Sunset view
Alex Z.

Fresh seafood and affordable. Has a good view of the sunset. This might be the cheapest I've eaten around this area. Because the whole area is all resorts and drives the price up but this one is still very authentic and at a local price. It's right off the highway on the hill, you might need a car to get there, Uber is basically non exit in this area if you don't have a car to leave. The seafood soup is my favorite, has shrimp, half lobster and other seafood inside, good value. And tuna sashimi is also good but I don't like the one with cream cheese inside, the best is with the sesame if you can ask if they can make all the same flavor. Credit card carpeted and they speak English so communication is easy.

Can't believe there weren't hundreds waiting? Great hilltop view and amazing sunset! Margaritas were amazing and truly Mexican a little Contry Fresh lime juice and tequila! The owner taught my kids 19&21 how to make the Margaritas at the table. Food outstanding! Fresh guacamole with Mexican Avacados (so much better than those California Hass). Chicken Nachos just fantastic made with fresh Mexican cheeses and those extra crunchy tostadas. The salsas and pico so great and tasty. Lobster Plater just get it, you will be amazed so fresh just melts in your mouth. Crab Valcano created by the owner one evening with cooking on the beach, so good! The Shrimp and Avacado appetizer was delicious. Shrimp so fresh and those perfectly ripe Abacados. The fresh Tuna (caught that afternoon by owners son) just melted in your mouth. So fresh and tasty can't get any better. Will be back again and again!!!

Such a lovely place. It is family owned, and they all are just so kind and make the place feel like home. They even started karaoke for the whole restaurant, so many families united and having a good time together. The food was excellent, so fresh and tasty, I especially recommend the tuna sashimi. And of course service was impeccable. Honestly, me and my family are staying at an all inclusive restaurant near by, where the food is just not good, this visit was a total turn of events for that disappointment. Made all of our nights. I really recommend this restaurant!

Mango chile margarita

What a treat on our escape from real life! We're staying in Punta Mita and have tried the subpar beach clubs (don't bother, unless you're hanging out at the beach) when I read about this place. Hector lived up to reviews--clearly an extrovert and proud of the restaurant he built. The place only had one other table occupied and all tables were compliant with 25% capacity standards. The ambiance was charming and whimsical, with glass hearts hung at the perimeter of the thatched roof and slab furniture. The cocktails were fantastic! We had mango, pineapple and strawberry margaritas (two with spice). The main thing I can say about the food is how fresh it was. Do you know how enchiladas are usually soupy and seem as though they've been in the sauce for some time? These crab, chicken and shrimp enchiladas were fresh, presentation was beautiful, and flavors were comped and delicious! I had the shrimp in avocado. It was a PERFECT avocado--you know what I mean by that. The chips were homemade and delicious (I could have used salt, but I think no or little salt is common to local cuisine). Three salsas--pico de Gallo, medium green and hot. All delicious! Everyone loved their meals. Please go support Hector though this season, you won't regret it!

Happened upon this place by chance and so happy we did. We have been on a tear trying different places starting with our hotel St Regis, which was great. But the family atmosphere and wonderful fresh food made this our favorite place. The margaritas were fresh and delicious (obvs) but the fresh catch of the day was perfect. I got the lobster and shrimp combo, he asked if I wanted to pay extra for the larger half lobster. The lobster was so large and delicious, as were the shrimp. Not the fancy atmosphere but if you're here for great food this is the place.

Really great food, cute venue with glass hearts all around. Feels like you sitting in a deluxe treehouse.

Family owned restaurant where their moto is "su casa." You definitely feel like part of the family when there - amazing homemade food, great ambiance and sunset view. We are there twice on our vacation and enjoyed every dish and cocktail.

The prettiest margarita ever!

We ordered the bbq for 2. It was a plate with some of everything(beef, ribs, chicken, pork and sausage) and cactus, grilled onions, beans, tortillas and a couple of small quesadillas on the side. Our server spoke excellent English and the place was very comfortable. They have a nice area for kids. If you want to come during the day and have them hang out there while they're waiting for their food. I got the barbecue sauce which is a side that you have to ask for and it was very tasty We really enjoyed this place. It felt more authentic and more local than most of the places we normally go to in the South part of the town on the coast. It was about a third less expensive.

Rooftop patio with twinkle lights, friendly and attentive service, and delicious food -- what more can you ask for! We got the guacamole and tuna sashimi as appetizers, and the guacamole (as well as the complimentary salsa) was made right at the table to our exact specifications (mild, please!). We weren't really drinking tonight, so got virgin strawberry daiquiris which were essentially delicious smoothies. I bet the real ones are top notch, too. For mains, I had the chicken fajitas, which came with additional guacamole, rice, and beans in a build-your-own style. My partner had the tomato cream soup, which came with biscuits and had a beautiful presentation. We asked if they served lunch on the way out (they do, opens at 2pm), since we can't wait to come back. We got two churros to go since some of the reviews raved about them -- still too full to eat them but looking forward to it!
