    Shredded beef plate
    Steven T.

Had the shredded beef plate. The guac, piece of bread, meat and sides were absolutely exploding with flavor! Had the Del margarita and maybe the best margarita I have ever had! Delicious South American food!

Panama House is just a few blocks away from me and I've always wanted to try it. I found them online and saw they do a bottomless brunch. The first time I went, they wouldn't allow me to do the bottomless brunch because we were a party of "2" and it needed to be 3 or more. This is not stated anywhere in the restaurant, online or on the menu. So we left out of frustration. The second time we came with 4 people and asked for the bottomless brunch and we were told we were to make a booking ahead of time if we want the bottomless brunch. Again, very annoyed. We ended up ordering off the regular menu and everything was delicious. We ordered the *Huevos rancheros -flour and corn tortillas, scrambled eggs, cheese, veracruz beans, guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo. *Smoked corn fritters bourbon-smoked corn, avocado, poached egg, tomato relish, ranch dressing *Chicken 'n waffles -crispy fried chicken, belgian waffles, bacon-jalapeno maple syrup, cilantro, *A Quesadilla, *Crispy prawn tacos -coriander crema, jalapeno, radish, brunt avocado. Overall food is great, but a little displeased with the experience. Still wanting to try that bottomless brunch.

We've been a few times and have to say the customer service can let this place down a little. Twice our food has come late and the bill can escalate quickly. Have you ever wanted to try South American street food but have been a bit reluctant to travel by…read moreplane the +50 hours to get to the heart of South America? Now you don't have to thanks to Arepa, the ultimate restaurant for South American street food. This cozy little place isn't much to look at on the inside. It keeps things simple and minimalist. Posters stuck up with black tape, neon logo sign, black and white menu board. The dining areas are one large wooden table to share inside and three small tables outside. The menu is simple. Four different mains to choose from, each a corn dough pouch filled with wholesome and flavourful fillings. There is a vegetarian option, vegan option, chicken option and pork option, with four chooses for extra fillings. Four dollars extra will give you a generous side of fries. Easy, tasty, satisfying. Each table has its own napkin dispenser and bottle of chilli mayo and garlic aioli. Having the two greatest dipping sauces within arms reach truly defines heaven. We only made one of our corn pockets a combo, as one side of fries was enough for me and the wife. Was there an all out sauce war between the chilli mayo and garlic aioli? You bet. The chips were cooked right on point. A delightful crunch outside with hot fluffy... cassava! Not potato but cassava, which looks like white sweet potato but tastes and feels just like potato. I honestly thought it was potato chips but no... cassava. Our corn pockets came out in good time. They might look like something you'd have as a snack but believe me these hand held corn pockets will fill you up. My black beans and feta with guasacaca (mushy avocado) was amazing. The corn pocket held the filling firmly in place. The sharpness of the feta was subdued by the smoothness of the black beens. An absolute perfect balance of flavours. This place also offers a selection of canned beers and cider. I'm not much of a tinnies fan myself but at the end of the day beer is beer, be it in a bottle or a bucket. Got to try my first watermelon pilsner. It's just what you'd expect, beer with an undercutting watermelon flavour. I had no idea it could be done. Not sure I'd order it again but it was well worth the try. $42.50 for two corn pockets, one being a combo and two beers. At first I thought it was a bit steep but realised that the beers were $7 each. Would we come back? Try and stop us.

They have the traditional Tamal - they come wrapped in a plantain leaf and inside are potatoes and masa (a corn paste). Delicious. Another interesting item is their bread with cheese - 'pandequeso' - wow. There are some great fruit juices and some exotic fruits that are pretty rare in Sydney - my favorite is the Guanabana. They are not the same as guavas. The guanabanas taste a little like strawberries but sour if that makes any sense. The locale opened about a year and a half ago and now has four tables on George Street. Not exactly the most peaceful area. With all the excellent Columbian specialties it is no surprise that it attracts a Spanish speaking clientele so it feels a little like South America. And of course the most important thing is the coffee (using organic Columbian arabica beans) is excellent and the sizes are generous.

This tiny place looks brand spanking new and appeared magically before me as I wandered out of Haymarket desperate for caffeine. The coffee machine has a 'bank notes hall of fame' stuck all over it, and I was intrigued to find they sell a bunch of Colombian pastries and juices. Never had a Feijoa juice. Only a matter of time now. The coffee serves are generous and great value, and they've got snack and lunch options to eat at the tiny tables outside and the counter inside. Best coffee in the world? Hard to say. I think I need to try it again...

We were then told there was no manager on duty and that a new app was to blame. I understand places get busy but we were never offered anything complimentary- whether it be money off the bill or chips and salsa or anything. Lovely place and always great music and food, but really really let down by the service tonight. Our waitress Gabriella was very poor and didn't even seem to care about how she ruined our night. Very poor service. We are regulars and never coming back now!
