Super chill, friendly staff, reasonable prices. Great location on the 2nd floor deck. Heard it had the best lobster in the area. We did order it and I have to admit it was a bit disappointing. Really miss the grilled version I had so many times in other beach towns. There were lots of sides and the food overall was plentiful. A party near us was celebrating a birthday with many shots so we were offered one by our waiter. Why not? When in Rome, right?

After walking around this little pueblo, my husband and I found this place. Seating is plentiful, so feel free to bring friends and family. The views from the upper and lower deck seating are amazing. Crystal blue waters, surfers, and paddle boarders keep you entertained as you enjoy a cool libation and a delicious authentic meal. The service here is outstanding! Everyone here is friendly and quick to ensure you get what you want. The menu is for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I highly recommend trying all three menus, although to be honest, I did not get the chance to eat dinner here. Everything is made from scratch, super delicious, and doesn't cost you an arm and a leg to buy. I would rather eat here than the resorts...buy local!!! Swing by, grab a Modelo and a chair by the beach and enjoy the cool.breezes and the delicious family made food . Service: excellent Menu: traditional Mexican Ambiance: super casual Cleanliness: very clean Bathrooms: available, both male and female Accepts both pesos, the dollar and credit card

Came here for my first day in Punta Mita and the hostess/waiters were kind and attentive. Rudy was super nice escorting us to the tables and the view was peaceful. I tried the cóctel de camarón and it was BOMB shrimp was soft and the juice was so so good (I'm real picky with textures) pila coladas are a MUST , and huevos rancheros were a hit! Everything is mild for extra heat they provide chile. 9/10 because it was more of American prices rather than traditional Mexico price point!

This place has the best salsas! I meant the fish tacos and guac were good but the stuff that goes on top? That's what made it. My kids liked that they could get very "US" friendly chicken fingers. They were also able to get our party of 14 amazing ocean front dining right away, late at night. Which we really appreciated. I think I'll be stopping back shortly during this trip to get some more snacks! Yum!

Hands down amazing!! After visiting the marietas islands aka secret island, we were pretty hungry and wanted to eat in Punta Mita before heading back to Sayulita. We walked down one of the main streets and were greeted by one of the owners/managers telling us this is where we needed to eat. I was a little hesitant at first but mannnn he was right! He sat us upstairs at a table overlooking the ocean. Perfect! Their menu had a lot of options and the prices were decent. We all settled on shrimp ceviche, shrimp cocktail, and shrimp quesadillas. The shrimp was plump-y and juicy! The ceviche was fresh fresh fresh. The salsas were in point and so were the cucumber margaritas. Honestly, everything about this place was amazing. Would love to come back here!

We stopped here to eat lunch with a party of 8 after snorkeling out at the Islands. Our server Geronimo, and his staff were beyond accommodating. Such a good group of guys. The food was excellent. We ordered: Agua Chile Fish tacos Octopus tacos Shrimp tacos Stuffed avocados Fish ceviche Shrimp ceviche Nachos Michiladas Don Julio The list goes on and on. The pictures will speak for themselves. Ambiance on the second floor was difficult to beat. This place is exactly what you'll want.

Came here for dinner on a Friday and business was brisk. It was raining and there were some leaks from the roof and flooding, but still great views of the ocean. We had the mixed ceviche which was excellent and a very large portion--would highly recommend this. I had the fish fajitas which were just ok. My sister had a fish fillet which was good. BIL had chicken which he liked. The prices were very reasonable and service was fine. There's a taxi stand right across the street from the restaurant.

The best ceviche we had! If you're staying within Punta Mita, I would highly recommend stepped outside the gates and checking this place out. It's a gorgeous ocean front view with great food and drinks at even better prices

Best view, best prices, friendly staff, and good food. We like coming here for breakfast -- simple Mexican Egg plate. Highly recommend stopping by around sunset, ask to sit on upper deck, and order ceviche (mmmmm!) & drinks. This Friday evening there was a guitar player, not sure if that's for the dinner crowd... but we had a wonderful afternoon sipping mojitos & margaritas. $5 delicious pina colada served in huge glass.

