Breakfast bagel sandwich, egg and bacon
    Gus F.

We found this fantastic and affordable place during our last visit. Now we come for breakfast regularly. Love the food, service and homey vibe. My favorites are the omelettes and bagel breakfast sandwiches. The serve a small mash potato that is utterly divine. The chef insists it's only potatoes and butter. Hmmm. Can't beat their prices or smiles.

Omelette poblano, Mexicano Benedict, and Bloody Mary were delicious.

Food, service and ambiance were great! No wait, friendly service, the food and drinks were delicious, and the prices are very reasonable. Azul is a great find!

Yum French toast with perfectly cooked bacon and eggs. Refreshing fruit and smooth coffee. Go here.

Wonderful! Tucked just off the busy Basilio Badillo, this cafe is a relaxing respite from the crowds. Their French toast is truly delicious and plentiful. Slightly custardy on the inside and crisp on the outside. Their regular coffee was flavorful and smooth. Also, the green juice gets you the nutrients you need. Service was attentive and friendly. Pay cash if you can, but they do accept cards. A gem for breakfast.

    Stuffed French Toast

This stuffed French toast was DELICIOUS. I thought it might be too sweet with the Nutella but it was perfect. Great smoothie and service as well. A cozy place for brunch.

Breakfast was sooooo delicious!!! I can't wait to go back!

This picture was from my trip in June. Everything was excellent!! I'm from Oklahoma and I wanted something the locals would eat. Wow ! The flavors were amazing!!! I can't wait to go back in December.

    Bloody ceaser

Excellent authentic Mexican style breakfast with some modern twists!! Really enjoyed our food and our host, Meme..and the bloody ceaser with the hibiscus salt was beautiful and delicious. Looking forward to returning

The Best Chilaquiles I've Ever Had! We met Caesar the owner and his recipes are to die for! His Mole sauce is what the chocolate mole lovers search for. We went with friends and all got chilaquiles with a different sauce. One had poblano, one rojo, I had chipotle...it was sooooo good! So good in fact we went back for our last meal in town before heading home! Beautiful little place, so clean and the staff is so friendly and attentive. It will be my first stop when we return!

Service was wonderful! It's like going home and your mom's cooking your breakfast. Loved how it's tucked away from the busy streets - just a stone throw from Freddie's Tucan (which i think its too busy).

Such a delicious breakfast at reasonable prices. Staff is extremely welcoming, friendly, and you feel like a valued guest. The salmon bagel was flavorful and yummy! The strawberry smoothie was refreshing and tasty. Please note: CASH ONLY

Azul is still amazing. All the staff is still there from a year and a half ago. Great seeing MeMe again. Chilaquiles still top notch. Jazz playing, and a couple of outdoor tables. It blows my mind that there were open seats here and the more popular tourist spot around the corner was packed. I don't know if there are better breakfast spots in PV; this is the only place I go.

Azul is a cute family-run breakfast place with tables outside on the sidewalk and indoors with A/C. The grandmotherly woman is always busy seating people and taking orders, yet is still friendly. She never made us feel rushed even when a crowd starts arriving. I've been coming to Azul for several years, but in the high season the wait line can get long. Luckily this past week we never had to wait. We ended up eating here 3 times in a week! I've had the Omelet Vegetariano several times and she remembered I didn't want asparagus. I'm not vegetarian, so I add a crispy bacon side. The Bienedictos Mexicanos was also quite tasty with arrachera. Fruit came with our meals, fresh cut mangos, cantaloupe and pineapple. I asked for hot sauce, picante, and out came fresh spicy red salsa and some truly hot green sauce. Yum! The coffee is delicious, hits the spot, and constant refills are offered. The fresh-squeezed orange juice is great, and the green drink is amazing too. I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. Sometimes the simplest food does taste the best.

The food was excellent! The best chilaquiles I've ever had, and that's saying something considering I have a Mexican mother-in-law. The service was amazing with a very sweet waitress and we even spent time talking with the owner who recommended us another amazing restaurant for dinner. The price is very affordable and the atmosphere is great too. The restrooms were also very clean. All in all it was a great experience!

I was expecting better. The wait staff was nice, but the food was just average. Head over to Joe Jack's for something better.

It appeared as though this Since this…read moreplace was cash only, it appeared to have contributed to it not being so busy which was better for me. The service was phenomenal. The staff were very attentive including taking my order, bringing my food, clearing my table, and bringing the check. It first started with them bringing some complimentary toasted bread with jams and butter. Since I ordered fajitas and a beer, it was a little weird to get bread, but I still ate it anyhow. The surf and turf fajitas were fresh off the plate, sizzling with envy! I would definitely come back here again next time I am in the Zona Romantica.

It was a bit of a walk, but absolutely worth it. We took a cab from the port to the Malecón Boardwalk and then hoofed it about a half-mile to Fredy's. You can tell this is a local favorite. The restaurant is lovely and inviting, and I was honestly impressed by all the vibrant colors and the incredibly beautiful wallpaper. Service was friendly and prompt, and our group of seven was seated in a cozy back corner, like we were members of a super-exclusive breakfast club. I ordered a Bloody Mary and shared the Ranchero eggs ($138 pesos). They were served just like traditional ranchero eggs: over two fried tortillas bathed in red and green sauce, accompanied by refried beans. The Bloody Mary was delicious (don't expect an American-style "salad in a glass" with a ton of garnishes--you just get a piece of celery, and honestly, that's all you need), but the Mary mix was savory and delicious. The ranchero eggs were also savory and delicious; a half order was perfect for me, especially when they give you a basket of bread with jam for the table to share (and for me to hoard). The whole table loved their meals; everybody cleaned their plates, which is the international sign for "This was a good decision." The atmosphere was so cheerful and vibrant, truly a feast for the eyes before the food even arrived! Each bite of the Ranchero eggs was a delightful mix of savory flavors, and sharing that bread basket felt like a little family moment. It's the kind of place that just makes you feel happy to be there.

They had bottomless coffee and a bunch of freshly squeezed juices which was a great start. Obviously, I had to order pancakes at a place called the Pancake House. I expected them to be good, but wow...they ended up being some of the best pancakes I've ever had. Thick, fluffy, and somehow perfectly soaked up the syrup without getting soggy. It was a stack of three and looked like way too much at first... but I genuinely couldn't stop eating them. My boyfriend got the French toast, and I barely managed to sneak in one bite before it disappeared but that one bite was incredible! I get why he didnt want to share it lol. The service was quick and super friendly. We were joking around with our waiter the whole time which made it even better. The whole place has a really cute vibe too with plants everywhere. Honestly, it was the perfect last meal and such a great way to spend our final morning. I'm definitely going to be dreaming about those pancakes for a long time.
