They served her a banana bread with caramelized sugar, bananas, and raspberry drizzle birthday dessert. It was quite tasty. Their wood-fired grill is at the center on the menu here: grilled steaks, fresh seafood, shrimp and fish, pizzas, and pasta with shellfish. We particularly liked their chewy, wood fired prebete bread with their standout chimichurri, flavored with garlic, carrot, and red pepper, which were offered before our seafood entrees. The wine highlights Argentine wine like Malbec and Torrontés, but also Italian and Chilean wine. There is an excellent wine shop at the front of the restaurant, where you can pick up a bottle to go.) A complimentary dessert wine was offered with the check: a thoughtful finish to our meal here. Family-run and full of heart, Punta Mercedes is a good spot for sunset Argentine parrilla complete with a local surfers in view. Definitely recommended.
