Had a great experience with El Monte Rv. Thanks to the Maneger for making it good! Had the rv for 6 days and everything worked out great. My husband and I were first timers, so the instructions when we picked it up was on point. && the manual helped a lot. Will book again in the future! Thanks again.

San Bernardino El Monte RV office staff were friendly and helpful. We rented a Class C RV for Presidents Day weekend and the motorhome was clean and ready to go. During our trip we found that the Microwave and TV/DVR didn't work. We called the hotline and didnt get much help, During our return, we were told that the microwave was unplugged (?) Not sure how or why. The TV was found to be bad. One person in our camp mentioned that they've used El Monte in the past and had several issues, including, an oven issue during one of their trips. They called the hotline folks and were told that someone was driving out to make the repairs. Apparently they were left without power for the vacation because nobody ever showed up. They now use Cruise America for that reason. I noticed other people that were returning while we were there. They were using the same $50 voucher that they offered us for our problems. Then the other customer told me that they give that voucher to everyone at check in, it wasn't because of our issues. Not that our issues completely ruined our trip, because it didnt. The frustrating part is, if you want to speak to someone at the main office, you cant get in contact with them. Its either by mail or email. Based on my experience with El Monte RV and, the stories I heard from the family that I met while camping this weekend, I will only use Cruise America from here on out,

Folks at the park trying to help!

As this review is being typed...we are stranded in Arizona. The awning on unit 71176 will not retract. We've been calling since Friday evening. It is now Sunday, check out time and we have only received minimal assistance. Told to run the motor for 30 mins and then press the button to retract the awning. That's hasn't worked. It is now check out time, the park is booked a can't extend the stay nor move the unit. Elmonte RV has us all in a queue for hours without answering the call...it's 8 of us calling hoping anyone of us get through. If we leave the unit we'll be charged a $2k abandonment fee! This is the worst experience ever!

We rented from El Monte and had a wonderful experience. Being new to the RV world, this was causing stress as our daughter desired to rent one for her birthday. We began looking around, even on the RV sharing sites. This only caused more anxiety. We decided to just go speak with them and immediately felt relieved as they were simply great and answered all our questions. In addition, I felt as though the prices were competitive. We worked with Valerie when we went in to reserve, then again at pick up, then again at drop off. She is phenomenal. Such a delight. There was another young lady with fun hair that assisted us with the initial walkthrough. I apologize as her name escapes me. She too was very patient and incredibly helpful. We have been burned before renting jet skis (obviously not at El Monte). This made me nervous so I proceeded to videotape the walkthrough. She did not skip a beat and welcomed it. Interestingly enough, as someone who has never used an RV before, I found it incredibly helpful and reference the video throughout the weekend to refresh and learn all that she taught us during that walkthrough. During drop off, Valerie did the walkthrough and made checkout extremely easy. We were in and out fairly quickly and they did not try to burn us as I experienced with the jet skis. Thank you El Monte, thank you Valerie, and thank you to the other girl. We appreciate you. As for the RV, we rented a class c 22. It was very easy to drive, very clean, and lots of fun. I recommend finding a campground with full hook ups or really nice showers as the grey water tank can fill up quicker than you think. Again, we would highly recommend El Monte's RVs. We have already recommended a friend that has proceeded to rent from them with a positive experience. We have also recommended them to another friend looking to rent that I believe will do so. If El Monte reads this, do you have a referral program? Thanks again! Looking forward to the next trip!

