Walked away from tourists and found this cool spot. Great food and seating area. Will be back

The breakfast was amazing and the dinner was even better. Unfortunately no pictures of the amazing pizza but definitely a must when you come for dinner. I'm from the states and we love ranch on our pizza, the pizza was so good it wasn't even needed.

There's a new chef and the food is AMAZING. I recommend the specials; I had the almond crusted mahi mahi with a carrot sauce that was out of this world. The shrimp pizza was the best I have found anywhere and the steak fajitas and BBQ ribs (Friday nights) shouldn't be missed. Ropi, the owner, is an artist and you can see his beautiful mosaic work all over the restaurant.

You can't miss this place as Ropi, the owner, has built an amazing 3D mural across the front of the restaurant. The ambience is relaxing and beautiful. We went several times while we were here for drinks and dessert. We didn't eat the pizza. But everyone says it is great. Ropi is a wonderful host who mixes each drink with care by hand. Uodate: We had the pizza. It was great!

Great food, solid friendly service, slightly scary area. Coming from the opulence that is the St. Regis, the restaurant was in a locale best described as a bit of a shock. This restaurant is solely for the adventurous, but your intrepidness will be rewarded. To get here, one must pass through a very run-down part of Punta Mita; get past that, and you're golden. Upon arrival, the owner happily greeted us with a smile and allowed us to pick whatever seat we wanted. We sat under the beautiful thatched roof, next to a giant pile of tiles being used to create a mural outside. Lamps and small fans randomly dotted the decor as well. The extremely simple and affordable menu was in both English and Spanish. My wife and I both had fajitas; I had steak, she had chicken. The steak fajitas are not your typical Americano version, inasmuch as they don't come with tortillas, salsa, guac, cheese, or sour cream. But you're not going to miss an ounce of any of it; holy cow that steak was delicious, grilled to perfection and seasoned with, phonetically, acevida? Served with mixed veggies and a side of rice. Delicious. Two cats, Perla and Midnight, regularly visited the table and asked for scraps. Everyone seemed ok with this. Fortunately we have a cat at home, but I can see that freaking some people out a little. Our rides to and from the hotel were as expensive as the meal. Worth it for the adventure.

We ordered the bbq for 2. It was a plate with some of everything(beef, ribs, chicken, pork and sausage) and cactus, grilled onions, beans, tortillas and a couple of small quesadillas on the side. Our server spoke excellent English and the place was very comfortable. They have a nice area for kids. If you want to come during the day and have them hang out there while they're waiting for their food. I got the barbecue sauce which is a side that you have to ask for and it was very tasty We really enjoyed this place. It felt more authentic and more local than most of the places we normally go to in the South part of the town on the coast. It was about a third less expensive.

Rooftop patio with twinkle lights, friendly and attentive service, and delicious food -- what more can you ask for! We got the guacamole and tuna sashimi as appetizers, and the guacamole (as well as the complimentary salsa) was made right at the table to our exact specifications (mild, please!). We weren't really drinking tonight, so got virgin strawberry daiquiris which were essentially delicious smoothies. I bet the real ones are top notch, too. For mains, I had the chicken fajitas, which came with additional guacamole, rice, and beans in a build-your-own style. My partner had the tomato cream soup, which came with biscuits and had a beautiful presentation. We asked if they served lunch on the way out (they do, opens at 2pm), since we can't wait to come back. We got two churros to go since some of the reviews raved about them -- still too full to eat them but looking forward to it!

The food was outstanding, the oceanfront setting was beautiful, and dining to the sound of the waves made the evening even more special. What truly set the experience apart was the attention to detail. Alejandro and the team went above and beyond by creating a personalized dessert presentation on a surfboard featuring the Johns Hopkins insignia, along with a variety of delicious desserts to celebrate the occasion. The service was warm, thoughtful, and impeccable from start to finish. Thank you, Alejandro, for helping create a memorable celebration for our family. We highly recommend Tuna Blanca for anyone looking for exceptional food, breathtaking ambiance, and service that makes special occasions unforgettable.

Maybe because we don't drink. The ambiance was on point. The tables inside were very colorful with a beach vibe. The outside table we sat at had a beautiful view. The amuse bouche was very tasty as were all of the starter apps. Honestly the mains paled in comparison to the apps which was too bad. I had the Suckling Pig Taco which blew me away even with that name LOL. They were so good I discussed this with one of the waiters and he fully agreed. The Thai Noodles in Ginger Sauce was good but a little cold. I think that's how they serve it. The Amaranth-Fried Soft Shell Crab was especially tasty. The Bay Tuna Tostada was excellent. The Grilled Octopus in a Red Mole was good though a little slimy. I love it when places give you a little included dessert and the Coconut Macaroons did not disappoint. I definitely recommend this place. No doubt.

We decided to dine here on our first evening in Punta Mita and it was an enjoyable meal. The place was a little loud if I'm being honest, but the sunset view quickly made up for that. The staff were especially nice and attentive. We started with the Chips and Guacamole, and the guacamole was exceptional. Next up was the Tuna Carpaccio which was fantastic. We then had fresh Baked bread with a very tasty spread, the Burrata and Greek salads. My better half really enjoyed the Greek salad most of all while I leaned more towards the Burrata. She had the Grilled Fish, which she thoroughly enjoyed. The kid had the Beef Tenderloin and he really, really liked it. I had the New York Strip, which was good but not great. Everything was a little heavy on the olive oil TBH. The Baklava and Pistachio Ice Cream dessert was pretty good, but the Baklava was quite dry. All in all, it was a very nice experience and I would recommend going here.

While they do have a couple of tables inside the open air restaurant and a few at the bar, the majority of the seats are on the beach. For our main meal, we dined on the grilled whole lobster and meat & mole with a side of grilled mushrooms. The meal was delicious, but the lobster was local and the tail was not as big as I would have liked for the price that we paid.
