That jalapeno sauce was some of the best sauces, period, that I've ever had - it had a nice kick, but not too spicy, a hint of sweetness, but more tangy and flavorful... So good that we bought their big bottle ($15). 2 days later and we are halfway done. :( My baby girl was making a huge mess with her PEZ candy and they were dropping all over, but the lady who took care of us, was extremely patient and understood our frustration. She was graceful towards us! Everywhere I look, and I don't mean to offend anyone but, too many "American" restaurants that serve the same or very similar dishes and there isn't much around that offers distinctive cuisine, but this place is different and I was glad that we ended going there, especially after going to a very disappointing restaurant the night before. We knew that they had not received their liquor license and brought a bottle of wine. We are amazed by the number of choices on the menu. I had the red snapper meal. Normally it is fried. I asked if it could be steamed and the owner said, "Of course". My wife ordered the country platter which comes in three sizes. She ordered the small one and was stuffed. I took some of my meal home.
