Just walked in off the street on a Tuesday in school holidays to discover, $3 tacos and kids eat free! Both my fussy eaters ate their kids DIY taco kits and had to have an extra serve of the chicken. Now there is talk that the 6 year old wants to come back here for her birthday dinner! I had the karate, fish, Chilli, pulled pork & beef tacos all where great with standouts being the karate and fish. We had no problems with the staff they where helpful gave good service. We'll definitely be back any day of the week!

Burritos were invented to be a fast food. See it's easy; you take some rice, meat, salsa, and cheese and wrap them together. Bondi Burrito is the only place in the world that I have waited over an hour to eat a Burrito. Lesson 1: If you're busy, hire more staff. Lesson 2: Hire more staff. For Bondi socialites that prefer to be seen than to be seen eating, this is a perfect place to hang out with your mates, sip on frozen margaritas, take in a bit of people watching on Bondi Beach. The location is spectacular, but that isn't really a determinate of the establishment. Proceed with caution if you're hungry. If you're not, go for it, you'll have a great time.

Was hesitant to try this place at first because of its rating, but then we noticed there weren't many ratings so we decided to give it a try. Good thing we took a chance, because Beach Burrito Co. is fabulous. I had the Fried Chicken Taco & the Pulled Pork Taco and both were amazing. We also ordered the chips and guacamole and was super impressed with their unique guac. The atmosphere is also cool, I mean how can it not be with a mini half pipe. Great job guys!

Looking for somewhere to lunch in Coogee, we'd almost reach the end of their cafe strip and were thus far uninspired. With shop after shop filled with same-same cafes, nothing stood out and begged us to eat there. Pausing to mull over which of the cafes we should revisit, we looked to our left to see a small courtyard that resembled an old open air arcade. Directly in front of us was another of the same-same style cafes, but hidden behind it, screaming to us in splashes of hot pink, orange and turquoise, was Beach Burrito Co. I love themed restaurants and thus I loved the super kitsch decor that brought Beach Burrito Co. to life. With thatched awnings, umbrellas, mosaic cactus statues in vibrant turquoise (a little chipped and worse for wear) and paintings that made skulls look sexy, this place is worth coming to for the theme as much as (if not more than) for the food. For a vegetarian, the extensive use of the word 'pig' in their menu was, whilst somehow endearing, a little off-putting. Otherwise, the menu has a pretty extensive range of burritos, fajitas, quesadillas and chimichangas, as well as their freshly cooked corn chips, which come either in nachos form or as a side with the burritos. Prices are pretty average for the area and they tailor well to kids also, with basic tacos and burritos and plain corn chips. The most tantalising menu item for me was the one thing they didn't have available on the day: "Jalapeno Poppers - Battered jalapenos chillies stuffed with Philly cream cheese served with sour cream and salsa". This one comes with a warning of "they are hot!" I think this place would be good as a summer nights rendezvous venue. A little too warm during the day (they really need to install some mega-huge fans here if they want the lunch crowd), muggy summer evenings would be the perfect backdrop to Beach Burrito Co.'s buckets of Coronas and frozen margaritas. Viva La Mexico.

Pretty good tacos, went on a taco Tuesday so it was actually a really good price. My only complaint is that they didn't give us any water.

The food was not good nor was the price tag. The staff was equally subpar in customer service.

Decent food and atmosphere, but nothing special. Lots of experimental looking stuff on the menu but they struggle with the basics.

Casual and fun atmosphere, big meals! Sometimes it feels like it ages for the food to arrive.

Definitely check out their taco Tuesday as all tacos were $3! Such a steal since they are usually $6-$8. We started off with their totopas and guacamole. The guac came out pretty quickly. The chips were nice and warm and the guac was pretty good just a bit heavier on the lime side. Also they refilled our chips and guac later in the night and didn't charge us which was great! The crispy chicken taco was delicious. The creamy sauce was perfect. The Baja fish taco was ok. Not very flavorful could have used more toppings. The coffee braised beef taco with sriracha was quite good as well. Their tacos are all served on small green tortillas. I would say 3 definitely filled me up. I will definitely be back for another taco Tuesday!

