Grilled chicken sandwich with fries.
Garden Girl Z.

Great little spot for breakfast or lunch. My son had the chicken sandwich and loved it so much we had to go back so he could have it again. He did say he wished it had more siracha sauce though. I had the chile relleno and it was delicious! It's back a couple (5ish) of blocks from the beach.d

Nothing came close to Abuelita's cooking more then Tia Soco's Place. Location was so cute and full of Mexican Ambiance and hospitality! This was a cash only Mom and Pop place just at the corner of a little cobble stone street off the main boardwalk strip. Only about a five min walk in a safe neighborhood! Even thinking back on my experience puts a tear of love in my heart. Tia Soco was our waitress, and was the kindest lady I've ever met! Ask her what she suggests. Don't be afraid to try something new. You will not be disappointed!! We were looking for a place that the locals loved! This place was a popular one. Not to crowded but I saw many local come and talk Soco as if they were family. The food and smoothies were amazing. Only thing I'd change is more ice in the smoothie. Other then that if you are looking for authentic non commercial Mexican Cuisine please make a stop at Soco's Place. The Food!! Barria Tacos - You'll be able to taste all the the authentic stewing of flavor and flair of a traditional a Mexican dish. Chiliequilles - Perfect consistent flavor throughout the dish. Had a kick of spice but not too much! It was so tasty and good. Get a fried egg on top of it... omg you will not be disappointed. The Mexican Breakfast- Perfect and simple if you want a taste of American dinning. It had tomatoes mixed in and were scrambled perfectly. Came with a side of beans and home made tortillas too!! Yummy! I'll end with this. It's a cash only establishment and Mexican Food that will make you want to come back for more. You will not she disappointed!

Soco's Place is a hidden neighborhood gem on the back end of the Romantic Zone, just a short walk from all the main tourist action. Food: We had breakfast and it was delicious. Chilaquiles with chicken and egg had great flavor with a light verde (green) sauce. The Huevos Divorciados has a combo of red and green sauces. Served with bread and tortillas. Service: Friendly and efficient. We were seated quickly, ordered in decent time, and food was out in a jiffy. Cost: Two coffees, two breakfast meals and an OJ ran us about $280 pesos, USD$14. Overall: Give this place a shot. It's quiet and not touristy at all. Very reasonable pricing with fresh, delicious food and great service. Bring cash.

We absolutely love this place. The food is authentically fantastic. We had the chilaquiles in red sauce soooo good. The Chile rellenos was absolutely yummy. The divorced eggs were excellent. The prices were excellent. 70-90 pesos per dish. Kind attentive service. Everything was perfect.

Perfect little authentic breakfast. Quieter and much more comfortable than the touristy breakfast spots. Huevos rancheros were good. Coffee was good and not burnt like another local popular breakfast place. Cozy vibe and good service. Lots of locals eating here. Prices are good too!

Really great, low key breakfast place! We all really enjoyed our food (a few of us got the chilaquiles and one of my friends got the omelet) and the prices were very low, even for Puerto Vallarta. The service was also great; all the waiters were very attentive but our favorite had to be Alonso! Would go there again next time we are in Puerto Vallarta!

I've been here a few times now and it is a go to breakfast spot when I visit PV. They are very welcoming, amazing fresh food, and affordable. I highly recommend! (:

Everything was done right here. Top 2 chilaquiles I've had in Vallarta! Simple spot, clean, off the path, local, fresh and fast. Possibly my new favorite breakfast spot in town

Milanesa de Res (breaded steak) Strawberry smoothie Business hours

CASH ONLY! I had a strawberry smoothie and the Milanesa de Res. The presentation is amazing. The rice was a bit salty. The steak came with a delicious thick green salsa. The salsa had a nice qick to it. And it came with a side of corn tortillas. The smoothie was very refreshing. Came at about 1 PM on a Wednesday and it was pretty empty which was great!

Delicious food and warm hospitality. We were visiting on vacation exploring the romantic zone where we were staying and stopped in for breakfast. 10/10 recommend!

shredded chicken. chilaquiles half red/green sauce with eggs and beans. the drink was fresh carrot/orange juice. Everything was delicious.

Walked 10 minutes to get here. definitely worth the walk. Found this place based on good yelp reviews. was looking very authentic Mexican local food. look no further fella, you found it! Very good prices. They have fresh juices and smoothies as well. I had the shredded chicken. chilaquiles half red/green sauce with eggs and beans. my drink was fresh a mixture of carrot/orange juice. Everything was delicious.