My wife and I purchased a brand new 2025 Apex Nano 221 RLS from Laguna RV on August 2. Before…read moresigning, I negotiated with Steve, the finance manager, who clearly agreed that an extra solar panel and second battery would be included at no additional cost ( see attached pic) . After I signed and paid in full, I later discovered they added a $400 charge for the solar panel anyway, even though I have proof it was agreed to be free. They also charged me a $995 dealer prep fee for a full inspection and setup, which clearly was not performed. Immediately after bringing the RV home, I discovered multiple defects: the entrance door would not close properly, there was a loud mechanical noise from under the refrigerator, and the battery was draining down while not in use. I contacted Laguna RV and on August 12 I drove two hours to return the RV for repairs and to install the solar panel they failed to include the first time. I picked up the RV on August 16 and was told everything was resolved. However, the very next day, while preparing for our trip, I discovered two holes in the brand new floor, additional damage under the recliners, and that all the tank sensors (black, gray, and fresh water) were not working at all. With only days before my departure and no time to drive back again, I had to hire a mobile RV technician, who confirmed the issues were not quick fixes. When we finally went on our trip, the water pump failed approximately 80 percent of the time. We could not properly shower, flush the toilet, or wash hands, and the tanks overflowed because the sensors did not work. This completely ruined our trip and was unacceptable for a brand new RV. On top of that in few occasions the shower drain water got flooded so did the toilet since again the tanks sensors didn't work and we couldn't tell the tanks levels... On our way back from the trip, the situation became dangerous. About 30 minutes into the drive home, one of the weight distribution hitch bars that Laguna RV had installed fell off while driving, and we were unable to locate it. We had no choice but to continue driving with only one bar, which is not safe. Two hours later, when we arrived at a gas station, I heard a loud boom. The second bar had also fallen off. I retrieved it and disconnected the hitch entirely, and had to drive the rest of the way without any distribution bars, which defeated the entire purpose of having a distribution hitch and put us in a dangerous situation. After the trip, I brought the RV back again on September 13. Bob, the service manager, told me he submitted a warranty claim with Forest River to have the damaged floor repaired. For five weeks, every time I followed up, he told me he was still waiting for approval from the manufacturer. I eventually contacted Forest River directly and was informed that no claim had ever been submitted. Only when I confronted Bob with that information did he actually send the claim. At this point, the RV has spent more time in Laguna RV's possession than mine. I am making monthly payments on a brand new RV that was delivered with defects, unsafe conditions, and items that were never properly inspected despite a $995 prep charge. I am now filing a formal Consumer Affairs complaint and pursuing legal action through my attorney to recover the unauthorized $400 solar panel charge, the $995 dealer prep fee, the $550 I paid for the hitch installation that was done improperly, and compensation for loss of use, safety risks, and the time and stress this caused my family. I have full documentation of all communication, photos, videos, and agreements. On more point - when I texted Steve ,the finance guy, in regards to the $400 unauthorized solar panel charge he texted back " who is this?".... we basically texted 20 times prior on the same text thread... Based on my experience, Laguna RV acted deceptively, failed to meet contractual obligations, and jeopardized my safety. I strongly warn others not to do business with this dealership.

Even though my wife and I were in the process of purchasing a brand-new motorhome, I wanted to have another pair of eyes look over and test everything. There are hundreds and hundreds of items to check on a motorhome, and James knows them all, and how to test them. I recommend James if you are purchasing new, because before you take your rig off the lot is the best time for you to point out items in need of replacement, repair, or adjustment to the dealer. You are buying a new RV, and you expect everything to be in perfect working order, but you cannot assume it to be. If you are buying used, you MUST use an inspector. You'd be crazy not to just to save a few hundred bucks which you'll probably spend on the first repair. Jim gave us a checklist of every item he inspected, which was exhaustive. Richardsons Fix the way do business…read more I bought a used 2018 TT & an extended warranty from Richardsons in late 2021 took it out for the 1st trip 3 months later. Toilet flushed once then water pressure to toilet was gone. I take my Trailer in for the issue toilet won't fill properly due to low water pressure to toilet only. Kitchen, restroom sinks and shower all have good water pressure. I explain how I feel it might be the toilet valve to Guy A as he takes trailer information from me. 1 week later I get a call from Guy A saying I need a new toilet that run $700 and the warranty don't cover it. I lose my cool explain how it's BS. I just got the trailer from them, I asked don't you guys check the trailers before you sell them some kind of point inspection. The toilet worked for 1 fill then pressure was lost. He apologizes and says he understands I should had been able to use it more... I feel bad so I go into the office apologize to Guy A for losing my cool I understand it's not his fault. He seems to accept my apology so I ask him to help me understand the issues. I ask various questions when Guy B jumps in and says there's build up, could be from city or camp site having poor water and or hard water. I explain I understand, but that build up normally don't happen from 1 fish to the other it takes time. Mean while Guy A went back to speak with the service tech and confirmed that water is flowing to the toilet but then there's build up. I say thank you and say I'm not paying for a toilet. They explain how I'm gonna have to pay $175 for the time spent. I tell them I can't take trailer yet cuz I'm in my car. I return an 45min later with warranty in hand to show that warranty states it covers valves and fittings which I felt is where the issue is. Guy A is on the phone so I'm standing there waiting Guy B asks what I have, I say my warranty showing valves are covered did you guys check the valve? He then replied with yes there is blockage warranty won't cover blockage you need a new toilet if you want it fixed. Guy A gets off the phone and says they were going to let me take my trailer with no charge cuz I didn't sign that section of the paperwork. I say thanks can I pick it up tomorrow. I pick up trailer the next day take it home and in 20 min I have the toilet removed and bypassed the valve and toilet works fine. What really gets me is that there was no attempt to fix my toilet just sell me a new one. Not even a $175 per hour charge and a $30 valve was offered just a $700 new toilet. I really hope that Richardsons as a company can fix how they do business cuz I'm only 2 min away and hope that when I run into a problem outta my capabilities they don't try and take advantage of me again. I spoke with Brad I believe. He was helpful in getting me info. Not sure who serviced the toilet or who told him I needed a new one. Not sure who the guy sitting next to him that said if I wanted it fixed I needed a new toilet was ether. Toilet is working fine now that I fixed it myself so no matter what they say I didn't need a new one.
