My husband and I visit here often. A quick lunch or and evening outside on their patio for dinner. Either way we have never been disappointed in the food or service. My favorite is the chicken soup. My husband loves their carne asada burrito because he says "its the only taco shop" that puts any meat in their tacos anymore lol. The location is beautiful and quaint. Outside patio with the fire pit is charming. Customer service is great, super friendly, and welcoming. It was our first time here, and we had high expectations because of all the reviews. However, we left disappointed. The food was ordinary. I had a carne asada plate. The meat was bland, not a lot of flavors. The refried beans tasted as if they were canned. I also had a margarita, and I couldn't even finish it. It had too much mix, which was not very good either. I think this place has a lot of potential and could be a great spot. I would revamp the menu and work on the recipes. If your staff can't mix a good cocktail, then stick to the beers. read more

A hidden gem in Fallbrook, we went right after golfing. Nothing like an ice cold michelada and of course, a carnitas burrito. Being from Hawaii, I raised my eyebrows on their Hawaiian bowls, but when I'm in Cali, Mexican all day everyday. By far the best burrito I've had. Very cool place and a nice little find . We only stopped in for a beer and chips and salsa but the staff were friendly. The outside area is rustic looking but a nice vibe . Good food and service but parking is a problem during lunch and dinner. Handicapped area is continuously taken by non handicapped vehicles and staff will not assist in getting those cars moved. I would like to go more, but cannot deal with parking. And lack of parking spaces. read more

Not sure if they care about customer service but the cashiers was rude. Had a blunt face, First time I said thank you she didn't say thank you back, I had to yell out thank you again for her to whisper thank you back. I placed my order by phone, so things will be easier and when I got there and the cashier Is being rude and attending me with an attitude also hand me my food practically pushing it at me. I wish I would have gotten her name so I can put it on this review, but I literally just left about 10 minutes ago on June 2 at 6:40 PM. I've never had this type of service there I am a consistent customer has spent a good amount of money at that restaurant but no restaurant is good enough for me to sit at or even eat when the service is shitty! read more

The food here is good, no doubt about that. And I like that they serve menudo on weekends. Plus, I love that this place is cheaper than Robertitos! However, be prepared to wait, especially if they are busy. Of course, good things come to wait, but it's hard to get in and out of there (there is no actual parking "lot" and it's so right off Reche Rd). Their hours aren't that great, either, but I guess it's because they're tucked away near the Live Oak Park. They're obviously not going to get much service as opposed to being located on Main Avenue. Try them if you have a chance. It's really a decent hole in the wall. read more

Andrea is a great employee! I tend to stop at this place when picking up my kids in Fallbrook so if my kids are hungry, 5 rolled tacos works well for the kids! They have diversified menu so pick that suits to your palates. Their fish burrito and shrimp burrito is pretty good! Very cute spot. We were glad to find a place we can dine outside. Gave it one star for the horrible service we got from the cashier. She was not happy to be there and to speak about the menu. Being our first time there, I would have loved to been greeted with a smile and to feel welcomed. She stated they were out of ice but didn't mention if they were going to get it soon? Or out completely? Funny thing is five minutes later I saw someone walk out with six drinks full of ice. Took thirty minutes to bring out four tacos. The food is always super good here! The western burger is amazing as well as their tamales, tacos and burritos. Chips and salsa are one of the best in town as well. Great place to grab a cold beer and your food and sit outside looking over the park. Although service is fast, they do tend to not be overly enthusiastic or helpful when ordering. This is an irritant to me, yet the food makes up for it. I just go in knowing that if I ask questions, I may not get the most helpful response. This has happened to me the last 3 times, otherwise I would never mention it. If the person taking the order was friendlier, I would give 5 stars. read more

Very cool quaint place across the park, hence it's name. We stopped in on a Saturday for lunch. Wasn't crowded at all, a few tables available. Ordered the chili, fantastic and spicy. The chicken and pork tamales, both very good and not dry. And the fish and steak tacos, both were good, lacked a bit of flavor, maybe try different ones next time. After living in Fallbrook for over 25 years, we finally came here with some friends. We heard it was good and were eager to try it. Here is our take: lots of outdoor seating, with some of it shaded. Not too much parking on a Sunday at 11am, so we parked at the park across the street. We had to pay $3 to park there. Reche Rd is a moderately busy street, but we had Grandma and children with us. In retrospect, we should have dropped off everyone at the place, and just had the driver park. They have an extensive menu, so there should be something for everyone. The staff were not friendly at all. We told them that it was our first time, but there was no welcome or brief overview of the menu or any comment at all. They did get our order correct, but it took over 30 minutes to get it. My enchiladas had almost no chicken, and were barely warm. The corn tortillas were very difficult to cut with the plastic silverware we were given. The rice and beans were extremely bland. The avocado lime salad was decent with fresh ingredients, but not very flavorful. Three kids got burgers and fries. They looked good and were cooked to order, but none of the kids loved them. The buns were all slightly burnt. The sweet potato fries were the highlight of the trip. They were excellent! My husband got the carne asada burrito, but if you're a Fallbrook local, Pedro's are much better. My in-laws got the chicken tenders and fries and they said they were very good. Overall, we were very disappointed and will probably not be back. There are better places in Fallbrook for the price. read more

Found on Yelp and since closest place to our hotel at Pala Mesa decided to try. Truly enjoyable meal and GREAT VALUE. Chips salsa and guacamole exceptional. We had fish and beef tacos that were amazing. Only minor issue is that I didn't really enjoy my Chile relleno but I think that's just because it wasn't the style I like with a soft fluffy batter. Theirs was hard and crispy same as the fish tacos (which totally works for the fish). Lots of popular beers on tap too. It's in the middle of nowhere but I'd go again if in the area. read more

I'm so sad to leave this comment... We have been to el Parque for YEARS!! we were back in town and my husband went for chips and guacamole. To us, this means the normal home made/cooked chips, awesome homemade guac and a large amount of cheese on top. What we got was red and blue chips with standard globs of guac and no cheese. I'm so disappointed. I understand that they are under new management. Unfortunately, we won't be back. :( read more

We used to be regulars here. Not sure what happened but the food quality has declined and the portions smaller. Miss the Mexican soda in the bottles too. The last we went in the pork was tasteless.
