they have to cook all of a sudden. When they actually made my order the 3rd time I asked for some extra green sauce for 2 lomo saltados and they gave me 0. What kind of service is this that they provide if they want return customers? Oh my goodness. This place is a GEM! I'm Peruvian and I know how dishes should taste and let me tell you.... After trading several Peruvian places in the area.. this is THE place. I am coming back and back and back... tastes like home I ordered online and went to pick up, we ordered ceviche mixto, arroz con mariscos, papa a la huancaina, ají de gallina and a big bottle of lucuma ice cream along some delicious sweets! we are all enchanted. YUM. Definitely will be back here. My husband got the half chicken plate and I got the lomo saltado to go. There are a couple seats in front for dine in if you have a party of two and would like to sit and dine during covid. The workers were wearing masks, taking precautions and also very friendly. When ordering on the phone there may have been some difficultly hearing, and I was asked multiple times to repeat my order. Once I came in, the worker apologized for it and asked again to make sure they had my order right, and proceeded to get my food from the kitchen. The chicken and rice was delicious and moist! As for the lomo saltado, it was absolutely delicious and flavorful! The fries and beef are separated and the sauce is kept on the side to keep it fresh and prevent sogging. You can mix it up to your liking. It was my first time here and I was also given a green salsa and a yellow sauce to try with my dish. Absolutely delicious! Such a wonderful small family owned Peruvian restaurant in the heart of Corona. A beautiful family sharing their hearts with us and comforting our stomachs with traditional home cooked meals. Solid Peruvian food. My friend has had Peruvian food before but I haven't and we shared the same thoughts about it. Tastes like food made from home. We had the tallarines verdes and veggie saltado with yucas fritas. Both so tasty and fresh. I'm now a huge fan of saltado and just wish I ate meat so I can try the lomo saltado. This place was a lot better the last time I went. But, it wasn't the same this time. I had a rough experience today. I tried to tell my waiter to give me lomo saltado cooked medium rare, but she didn't get it. I think I said it like 5 times. I didn't know what to do. When we got it, the meat was medium. And the meats weren't real chunks like steak. They were just these small pieces. When I got the receipt, I understood. She server put in "mid well." It was not an enjoyable meal. I gotta say, it's even better in person - fresh and delicious! I mixed all of the ingredients together and top it with the green sauce and ketchup. Worst service in the world. The food tastes bland and missing that Peruvian flavor that so unique to pollo or llomo Saltado. Place was dirty. Paid almost 30 for two meals to go. 1. Customer service: Called in and placed a phone order. The lady said 15 mins. I drove up there took about 20 mins and went to the register. The lady said they didn't have my order. Placed the order again. Waited another 20 mins. The other waitress came and asked if I want to place an order. I told her I did and that I was waiting. She left then came back 5 mins later to tell me my order has been ready. She hands me the food and it's all cold . This whole time I was waiting the food was there. There were two waitresses and 6 customers seated. Not a very busy day but they totally ignored me as I seat there waiting 2. Food taste: I love Peruvian food especially llomo and pollo Saltado. You can't mistake that distinct flavor that those dishes have. Unfortunately at this place that was missing. The chicken tasted just like chicken with rice. The beef tasted dry and was also missing flavor. I reheated my food (also for safety) when I got gone and drowned it in green sauce. That's how I managed to eat it. 3. Cleanliness: place looked dingy and not appealing. Stains in the cloth seats and dirty discolored booth seats.
