The atmosphere was very down home comfortable and service was extremely friendly and efficient…read more As for the food, the Farmers Biscuit of fried chicken, bacon, and cheddar was good, but was not a big fan of the maple sauce. That being said, the fried chicken breast was tender and not overly salted. The biscuit was good but prefer the biscuits from places like Hardee's which are crispy outside and fluffy inside. The Power Bowl was okay, not great. I was disappointed as I expected something more than what it was. Coffee was quite good and self-serve bottomless cup. Maple Street biscuit is definitely worth a try, but not worth going out of your way if you already have a biscuit place you enjoy that is closer by.

Inside, This open concept breakfast/lunch spot has a spacious and rustic dining room. Belly on up to the counter and place your order then find a seat. I ordered Chix Waffles and my husband got the Sticky Maple. His sandwich was definitely sticky and "not memorable". My waffle was cooked to perfection but I didn't taste nor see any of the things the menu said would be in it (bacon & something else). The breading on the chicken was good but the chicken were like fingers, not tenders. They were dry. The real maple syrup is what makes this place run- it was delicious on my meal but it also drove up the price. At least no one asked a tip (not even the cash register by default!) so I shouldn't be surprised. I don't think we'll be back as it's far, the service was nonexistent (no "Welcome", "Hello", "What can I get for you", or "Do you have any questions "? Service wins me over every time, even if the food is a little less than knocking my socks off. Sadly, this place didn't deliver.

I'm being generous with 3 stars. This is probably more of a 2-2.5 star place, but the pulled pork…read moreand mac and cheese were decent enough to save it a little. The brisket, however, was absolutely terrible. Dry, with basically no fat at all, and honestly looked almost 3D printed, like something an elementary school cafeteria would serve. Brisket is such a beautiful thing that it feels like a crime to disrespect it that way. The greens weren't great either. They were missing that rich, seasoned flavor you expect from good greens. The pulled pork and mac and cheese were easily the best things we had, but even those weren't enough to make the overall meal impressive. It was also expensive for what we got. Around $50 for two people, and even the $4 peach lemonade was subpar. Overall, I just wasn't impressed. Nothing here gave me a reason to come back, especially when there's much better barbecue out there.

Our son and DIL recently went and had a good experience and asked if they could take us -- and who is going to turn down BBQ?! We went in around 5:45pm on a Saturday and got seated quickly, but the place filled up pretty quick after us. Ayla (?) was our server, and extremely sweet and knows that menu! We did have two flies buzzing around us in our corner which were quick and we only eventually killed one of the two -- part of the reason for the 3 and not a 4. Two of us ordered the ribeye, one got the chopped brisket, and one got a salad with chicken. The ribeyes were tasty, they just lacked the marbling found in a good steak at that price. (Another reason for the 3) And the chopped brisket was more shredded and wasn't as moist as you'd expect -- even after asking for some fattier pieces. (Final reason for the 3) sides were good -- TONS of onion rings/straws, delicious mashed potatoes and green beans. Overall: server was great, minor improvements needed on the food, and something needs to be done to deal with the flies INSIDE the restaurant.

The Mac n cheese is creamy & very flavorful. The hubby usually get a reg BBQ sandwich chopped & he loves his as well. He has gotten the French fries, baked beans & he says they are very good but lately he has been getting potato salad & fried okra & the potato salad I'd very good, creamy w/a celery crunch. The fried okra is lightly breaded & very fresh! The total comes in at under $30 so the price is good as well. Have had the BBQ quesadilla, the loaded BBQ potatoes & they are very good. The ambiance is typical BBQ joint & the service is excellent!

Mine was off the hook flavorful w a touch of spice and I sampled both Oatmeal's and they lit up with flavor. Smoothies were very good, peach strawberry ginger & tropical w protein powder was top notch. Back to James. His son and daughter worked there this morning.
