The place is a lot of fun and the food was really good! Expect American prices (party of 4 with just a couple drinks was $200-but we did get the large lobster.). Service was great. The music is loud, but it is all outdoor seating, so not overwhelming. Bring bug spray if you are the one that attracts mosquitoes. This is a rustic, family-run perch above the road to Punta Mita with a distant view of the Pacific. We had some great dishes, but the overall experience was a little uneven. Onto those dishes. The scallops, served as a something between a tiradito and an aguachile, in a dark sauce dotted with chiltepin peppers (according to the hostess's own recipe), were outstanding: sweet, sour, delicate, and spicy. The shrimp aguachile was also quite good, as were the chicken tacos dorados and the trio of tuna sashimi. The product was unfailingly fresh. But the tuna ceviche was tough and lacking in flavor; one of the aforementioned shrimp had been improperly cleaned; and a beer came half-frozen in its bottle. The beer was quickly replaced, to the management's credit. Prices were appropriate, and the vibe was friendly. So we wanted to love the place, but we ended up just liking it. read more

Fresh seafood and affordable. Has a good view of the sunset. This might be the cheapest I've eaten around this area. Because the whole area is all resorts and drives the price up but this one is still very authentic and at a local price. It's right off the highway on the hill, you might need a car to get there, Uber is basically non exit in this area if you don't have a car to leave. The seafood soup is my favorite, has shrimp, half lobster and other seafood inside, good value. And tuna sashimi is also good but I don't like the one with cream cheese inside, the best is with the sesame if you can ask if they can make all the same flavor. Our family of 4 shared the lobster volcano, lobster enchiladas & the Adam's special. All of it was so good but the Adam's special was superior! The owner taught my kids 19&21 how to make the Margaritas at the table. Food outstanding! Fresh guacamole with Mexican Avacados (so much better than those California Hass). Chicken Nachos just fantastic made with fresh Mexican cheeses and those extra crunchy tostadas. The salsas and pico so great and tasty. Lobster Plater just get it, you will be amazed so fresh just melts in your mouth. Crab Valcano created by the owner one evening with cooking on the beach, so good! Such a lovely place. It is family owned, and they all are just so kind and make the place feel like home. They even started karaoke for the whole restaurant, so many families united and having a good time together. The food was excellent, so fresh and tasty, I especially recommend the tuna sashimi. What a treat on our escape from real life! We're staying in Punta Mita and have tried the subpar beach clubs (don't bother, unless you're hanging out at the beach) when I read about this place. Hector lived up to reviews--clearly an extrovert and proud of the restaurant he built. The place only had one other table occupied and all tables were compliant with 25% capacity standards. The ambiance was charming and whimsical, with glass hearts hung at the perimeter of the thatched roof and slab furniture. The cocktails were fantastic! We had mango, pineapple and strawberry margaritas (two with spice). The main thing I can say about the food is how fresh it was. Do you know how enchiladas are usually soupy and seem as though they've been in the sauce for some time? These crab, chicken and shrimp enchiladas were fresh, presentation was beautiful, and flavors were comped and delicious! I had the shrimp in avocado. It was a PERFECT avocado--you know what I mean by that. The chips were homemade and delicious (I could have used salt, but I think no or little salt is common to local cuisine). Three salsas--pico de Gallo, medium green and hot. All delicious! Everyone loved their meals. Please go support Hector though this season, you won't regret it! read more

Happened upon this place by chance and so happy we did. We have been on a tear trying different places starting with our hotel St Regis, which was great. But the family atmosphere and wonderful fresh food made this our favorite place. The margaritas were fresh and delicious (obvs) but the fresh catch of the day was perfect. I got the lobster and shrimp combo, he asked if I wanted to pay extra for the larger half lobster. The lobster was so large and delicious, as were the shrimp. We wanted to try this place based on the reviews. We arrived just before 6pm and the place was empty so we had our pick of seating. By 6:30pm it was more than half full. The family was very warm and friendly from the moment that we arrived. It's a very small place, I wouldn't say it is good for a crowd. They only have a couple of large tables. Most tables for two. We ordered guacamole, and it was amazing. Pure and fresh. The flavor of the avocado was the star, as it should be. The chips were homemade. Nice and crisp. The reviews highlight the fish, and the menu is 99% fish based. However, we had been eating fish for a couple of days and wanted some meat instead. I ordered the skirt steak. It was good, but could have used a bit of seasoning. The meat was perfectly cooked. The accompanying vegetables were fresh and cooked perfectly. Lots of bite left to them! My boyfriend ordered chicken enchiladas. They were amazing. I had serious food envy! Dessert was hugely disappointing. We ordered a combo of flan and crepes with dulce de leche. The flan had no flavor and was not creamy. We each had one bite and we were done. The crepes were overcooked and crispy. We did not complain or send the food back. We ordered margaritas and piña coladas. They were ok. If we hadn't ordered dessert my review might be 4 stars. I am of Mexican and German decent, so the flan and crepes was a hard fail. Hector and his staff treated us like family. This is first time and not our last. We enjoyed the yellowfin ceviche, lobster, aguachiles, camoron and pulpit ceviche, and a maracuya margarita.
