A personal favorite is the Nachos Jaliscos. Besides a margarita that was smoking and gurgling with seared citrus slices and requisite goofy umbrella, I also enjoyed a tall, cold draft of Dos Equis Amber (not driving that day!). This is a solid spot if you're searching for some good Mexican food! The inside isn't anything fancy, it's the typical local Mexican restaurant vibes. The salsa is served in a big bowl which is nice not to have to ask for more with a big group. I ordered the chicken chimichanga. It was good sized & came smothered with queso & rice and beans. Was forced into the 1 star. Besides realizing before I placed my order on line they scam those orders out of chips and salsa but if you call and order you get it included the flavor is good. But due to having to call for over 10 minutes then an employee picking up the phone and setting it down, hearing them laugh about not talking to customer it's great. Oh also you will wait about 10-15 minutes with every server making direct eye contact before i'm assuming one lost rock paper scissors in the back to come to the front to help a customer. My most favorite part about the entire experience were the 3 employees staring at customers coming in , standing at front desk to be seated, AND WALKING OUT AFTER WAITING SO LONG. The servers make sure you never want or need anything and explain menu items if needed. My family and I love this restaurant. We go here just about every Sunday for lunch. It's a nice relaxing visit every time. My absolute favorite dish to get is the chicken chimichanga with rice and beans, very tasty! My family has been eating here for years and had no complaints until now. We won't go back. I'd rather not get into the details, but suffice it to say that we were treated rudely by the staff. Ordinarily I would chalk it up as an aberration, but there was a very strange hostility and a sense that we weren't welcome. I really don't know what to say. The four of us all picked up on it. I asked that the tamale come with chicken on top instead of beef, and the waiter said that was fine. When the tamale came, the tamale had beef on top instead of chicken. When I mentioned it, the waiter merely said, "Okay." He did not offer to rectify the situation. Besides that, the food was fine. Just understand that you may not get what you have asked for. This place is wonderful!! For $3.99, you can get the Speedy Gonzalez (taco, enchilada, and rice or beans). The free chips and salsa are great -- and if you ask, they bring out the secret HOT salsa. Really that's what counts in the end, so I'll have to go with 3 stars. That being said, I'll be back and maybe they'll earn another star. Parking is plentiful, plentyful? no, no, it's plentiful. Sorry to report that my dining experience was sub-par. I was seated immediately. The waitress appeared and took my drink order and brought quickly. I ask for a few moments to review the menu...and she disappeared. There are of course lots of reasons why this can occur, but the 8 other waitstaff and host walked past my table repeatedly and did not inquire if i wanted to place an order..at lease five minutes. Eventually one of the waiters who had been standing at the bar, brought out a take out order and then asked if I wanted to place an order. I placed the order with him he walked back to the kitchen. and apparently told the waitress who came out to confirm, I guess. The Steak Ranchero was essentially boiled in the overly juicy "sauce". The rice that came with it was cold and shared a plate with refried beans that were warm... how does that happen? On the plus side the guacamole appetizer was very good.