Great affordable spot amongst all the expensive restaurants. Same views, good food and good service. Enjoyed a chill breakfast this morning and had the place to myself for over an hour drinking coffee and listening to the waves.

Just arrived in town and saw the view that La Cabana had to offer. You can't get closer to the water! Our group was craving shrimp tacos so that is what we ordered. Plates were spotless after our meal and the beers were cold. Our waiter was great, the food was hot, and the salsa was on point.

Friendly place with a beautiful view! I love the "down home" feel here, like you can just walk in from shopping, no dress code. Only downfall is allllllll of the street vendors, it seems like you can't get a bite in without one of them coming to sell you something. Fresa colada and piña colada were both refreshing and inexpensive! Shrimp quesadillas were great. Papas fritas weren't quite what I was expecting (my fault for ordering French fries in Mexico).

Great restaurant on the beach in Punta de Mita. Food and service were outstanding, prices are awesome. We came here 2 nites, first nite we had the combo platter with huachinango(local snapper), shrimp, small lobster and pulpo(octopus). Along with a starter of guacamole and shrimp ceviche which is the best I've had. Don julio margaritas for less than $5us and we have a winner! 2nd nite we came late after a full day of fishing, got there at around 9pm. We brought a few pounds of Tuna and they prepared it for us. Amazing tuna sashimi with a homemade spicy ponzu sauce, some great tuna ceviche and some grilled filets with a garlic butter sauce. Added a whole grilled huachinango and we had the perfect meal. We visited this week, end of September 2020, from the US during these Covid bs times. Obviously the number of visitors to the area are a lot less than usual, and supporting these local businesses now are crucial to their survival. La Cabana is a can't lose proposition, great food and prices and service. Lots of choices in this area, this one is a winner.

We ordered the bbq for 2. It was a plate with some of everything(beef, ribs, chicken, pork and sausage) and cactus, grilled onions, beans, tortillas and a couple of small quesadillas on the side. Our server spoke excellent English and the place was very comfortable. They have a nice area for kids. If you want to come during the day and have them hang out there while they're waiting for their food. I got the barbecue sauce which is a side that you have to ask for and it was very tasty We really enjoyed this place. It felt more authentic and more local than most of the places we normally go to in the South part of the town on the coast. It was about a third less expensive.

Rooftop patio with twinkle lights, friendly and attentive service, and delicious food -- what more can you ask for! We got the guacamole and tuna sashimi as appetizers, and the guacamole (as well as the complimentary salsa) was made right at the table to our exact specifications (mild, please!). We weren't really drinking tonight, so got virgin strawberry daiquiris which were essentially delicious smoothies. I bet the real ones are top notch, too. For mains, I had the chicken fajitas, which came with additional guacamole, rice, and beans in a build-your-own style. My partner had the tomato cream soup, which came with biscuits and had a beautiful presentation. We asked if they served lunch on the way out (they do, opens at 2pm), since we can't wait to come back. We got two churros to go since some of the reviews raved about them -- still too full to eat them but looking forward to it!

We decided to dine here on our first evening in Punta Mita and it was an enjoyable meal. The place was a little loud if I'm being honest, but the sunset view quickly made up for that. The staff were especially nice and attentive. We started with the Chips and Guacamole, and the guacamole was exceptional. Next up was the Tuna Carpaccio which was fantastic. We then had fresh Baked bread with a very tasty spread, the Burrata and Greek salads. My better half really enjoyed the Greek salad most of all while I leaned more towards the Burrata. She had the Grilled Fish, which she thoroughly enjoyed. The kid had the Beef Tenderloin and he really, really liked it. I had the New York Strip, which was good but not great. Everything was a little heavy on the olive oil TBH. The Baklava and Pistachio Ice Cream dessert was pretty good, but the Baklava was quite dry.
