If you find that real GOOD after Christmas spot don't take it for granted! We decided to stop in at a local Mexican restaurant after dropping in on family. This place had great flavor on everything. The first thing we asked for wa queso dip to use with the chips and salsa that came to the table. They also brought us some very hot sauce and tomatillo sauce which blended well with the queso. We ordered shrimp fajitas and Chile relenos to share. Both were fantastic! We will definitely be back to try more from the menu if we can steer away from out new favs!

The salsa here is nice, with some heat.

We were in the area, so we decided to stop here for a quick lunch. This place serves up some pretty good Tex - Mex food, with a few traditional dishes thrown in - street style tacos, carnitas, molcajete, etc. There is nothing especially sexy or innovative about this restaurant, just solid food, good service, and reasonable prices. Alice's choice was the Chicken Enchiladas Verde with rice and beans, and I tried the Carnitas Dinner, also with rice and beans. We tried the salsa and chips as we waited, and the salsa is very good, with a nice heat buildup as your eat. The food was out in a short time, and it was mostly all good. The enchiladas were especially good because the chicken was very tender, very tasty, though the verde sauce was a bit on the lite side. The rice and beans were excellent, especially the rice. The Carnitas were ok, but nowhere near the very best around. The pork was cut in rather small chunks, and were a bit over cooked, a bit dry, and there was no outside crust as is traditional with this dish. The enchiladas were enough to bring us back when we're in the area - and I'll try their molcajete.

Its really 2.5 stars. I rounded up. For starters the service was attentive and friendly and the restaurant was clean. A lot of bright colors and over the top but fun murals. Its a small space so on the cozy side. As far as the food it was all kind of bland and a lot of the items were barely warm. It wasn't just my plate either. Most of the things on my wife's plate were barely warm too. In an empty restaurant that isn't acceptable. I ordered the Cheese Chile Relleno,Chicken Enchilada and rice. The enchilada was good. Pretty standard. A very simple sauce. The rice was on the boring side but was the hottest thing on my plate (just barely warm). The chile relleno was almost the highlight, but it was room temperature. The cheese was still very firm though it was battered and fried almost perfectly. That is the only reason I'm going to go back. I'm going to get the chile relleno one more time. If they get it right the second time I'll update my review. All and all there are better options out there but its still worth checking out.

Fantastic spot for authentic Mexican food. The tacos are awesome, the al pastor and carnitas were both great. I aslo had the choripollo which was outstanding. The chicken breast was grilled perfectly topped with a good amount of chorizo and melted cheese. The choripollo came with rice & beans which both had great flavor on their own, a stack of pipin' hot tortillas and a little salad of lettuce, pico de gallo, guacamole and sour cream. I'll definitely be stoppin' back by when in town.

I'm…read morepretty picky when it comes to Mexican food because I've been spoiled with very authentic offerings in other states and across Mexico and usually find super American Tex Mex underwhelming. I love this spots because it caters to both the authentic and American Tex Mex pallet through its offerings. The only downside is that there is not an authentic house made mole dish which I am a sucker for! My go to dish is the Enchiladas Americanas with shredded chicken....I know I know, I just said I prefer authentic but who doesn't love a little American queso cheese sauce on their dish??? What enhances the dish is the green and red salsa that both have amazing flavors and you can tell they are made from scratch in house. The red is my go to because the flavor is very homey and comforting but when I want a bit of a kick I get green! The service is always great and welcoming. I've also had a Valentine's cocktail here which was very good (they have standard and seasonal beverage offerings)! Highly recommend checking out if you are in the area!

I almost missed out because the sign had a different name but I came in hoping they had birria tacos. The food came out pretty quickly and oh my. The consommé was so rich and addicting. I ended up sopping every drop on the chips I had left after devouring the tacos. The meat was so tender and flavorful,l. What a epic lunch. They keep everything very clean. It's a nice little space. The back wall of flowers and embroidered pillows were a nice touch. I would definitely come back to satisfy my birria cravings. The consommé was a solid 9. Would have been a 10 if it wasn't as soupy. I prefer a thicker consistency. The taco itself a solid 9. Could have been a tad crispier and warmer. The salsa was the only thing I didn't care for. It was very sweet. I recommend you to come by and check them out. I'm stuck on the birria tacos so I'll have to force myself into ordering something new. Thumbs up. Best in a couple weeks.

There aren't very many Mexican stores in the area so I only had 2 options to go do since this is a really small town. The have a decent selection of items but wish they offered more. I guess being from Cali I set the bar high. I went to the meat counter I got 1.5 lbs of flank steak which I think their prices are overpriced at $14.99 a lb sheesh! I also got diced asada from street tacos as well it was still on the pricey side but not crazy like the flank. I also bought there homemade tortillas which honestly weren't good they were hard and stuck together what a waste of money we didn't like then at all. When you come here you'll need to have patience as when I went only one person in the whole place spoke English so you have to wait for that one person to come and help. Overall, I'd probably stop by again for other iris like the baked goods and the fresh drinks they make. This place is only just way too expensive.

As my friend and I followed behind her to be seated, I began to notice that she was leading us away from everyone else and toward an isolated area near the bar. What immediately stood out to me was that no one else was seated there, and neither of us drinks. At the same time, I could clearly see several empty tables available in the front dining area where all of the Caucasian customers were seated. As an African American woman, I felt confused, saddened, and deeply uncomfortable. It was difficult not to question why we were being separated from everyone else. With respect, I explained to the waitress that I did not want to sit "in the back" and politely asked if we could be seated in the same area as the other guests. She appeared visibly annoyed and stated that she would have to go ask someone. At that moment, I had no desire to argue or create a confrontation. No one should have to feel unwelcome or question whether they are being treated differently while simply trying to enjoy a meal. Rather than endure further embarrassment or discomfort, my friend and I quietly chose to leave. It was frustrating to experience something that made me feel unseen and separated while spending my money just like every other customer. I am not my ancestors, and I refuse to accept being made to feel hidden, excluded, or less deserving because of the color of my skin. Every person deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and equality!