This is our second breakfast during our stay in Puerto Vallarta. The food is excellent with a very Mexican cooking flair. The service is prompt and professional. For us gringos, the wait staff speaks fluent English. The prices are more than reasonable. The best deal appears to be the American breakfast which is all inclusive from coffee to fruit and eggs. It is too bad they are only open for breakfast and lunch, I can only imagine what dinner would be like. We plan to visit a few more times during our too brief stay.

You have to pluck a third of the meat with your fingers just to get the tortilla to structurally hold. There is always a line. On a random Tuesday it stretched down the street long before the door opened. I waited twenty five minutes at four in the afternoon for a seat inside. No to go orders, no doggy bags. You eat what you order and leave behind your self respect. The dining room is packed tighter than a turtle's pecker. A dozen staff members move around each other like bees tending the hive, the rhythm wild and relentless. The tacos themselves are intimidatingly large, the vibe unlike anything I have ever seen. Come for the al pastor, and come hungry. If you cannot finish, no option exists but to weep over the abandoned morsels.

Ordering was a bit confusing since they give you paper forms to fill out. It's tricky to order for different people in your party, and they tend to rush you, which can be stressful. It's thicker, more cheesy than what I've ever had before and very delicious. We paired that with the prime rib tacos, it was a plate stacked with meat and 4 tortillas under it, more than we could eat. The seasoning was great, it was diced so small that it was easy to eat. I got a virgin strawberry margarita, the wife got a coke. It was very affordable.

Vegans are easy please. Give them clear marked options, even if there is one option, we are pleased. This place had a few clearly marked options plus the staff was fully aware and can provide suggestions. The only downside it is a cash only place. Guacamole and chips - fantastic. The guacamole freshly prepared and chips fresh fried. Amazing. The 3 types of vegan tacos we got were vegan chorizo, mushrooms and cactus (trying for the fist time). The vegan chorizo was the best, slightly spicy but not overly. The poblano peppers were predictable but very good. The onions with it were a good addition. Nicely seasoned and prepared. The cactus was good, we found that it was less seasoned. Just stir fried cactus. The star of all the three types tacos was the fresh blue corn tacos. We could have those everyday. The other superb tasting was the salsas and fresh toppings. 4 types of salsas, white onions and cilantro. The salsa were of varying different levels of heat and even the mildest salsa was the best. The virgin margarita and virgin mojito were great. Margarita being slightly better even though we love mint. Good atmosphere, clean surrounding and great service and vegan food - what more can one ask?

Not many people talk about their brunch, but they should. It is easily one of the best hidden gems in Puerto Vallarta. Every dish is beautiful, creative, and full of flavor. From the fresh bread and pastries to the main plates, everything feels intentional and thoughtfully prepared. You can tell the same care and creativity that goes into their dinner menu shows up at brunch too. The presentation is stunning, and the flavors are just as impressive. What really sets brunch here apart is the value. For the quality, the experience, and the level of cooking, it is an amazing deal. It feels like a high end experience without feeling stuffy or overpriced. It is the kind of place you want to linger, enjoy the view, and take your time. If you already love Tintoque for dinner, you owe it to yourself to try brunch. And if you have never been, brunch is the perfect introduction. It is truly one of the best brunch experiences in Puerto Vallarta and we keep coming back for more.

The entire front portion of the restaurant sits directly in the sand, so that's where we chose to have breakfast--under the iconic palapa roof, feet in the sand, overlooking the ocean. From our table you can watch the fishing boats and excursion boats heading out for the day, which gives the whole experience a relaxed, resort-like rhythm without feeling touristy or rushed. Service was excellent from the start--attentive, warm, and genuinely welcoming. They brought out a selection of pastries you can add if you want, like banana bread and cinnamon rolls, which felt like a thoughtful touch rather than an upsell. The coffee was very good, with plenty of options ranging from cappuccinos and café lattes to classic American coffee, all well prepared. For food, I ordered the scrambled eggs with Mexican chorizo, refried beans, and hash browns. It came with a basket of warm corn tortillas and several house salsas, letting you customize each bite. Everything was flavorful, comforting, and clearly made with care. We also ordered the shrimp eggs Benedict with spinach, which was beautifully done--rich, balanced, and fresh, with the shrimp cooked just right. One thing that really stands out is the ambiance. Being right on the beach, hearing the waves, feeling the breeze, and being encouraged (without being told) to slow down and take your time makes the meal feel like part of the vacation itself, not just fuel for the day. They also offer freshly squeezed juices, which pair perfectly with breakfast by the ocean. The menu is extensive, almost overwhelming in a good way--there are so many appealing options that it's genuinely hard to decide. That said, what we ordered was absolutely delicious and satisfying, and it left us wanting to come back and try more. Overall, La Palapa delivers on every level: location, atmosphere, food, and service. It's the kind of place where breakfast turns into a memory, not just a meal.
