Undercooked frijoles refritos. The pico de gallo was fine, and the smoothie passable. If you want pancakes or a burger maybe this is a good choice because the location is great. Got this to go twice and all 8 of us loved it while in Sayulita! We ate at the restaurant for both breakfast and lunch. Our last morning here we loved conversing with the British owner and appreciated her charm and service. Choco banana encourages you to not use plastic as there are signs everywhere so for example you can't take iced coffee to go. We respect the plastic reduction agenda and knew to bring our own cups if we wanted a drink to go. We saw our friend's entire family there several times and they easily managed to seat 10 people quickly. Patio seating is wonderful and the place has a nice vibe. Food is delicious! Here is another local place that you need to try. We got there about 7:30 in the morning for breakfast and the place was packed. A lot of people just get in line to get their lattes, cappuccinos, etc., but we decided to sit down and have a little breakfast. It was a great idea. My latte was delicious, and Reed said his almond milk cappuccino was excellent. I had with they called the keto breakfast, which was two poached eggs, cooked spinach, and bacon. Everything was excellent, but we sat under a fan, so one egg and the spinach cut too cold to eat. It wasn't their fault. My husband had two eggs, bacon, fresh squeezed orange juice and big potatoes. He ate all of his, and then he ate my bacon too! Our waiter looked a little rough, but he was excellent, friendly, and got everything out to his right in time. My friend and I were roaming around town in the late afternoon looking for a caffeinated pick-me-up when we came across ChocoBanana. Sayulita has a ton of coffee spots, but what attracted us here is the variety of non-dairy milks and frozen coffees on the menu. We sat outside at the coffee bar since it provided plenty of shade and a breeze from all the fans. We each went with the menu's namesake, a frozen and blended mocha coffee with your choice of milk. These were delicious and not overly sweet. Service was great, as was the central location. Chocobanana Great location on the corner of everything! Love to people watch so found a perch up against the bar. Food is pretty cheep not the best quality. So the adage is true here. Waffel plate came with 2 pieces of bacon and fruit. It was 'ok'... I added two eggs a la cart and spent about 110 pesos for everything which to the exchange rate is less than 6$ for the money not bad. Would probably not come here again just because there are sooooo many other places to try in this town.