It may be a chain but dios mio! Guzman Y Gomez have nailed Mexican street food…read more The food is great, it's fresh and healthy and you can tell the high quality of the ingredients. This is no sloppy, messy, greasy mexican fast food. This is good mexican street food - possibly better than some of what you'd get on the streets of Mexico City. I love popping in and grabbing a couple of tacos, sitting at the bar table by the window and watching the goings-on in the Tea Garden Hotel's beer garden across the road - it's always comical! I'm also a huge fan of the mini-burritos, which are the perfect size! What's most impressive about GYG is the continuity in the quality of food, quality of service and the overall dining experience of this chain of restaurants. Every GYG I've visited is excellent. There are a large number of Mexican "restaurants" around town that could learn a thing or two from GYG. I only wish GYG would bite the bullet and open a full restaurant with a beer as they would make a killing. Mi gusto mucho.

I've been here quite a few times, so I've sampled quite a few options on the menu....and my favourite would have to be the Barramundi Bowl....i decided to try it for a change (as I normally do the Veggie Bowls - also excellent) and now I have an addiction. The food taste super fresh and flavoursome and despite the fact that these places are popping up faster than acne on your teenage cousin, it seems they have still maintained their quality.... So back to the Barramundi Bowl - it's basically grilled Barrumundi fish pieces on rice with vegetables and yummy mexican additions like guacamole, peppers and sour cream.... it is so good but my description doesn't do it justice.... it' costs around $12 and I really really really really recommend you try it! If only they sold Tequila here, I think I'd never leave...

I originally found it by wandering around the shopping centre years ago and have been here a few times, namely for a drink while waiting for a movie to start. However, since I discovered cinemas in the city I rarely head out to Bondi Junction for a movie when I happen to be in Sydney. As for the pub, well it's not really one of my favourites. Honestly, it's pretty dull, and the only reason I ever came here was because it was convenient (and I didn't know about the other pubs in Bondi Junction).

The Eastern is located in Bondi Junction (the building is actually a part of Bondi Westfield) just a short walk from the station. The Eastern is famous for its big Wednesdays and ability to attract a crowd in the middle of the week, when all the other nightclubs are so-called 'dead'. The club offers three levels of good music (different levels, different music) so you and your friends can split up and hang out in whatever area you prefer, or try out all levels at a time. Rather conveniently, there's a bar located on each level to make sure you and your friends are hydrated throughout the night. On Wednesdays, entry is free or discounted when you put your name on the guest list. Just sign up on Facebook and click attending and you're halfway there already. My mood changes when it comes to the Eastern, I used to have a pretty good time there, but the end of the HSC year heralds nights better spent at home.

Let me tell you upfront: There is no elevator. You will have to climb up all those stairs. I huffed…read moreand puffed my way up there and it was a mad house once I arrived. Seems to be a popular place. Several parties were going on, seemed like a bachelorette party, a birthday, a group of folks all dressed in pink and another group dressed like flappers. It was extremely loud and unfortunately I was not able to make my way to an area where I could have checked out the view. It is semi covered by a roof and then there is an open air area, but the are large umbrellas you can hide under. I had a nice little drink and enjoyed the people watching. They have quite a drink menu and also offer some food, but that is rather limited. Just come up here for the drinks and the party atmosphere. I have to say that the bartenders are very nice.

The staircase had a few more steps than I had thought but since the walls were covered with a rather nifty form of graffiti art sort of fun. Overall I found the seating and general atmosphere of being up on the roof top extremely pleasant and sort of a welcome relief from being on street level. The general set up with bar and food service is really good, orderly, neat, clean, trendy and fun. For food, I went for the for their Wagyu flat iron steak. Though listed on their menu as barbecue it actually came grilled, but that might be because Australians, as is the much the same situation in the United States north of the Mason Dixon line, are oblivious to the differences between "barbecuing" and "grilling." Hence when Australians say they are going to "toss whatever on the barbie," they actually mean they are going to toss it upon an open grill. Nevertheless, the steak was really good, served with a nice side salad. My dining companion, Yelper Jim D., ordered the salmon skewers which were likewise perfectly grilled, served with a side of greens and topped with a sprig of fresh dill in what was not only delicious but eye appealing. Because of the good food, reasonable prices and nifty rooftop location, I haven't any hesitation in being a fan of Sweetheart's or of recommending it.
