Chorizo was just across the street from our hotel so we overlooked it at first. I now regret that. The ambience, the food, the experience. Everything was great. We could've easily eaten 3-4 meals here! This is a menu worth exploring. Interesting S American cuisine. The four people in our party all ordered something different and tried to decide who ordered the best meal. The Indio plate had so many different flavor profiles, but came together for a savory meal. We all left stuffed with food still on our plates. Too many choices to want to split a plate, but portions are bountiful. Great value, diverse menu and friendly staff! Chorizo is an Asheville MUST try!

There's just something so charming and inviting about it that draws you in. The true highlight, though, was the hospitality. On our first visit we had Rusty, and on our second we had Alex. Both of them were absolute gentlemen and total sweethearts. We genuinely enjoyed chatting with them , they made us feel so welcome and gave fantastic recommendations. Their warmth and attentiveness really elevated the entire experience. And the food? Absolutely amazing! Everything we tried was delicious. We would highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting Asheville. If you're lucky enough to have Rusty or Alex as your server, you're guaranteed an exceptional experience from start to finish.

I ordered the Pork Arepa and Yuka Fries. The food was delicious - fresh, very flavorful and well balanced. The staff was friendly and did not act annoyed at us for bringing kids along. They even came out and offered us a high chair. Even though the restaurant is small, they had ample outdoor seating as well. We enjoyed our lunch immensely! When we return to the area, we'll have to come back and try more from the menu.

We added escabeche (perfect blend of flavors!) and tostones (with delicious sauce). We needed dairy free as well, so sadly no queso for us, but please enjoy it if you aren't dairy free. We got our order to go, and it was packaged well and stayed hot until we got back to our hotel room, even though it was quite cold outside. This is a tiny place with maybe 8-12 barstools. It is squeaky clean and decorated so nicely. The owner has a great sense of humor as evidenced by his posted hours by the door. Everything is gluten free. I wish this was in my hometown. I would eat there several times a week. I will certainly return when I am in Asheville again, and am even considering placing an order on my last day here to take home for dinner. One thing to note: street parking only as the lot next to the building belongs to another establishment, and they don't play with you parking in their spots.

My only negative was that it took too long to get my margarita from the bar! Had it come sooner, i would have gladly ordered another one. Interestingly enough - there is no complimentary chips and salsa - it's complimentary corn elotes. Different concept that I was not aware of going in. At first I was a little disappointed, but then I saw how much food I got for my meal, and I'm glad that I didn't get the chips and salsa b/c I wouldn't have been able to eat my meal! For entrees, I got the Grilled Garlic Steak Toastadas + grilled veggies + salad. My husband got the Puffy Wrap w/ Chicken + yuca + salad. It was so much food! Each of our dishes were delicious and we tried to eat as much as we could. Our server was very attentive and we appreciated it. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

The food is *excellent*, the starters are great, the cocktails are delicious, we haven't had one dud on any menu item. The host is helpful and energetic, the interior is charming and interesting. If this was in Asheville, or Biltmore Square, it would be going gangbusters. I very much love the filling on the inside which was a chocolate frosting and loved the chocolate layer on the outside of the cake. The cake part itself was definitely a bit dry. It was flakey when I put my spoon into it. Still good but the filling helped a lot. It did come with some kind of fruit sauce on the side (maybe strawberry?) but I didn't wanna make it a fruity chocolate cake so I dipped a few bites. I also saw they had Bavarian cream churros and since I've never had churros before, I wanted to try those as well. I'm not sure how churros are supposed to be but I was thinking they would be a little soft since they had filling but they weren't. They were on the crunchy side and I that kinda made it hard to taste the cream in the middle. They were good but like I said, not sure if that's how they're supposed to be. They came with a chocolate sauce and it was delicious but that definitely masked the flavor of the churro. Both were $7 each so not too bad. I think I'd get both again if I'm here in the future. Side note, no, I don't finish either dessert. I took them home. Lmao!

The hostess found our reservation right away and seated us inside--originally I asked for patio seating, but Mother Nature said "absolutely not," so indoors it was. Our waitress was fantastic. I'm about 87% sure her name was Sylvia (according to my girlfriend), but what I do know is that she was a fun, blondish woman from New Orleans with a personality that made the experience even better. We kept it light--just drinks and appetizers to share. I ordered a Coquito, my girlfriend ordered something sweet (the name escapes me, but the smile didn't). Food-wise, we shared the chicken empanadas, yuca fritas, and crispy Caribbean wings. Every bite was a win. We had to make a dramatic exit because we were heading to a walking ghost tour (priorities), so we grabbed dessert to go: pastelitos de guayaba. Even eaten on the move, they were absolutely delicious. Great food, great service, great vibes--10/10 would celebrate another month-versary here.
